"We chose Brookdale at White Chapel for my parents-in-law because it's close to home. They have only been there a couple of weeks, and we haven't had any problems. The staff seems to be very helpful. Their room is nice sized, spacious, comfortable, and clean. The food has been good. "

"It is beautiful and very welcoming. We were greeted immediately and even though we didn’t have a scheduled appointment, they were more than happy to accommodate our tour request. We met with Billy, who was extremely knowledgeable and made us feel like he and the facility truly care about their residents. We were offered something to drink and an invitation to have lunch in the cutest little 1950’s style diner. Every employee and resident we came across was more than happy to share their feelings about living and working in this amazing place. We were awestruck with the way it is set up like its own little town, complete with a post office, general store, Drs. Office and salon. There is even valet parking in their garage! This is a must see for anyone interested in luxury retirement."

"The Vero at Newark is a brand-new facility, so everything is up to date. We met several of the staff, and they were all very friendly and welcoming. We ate lunch there and it was excellent. And I think they had a broader range of activities than some of the others. The rooms were very new and nice, but relatively small. I thought the food was excellent. There was a reasonable choice, and it was very good. The living atmosphere was very open, airy, bright, and very nice. They had entertainment coming in. The night we were there, they had a musician that was excellent. They had happy hours in their little cafe. There's a lot of things on their calendar. I can't remember all of them, but it was quite extensive. They have snacks, and they can watch sporting events. They have a theater available for rent. It was very nice."

"I went to visit Chestnut Ridge Wallingford twice. I hope my brother gets accepted, and if he does, he's going to go. It seemed clean and very friendly. It just felt warmer. The people who worked there and the people who lived there were very friendly, too. It seemed like it was active with buses moving around. It seemed like there were things for them to do."

"Harmony at Glasgow had no laundry and no full kitchen inside the apartments. The staff was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. I saw the menu. The facilities were very clean, well-organized, bright, and cheerful."

"The girl who toured me around seemed very nice. I like the facility because the apartments are of good size. I was able to see their two and one bedroom apartment. I also like that it has a balcony in it. The building itself seemed to be very nice. We walked around the facility and it seemed like they have a nice little garden area. "

"The thing that was appealing to me about Wellington was that there was not a big upfront fee; you pay by the month. The apartment I was able to look at was very nice. The inside areas were nice. They had a small area where you could get sandwiches in addition to a formal dining room. The greeters and the people at the door were very helpful. The people that live there appeared to be happy. I would give them a rating of five stars for the appearance of the place. "

"I visited Wesley Enhanced. The apartments were beautiful, and very nice. They have all kinds of activities, from physical therapy to pool, and they have an indoor pool too. They have three dining halls. It was clean, well-kept, and well-maintained."

"St. Martha Villa was very lovely. The person who showed me around was excellent. They didn't have shared bedrooms. You have to be in an apartment on your own, so my mom couldn't afford to stay there. The people we talked to seemed to enjoy the food, and the dining room was very clean and accommodating. We saw their calendar of events; there's something to do every day."

"The Quadrangle had more seminars, discussion groups, and performances compared to the other place we toured. The apartments were adequate. They were a little smaller, but they mostly had patios. There were some second floors that didn't have it; they had balconies. The food was OK, but it could use more variety. The place was well-kept, well-maintained, and modernized. They had a pool, an art room, an auditorium that was looped for hearing, a wood shop, a ceramic shop, and places for card games."

"Freedom Village at Brandywine was very, very nice. I liked it very much and I like the memory care being attached to their skilled care. I visited the memory care and the skilled care. It was very clean. The staff was very nice. The residents seemed like they were well taken care of. They were very friendly. They answered all my questions. They didn't directly at all. I took all the time I needed. The landscape outside was very nice. There were flowers and it was manicured."

"Meadowcrest At Middletown is brand new and it is beautiful. It is quite luxurious compared to the others, I've visited with high ceilings and big windows, and they have nurses on-site doing physical and occupational therapy. They have other exercise classes, yoga classes, and all kinds of physical fitness things going on. They have lots of common spaces. They have lots of activities, some large multi-purpose type rooms, and some small areas where people could gather. The dining area was quite nice. The location is right off two major highways, so it's very accessible to people in Delaware. It's kind of centrally located."

"I toured Echo Lake, and it was worth a six. It was like being in a luxury hotel. It was gorgeous. Everything that you can imagine they have, except for the chapel. They have doctors' offices. They have a gym. They had a huge art room, and a bus to take you places, like a weekly run to the supermarket, within a certain distance. Also, to doctor's offices if you didn't want to use the doctor that was there at the building. It's a couple of stories high. It was huge. For me it was expensive. They had a lot of two-bedroom units there as well."

"We had a tour there at Woodbury Mews yesterday. We put down a deposit, so we're going to be moving there. It is a \nice place. Everything is included, and they have plenty of activities and scheduled trips. All you are paying for is your phone and cable, and that's it. We will have a one-bedroom that has a little fridge and freezer. We didn't need much, and we wanted a small place just for us, but everything is fine. It doesn't have a stove because all the meals are included, and you don't pay for your meals. They even have a happy hour. The woman who helped us took us on a tour and explained everything; her name was Jean. They have a menu, and they have healthy options. It's a beautiful place. They have outdoors, and they have a turtle pond with turtles in it, and you can sit out there. They have sitting areas, too."
