My mother enjoyed her beautiful spacious room, activities and interaction with other residents in the warm clean environment of Newtown Square. From help with personal care, medication administration, daily activities and outings, each member of the healthcare team provided enthusiasm and put a smile on Mom’s face. I knew she was in the best possible place. "

"Rose Tree Place is very nice. We like it there too. This facility was actually our second pick, but they had a couple more reviews that we didn't like. The staff was very nice. The rooms/apartments were very nice. It looked like they're living in a country club. They have like foyers, hallways, sitting areas, and outside areas also. The dining room was beautiful too. It was like a hotel fancy dining room. They have the same type of activities, e.g., bingo, arts and crafts, and sing-a-longs. As for amenities, they have laundry and hairdressing. Security and safety management was pretty good. What impresses me about this place are the people that work here and the appearance and overall cleanliness. "

As a personal care home, The Roxborough Home for Women operates 24/7, providing private rooms, meals, laundry services, and light housekeeping for its residents. Our trained, professional staff administers all medications, assists the women with their daily personal needs, and participates in activities the Home provides. "We visited Chestnut Ridge. We liked the place and the rapport of the place very much. The staff was very nice, very informative, and very cordial. They had a number of things going on when we were there. They also had a Christmas party going on. The person that showed us the place was very knowledgeable. I asked a lot of questions, and I did get answers. They didn't hide anything. I checked them out, and what they told me was factual. "

"I liked everything about Fountain View at Logan Square. The location was fantastic. They have a parking garage. The rooms were a nice size. They had a washer and dryer in the room. The rent was a little expensive, but the facilities were nice and clean. The person who took us around was wonderful. He knew his business. A couple of the other people we met were very good. I liked Fountain View. The food looked very appetizing. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and they seemed to know the people that they passed in the hallway. They were friendly, and they knew about other facilities. They tell you, "You should try this one," or "Did you go there?" The atmosphere was very nice. Some of the residents I saw knew each other."

"I chose Sunrise for my mom because it's very welcoming. I like everybody's attitude. They are very friendly and very helpful. They are very accessible and easy to call. Dan, the head nurse in the wellness section, is very accessible. If you cannot reach them right then, they do call you back pretty quickly. The rooms are very nice. My mother is first in the regular section, where she has her own place, like a little studio apartment, for about a week and a half because we didn't realize that her dementia is as bad as it is, and she's trying to live. Now, she is in the reminiscent section, where the doors are locked. She is sharing a room, and she seems to enjoy it, and they do keep me aware of anything that is going on with my mother. I ate a couple of meals with her, and the food is good. She's on a heart-healthy diet, and actually she looks better than she has for a long time because of her diet. When she's eating on her own, she's not preparing the right meals. Now she never seems to be hungry, and she's not eating junk in between meals. They have activities, like they play bingo, do Bible study, and play memory games in which they try to remember something from the past. They go on outings to bookstores and shopping places. However, my mom is not a big socializer, so she is not taking part in any of the activities. It is a good experience all over, and I am very pleased with them. "

"WEL at Stapeley only deserves applause! Admission process and tour was impressive. The historical building and grounds itself are an architectural gem hidden in the middle of Mt. Airy. The hallways were full of introductions and smiling, happy hello’s. ALL of Stapeley staff ( nursing, caretakers, kitchen prep, maintenance, room cleaners, laundry, front desk and management) are all A-#1 !! —kind, attentive and compassionate. Nurse and doctor care is thorough and any questions or concerns are always addressed in a timely manner with much patience. One quickly becomes part of a Community at Stapeley— working, crying and laughing together and supporting one another for both yourself/ family and your loved one. I entered Mother in Memory Care ( Bridges) in December and we have now moved to Skilled Nursing. I already feel that the new team has quickly also become extended family! So kind and attentive to every need! By the way....the food is yummy and delicious!! I could not have made a better choice than W.E.L at Stapeley!!!"

