"The rooms at Kendal Crosslands were nice enough. It's surrounded by lovely gardens. The staff was very pleasant, nice, and friendly. They have lovely grounds and they have a library."

"I toured Granite Farms Estates. I was with two of my friends, and we noticed the same thing, that everybody seemed happy. It seemed to be a friendly place. There's a concept of continuous care. They go on trips, they give you transportation to stores once a week or something, and they take you to church, and that's important to me. The food was very good. The staff were professional and very pleasant. I especially like the outside which was very good as far as what it looked like with the flowers and the grass. Everything was very nice. Inside, they had a pool, and I like to swim. They have a nice theater where they show films, and they also have different activities there. I met these three women who had apartments right where I was going to be, and they were very nice and very welcoming. Every apartment had a balcony or a patio, one or the other. It was more modern and more pleasant than a lot of the places. The room that I'm going to get, they're going to do new floors, paint the cabinets, and paint the walls. "

"My father is in Riddle Village, and he started living in independent living with his wife, and then his health deteriorated, so he's now in the more long term side of the community. He has been there for about 15 to 20 years. The food is excellent. The place is set up pretty nicely, and it's in a Williamsburg type of setting. You have your individual apartments, and they have activities. They continue to care for you as you age and incorporates pretty much everything you need there."

"My mother is moving in at Lima Estates and it's a buy in community. They serve one or two meals a day. The rooms are beautiful. My mother is an artist and they have an art studio. They also have trips if the residents want trips. The staff are very courteous. They have concierge there and volunteers to do things for the residents. It's a really nice place. "

"I did not spend a lot of time with the staff, even after my grandparents moved into the assisted living building, but when I was around the staff, I did not see anything I had an issue with. The carpets are clean, the rooms and hallways are wide and kept clear, the medical staff were never complained about when I talked to my grandmother (she would if there was anything). "

"Barclay Friends was a lovely place. It has limestones that looked very beautiful and the garden areas were extremely beautiful. The food was very good. They have Bridge and board games. The decorations and placement of things were very good for a senior place."

"I went to a luncheon at Friends Village at Woodstown. We did the assisted living and the independent living. The assisted living had more like private hospital rooms. The independent living apartments were absolutely beautiful. The one that I was in had an individual bedroom, a separate living room, fireplace, kitchen, an actual dining room, a garage, and a patio. It's like a home. The staff was excellent. She had lunch with us, and there was another couple at my table. It was just a very, very informative time. They had different speakers, including some people from The Village. It was just very informative. I haven't seen anything quite like that. The food was good, and everybody at the table agreed. I don't know if it was just for us that day or this is the regular menu. It was very good. It was a good luncheon."

"I had a good experience at the retirement facility. The staff was very attentive of everyones needs and were very respectful. i wouldnt mind going back again to see my grandmother even though i am usually uncomfortable in those kinds of enviorments. "

"Dunwoody Village is the best in the area! My mother is here in Personal Care and has been for three years and she loves it. We had visited a few facilities before her move and, although Dunwoody is not the newest, it is by far the most friendly and all of the staff members have been wonderful. I can not say enough wonderful things about this facility. "

Makemie at Whiteland is the newest senior living option in the Delaware Valley. Makemie features spacious new apartment and villa homes, as well as assisted living and nursing care all on the campus. We are accepting reservations now and wil be open in 2012.

"Simpson Meadows is very clean. My mom likes the food there. I like that everyone is caring and she's safe in there. "

"We’ve eaten at Ware Presbyterian and we talked to the residents there. We liked the facility a lot. The staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable. The grounds are very nice and well kept. "

"I would have liked to know that not all assisted living facilities can handle patients who are aggressive and that you need a nursing home that can provide the proper medication This facility has been able to give my husband the care he needs. He has been there for almost 26 months and is physically healthy. "

"I visited Simpson House. I liked the location and the different activities they have. They had a lot of community rooms, a gym, and a workout facility. It was really nice. The guy who I met with was part of their care team, and he was really nice, and the receptionist was nice. They showed me a room layout. It had everything new, like the marble countertops and dishwasher. They had one- and two-bedroom units. They had washers and dryers. They had a restaurant in there and they serve three meals a day with your stay there. It was part of your bill. They also had an alternate restaurant, and they change the menu for a slight cost. It wasn't expensive. You can cook your meals if you choose to. They had meeting rooms, like if you wanted to have a party, if you wanted a guest, or if they want to throw a birthday party for you. They have TV rooms and movie rooms. They had a lot to offer. They were immaculate."
