"I think Granite Farms Estates is 100%, that's why I'm going there. They more than satisfied me. I liked that they have a giant indoor pool, a big, wonderful library, and a gym to support my activities. It was in a beautiful country setting and you don't even see or hear the city. It's the best I've seen. The staff is excellent, very concerned, and caring. The meals in the café were very good and reasonable cost-wise. It's wonderful and I'd be on the second floor, which I wanted, and it has a beautiful balcony. The place has nice landscaping. They have a lot of very good activities. I've talked to the people there and they're very happy. The lobby is just immense, new, bright, and welcoming. It's just a beautiful entrance. They're redoing my apartment completely so everything is going to be brand new."

"Our mother moved to WHV over 14 yeas ago and our family has found the facility, staff, and grounds to be everything advertised. Until a few months ago she spent the last 3years in the assisted living (personal care) section of the healthcare facility. The staff is attentive and caring, and we appreciate the fact that they regularly kept us advised of any changes, events, etc. whether they were critical in nature or not. During that time our mother spent a few temporary periods in the skilled nursing section while recovering from various events. She is now a permanent resident in the skilled nursing section, and we are extremely pleased with the care she is receiving and the caring nature of the staff, from her nurses and aides to the administrative personnel and the people who coordinate and lead the various activities. This is so important to us, as we visit often but do not live close by. "

"My grandmother was a patient here for her medical needs. The staff was attentive, patient, friendly and assisted our family. Not only were we kept informed, we could see the changes in my grandmother from the time she entered the facility to her departure. I would highly recommend Greenleaf to anyone seeking care for a loved one. "

"I liked Maris Grove. The people there were very nice. The food was wonderful. The units were lovely. I had gone there several times. In fact, I would go back again tomorrow for something. The apartments depended on what you chose. They had a one bedroom or two bedrooms. They had a kitchen, a dining room, living room, and a bedroom or two bedrooms; if it's two bedrooms, they had two baths. They had a swimming pool. They would go on a lot of trips. They had all sorts of activities; you name it, they had it. They had a walking group. They also had a theater. Maris Grove was all connected. It was very large. In fact, it had two buildings. "

"It had excellent accommodations. The food was a hit. They had a little concert room for stage shows or concerts that was not just a converted room or living room. "

"At Beaumont at Bryn Mawr, they would deliver your dinner to your room like a hotel. They have a small, elegant dining room instead of a large cafeteria. They have the usual activities like fitness, swimming, library, and other things. It is an old mansion that has an organ, so they put on organ concerts. Their apartments were big with eastern and southern exposures and large decks. What impressed me was that people and the fact that I could treat it like a hotel room with room service. "

"My husband’s uncle has been fortunate enough to be cared for at Barclay several times in the past year (but unfortunate enough to have fallen twice!), and my husband and I couldn’t be more happy with how he was treated. He’s a man with a plan, and he wanted to get well and get home, and he did – all the staff worked together so well, the nurses, the aides, Social Workers, therapists, everyone – it was a real team effort and they made his well-being matter to them as much as it matters to us. "I looked at Waverly Heights. It was very clean and very attractive. They have nice apartments that you can enter without going through a lobby, which was nice. They have fine activities and a number of separate dining places, which were fine too. The facility was well run. "

"I have been a resident at Simpson House for five months and my experience here has exceeded my expectations. It is a warm friendly atmosphere, very clean and safe. The food is of good quality, varied and fresh. There are many social activities. The staff is outstanding. Requests are addressed promptly. Amenities include hair salon, movie theater, very large library, 2 exercise rooms with varied machines. Also medical care is available on a 24 hour basis. I have visited many facilities and this one was the best that I encountered"

Makemie at Whiteland is the newest senior living option in the Delaware Valley. Makemie features spacious new apartment and villa homes, as well as assisted living and nursing care all on the campus. We are accepting reservations now and wil be open in 2012.

"Kendal-Crosslands Communities offers a continuum of care which is a plus for me when I need more help. It's a Quaker community, and I find the Quaker values a very comfortable environment. It's physically attractive, but they're low-key not into fancy chandeliers. They say it's spooky but outside, the grounds are attractive. The staff has always been pleasant and helpful. I like the way they stay in touch with prospects like me, they don't overdo it or keep bugging me. On the other hand, they check in now and then with a phone message or an email. It's a balanced marketing approach, I just found them to be professional and dignified but friendly and responsive. The facility itself is not brand new, maybe parts of it are, but the facility as a whole has been there for a while. So it's not as spiffy as some of the newer places. Their activities are pretty much typical of those places. They make arrangements so that you can go into the city for concerts, plays, and visits to museums. They also have onsite facilities for sport and fitness, movies, and bridge."

"We will be going to The Watermark. My visit there was fine, very pleasant, and very informative. They did not have a pool. The staff was fine and couldn't be nicer. They had 1-bedroom and 2-bedrooms room available."

"Stonegates was absolutely outstanding, but very expensive. The apartments were great. They're laid out very well and they're oriented to the community they're trying to serve. The staff member was great. She knew what she was doing and she had a great facility. They have everything. They have cards and guest lectures. The food was wonderful and the dining area was set up like a restaurant. It's like a five-star resort."

"Cathedral Village was beautiful and I loved it. The rooms are a little smallish. What I liked about it is every apartment window looked out on a green space with trees. It's just nicely settled in the woods. They had a wonderful clay studio, a painting studio, and indoor gardening for the people. The facilities were very impressive. The dining area was nice and the food was excellent."