"My mom is in here since September and it's been great! For my mom's level, it is a perfect place for her. It is not overwhelming not like those huge complexes. The staff is very caring and nice. They know everybody by name and they are very attentive. Her apartment is very nice. She has a living area, a bedroom, a nice size bathroom and she's very comfortable there. It is really cozy and she really likes it a lot. She said the food is good. There is a lot for her to do. She likes doing crafts like making jewelry, she does painting, she plays bingo, bowling and participates in music. Singers like Frank Sinatra come in. She is socializing more and they do a good job in trying to involve the family too. They have brunches for the family to come out and visit. My mom has also been in a couple of dinners where they take them out to dinners. Overall, we are very happy with them."

"I was very impressed with Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle. They're situated on an old horse farm, so there was lots of green space. There was adequate parking. They had their own in-house transportation. I noticed two or three vans there. It was very clean. The staff was very pleasant. There were residents around who were engaging with staff, and they spoke to visitors. There were visitors there that day who were visiting family. My overall impression was really good. I definitely would have put my father there if his situation hadn't deteriorated. Their smallest room was like a studio setup. It had natural light and windows. They have all the way up to a two-bedroom type of apartment. The rooms were designed to be accommodating for handicapped. If the person was in a wheelchair or a walker, there's definitely wide enough space, so they can go back and forth. It definitely was designed to be suitable for people with physical disabilities, like the way the toilet seats are set, and all the rooms and the bathrooms have handicap accessible shower stalls and emergency pulls. There were emergency phones in the hallways. They have a really large accommodating dining room. I did get to try one of their meals and it was good. Their rooms were really nice, and their cost index was affordable. They had a really great kitchen staff. I thought their food was tasty and nutritious."

"We did a tour of Sunrise of Lafayette Hill. The community was beautiful. The atmosphere, when you walk up, there were chairs outside. They were not metal, the materials were different, they were chairs you wouldn’t mind sitting in, and they're comfortable. The staff, their personality was very great. They treat you with respect. They gave us warm hospitality. We toured the place, and they showed us around. They showed us the menus, and told us all about the place, and what kind of food you would eat. They were very great; they were one of my choices for my sister to go to. The room's nice. They told me that they would have it ready. We were getting a two-room apartment. The way it was set up, you have a kitchenette, dining area, living room, and bedroom. They had an exercise room. The staff didn't keep you waiting; they were waiting when we got there. The floors, the walls, and everything didn't have a smell or anything, that was my major concern, and there's none of that. "

"I toured Daylesford Crossing. It's a wonderful place, with wonderful people and very modern-looking rooms. The staff knows every resident by name, so everybody is on a first-name basis. They took me to their physical therapy room and event room. They were doing some events when I got there. They were having a magic show. They didn't have the level of care that my parents needed, but it was one of the top ones that we liked. They had a very small library. They had someone come once a week to do hair and nails. The gym was the physical therapy room, so it was a smaller room. It was more like an apartment building."

"We toured Springfield Senior Living. We chose them because the price was within her budget and seemed like a nice place. We also got a good recommendation from a friend about it. The staff are very polite and friendly. The space was very clean and looked comfortable. We looked at a studio, which looked decent for a studio apartment. The dining area was nice, neat, and comfortable, and the parking was good."

"My mom just moved into Pinnacle at Plymouth Meeting. We put her in on Friday. She is under quarantine and wants to get out. She hates it. It's a beautiful place, but she is under quarantine right now. They say after the quarantine, she'll be much better. Also, her phones aren't hooked up. They were supposed to be hooked up on Friday. She is not able to pick up a phone and call anybody, but we are contacting her through other ways. Right now, she is just very frustrated. They said it was to be expected. My mom said the food is good. They have activities, but she is not able to participate in them yet. There's a gym, a library, a bar, and a terrace outside. Everything looks beautiful. There are supposed to be activities planned for them throughout the day, but she hasn't experienced that because of the quarantine."
