"Our mom has been at Ivy Gables since May 2015. She is 94 yr old and has been having ups and downs. The staff has been with us for everything. They are compassionate and caring. Due to the intimate size of the facility noone gets lost in the crowd. The food is fantastic and thought is taken for the indiviual taste. The room is a nice side and private. We are completely satisfied with everything at Ivy Gables. I could not recommend it more. "

"I liked Meadowcrest at Middletown, but because of not having a full kitchen and not being able to do your own laundry inside the apartments in assisted living, I'd give it a four. The staff was knowledgeable. They took me around to both independent living and assisted living, explained all the differences between them, introduced me around, showed me the theater room, and all of that, so they were very thorough in letting me know what amenities they had. Everything was clean and well-organized. There was a laundry room in the hall."

"I love Ivy Creek Gracious Retirement Living. Everyone seems happy. The staff is very friendly and very nice. The layout is open, the rooms are large, the dining area is large, and the food is good. It's brand new and it's very clean. They offer breakfast, dinner, and supper. They have excursions every Wednesday, and they have a movie theater. It's affordable, large, and conveniently located."

"My father moved to Arbour Square in West Chester. I think they're doing a very good job on trying to make him comfortable and ease into the community. The food is fine. They have lots of options in terms of activities, like cocktail hours. They have social talk (or coffee talk) and movies. His room is clean, and the amenities are very nice. They have a games area outside with a firepit. They have a patio and a second patio by the lunch area. They have many outside activities with a few options."

"My wife and I will be moving into Chestnut Ridge. It's beautiful, and it's less rent for more stuff. They have all kinds of programs there. The facility is in tree-lined suburban Chester, it's very quiet, with no loud music, no race, and nothing down the street. It's not far from the mall and within reach of financial institutions and food supermarkets, and they have a bakery. All week long, every day they have a program for senior citizens. They give you a copy of what will be going on every day, seven days a week. They have activities, a bistro, and parking for anyone that has a vehicle. They have art classes, and drawing and coloring contests. They have programs for people that don't have cars where they can get paratransit to take them shopping, and to doctors. They have brain enhancement to help your memory. It's just totally beautiful, and I see why it's a hidden gem in Chester. We will have an apartment; the design and floor plans are beautiful."

"I had nothing but a positive experience with Villa at Saint Martha's. My grandmother was a resident there for a year. She had memory loss, so she resided in a high security wing with others that had memory loss as well. The staff was extremely patient with her and my grandmother came to grow quite affectionate towards some of them. She knew that they were her caretakers and truly appreciated it. My grandmother had her own room, which we were allowed to decorate with things from her home to make her feel at ease. There were daily activities planned each week and my grandmother was able to attend mass every Sunday. Every time I went to visit, the staff would welcome me warmly and let me know how she was doing that day. The facility was extremely clean and the residents all seemed well taken care of. I would recommend Saint Martha's for those looking to place a loved one in assisted living. "

"Echo Lake had a very small group of people, because it's so new, and they were all very lovely. We had lunch in one of the restaurant areas and there were a lot of people down there eating lunch. My husband and I were all by ourselves and everybody was very gracious. One by one, as they all finished lunch and left, they all came over and said hi. Some of them sat down to talk to us for 20 minutes. It was just a very friendly, very family feeling community. The people that took us through were very patient and very encouraging, but not at all pushy."

"Marydale Retirement Village seemed very welcoming. From what I saw, they appear to help the people in there a lot. They even have a food bank in there. The staff was excellent, very welcoming, and very helpful. There is a person who has been working with me for the last three weeks. She is trying to get me in there. I haven't had a tour inside the rooms, but they look small from the outside. They have wi-fi. They have a washer and dryer in each unit, so that's a good thing."

"I have nothing but good things to say about Millcroft. The apartment was rather small, but the apartment was certainly larger and adequate. The building was newer, and although I didn't talk to a lot of the staff, they seemed very helpful, very efficient, and pleasant. The premises were actually lovely. They have a decent gym, a library, and they provide the meals. The lady mentioned that you had a choice of two meals for lunch and dinner. If neither one of them are suitable, there's a set menu that you can always choose from. Breakfast was like a self-serve buffet. As far as entertainment, they had a happy hour on Fridays. So, it seemed like something really, really nice."

"I toured and it was excellent. It has a nice atmosphere, everybody was pleasant, and they even greeted us at the door. The menus for their breakfast, lunch, and dinner were excellent too. They showed us 2 independent living apartments that had microwaves and refrigerators. The place also comes with 3 meals a day and it's a brand-new building."

"We saw assisted and independent at The Summit. It's a newer facility than others, so it's a little bit more modern. The amenities were a little bit more modern as well. It's airy, there's a lot of light, and just structurally it seemed to be a better facility. They had a lot of activities for the residents. I was pretty impressed. It was just very pricy. The staff seemed pretty nice."

"My father has moved into Madeline Care Center. It's been a pretty good experience so far. His room was completely flipped. He had fresh paint and brand new laminated flooring, so it's very nice. He's in rest residential, which is assisted living in Delaware. They do not have very many activities, but I was told that an activity director was hired last week. There's not many choices per meal, but he likes the breakfast. The soup I had was good. The facility is like an old home almost, so they're renovating part of it. It's outdated, but the rooms are humongous, and I was very impressed with that. They have a library, and the dining room is very nice and has linen tablecloths. The staff is very friendly. Anytime I've asked for something to be done or changed, they jump right on it, and they do their best to accommodate us."
