"This community is clean and beautiful. When you walk in the door it is bright and welcoming. The staff is welcoming and friendly. They go above and beyond to ensure my loved one is safe with call bells in all the bedrooms and bathrooms. I can sleep easy knowing she is safe. "

"The Quadrangle is very fancy and nice. There are lots of university people there and offices around. The one problem with it is that they don't allow for Medicare if a person needs advanced care. The staff who gave me the tour was terrific, very good, and what she showed us was comprehensive and impressive. We had a good meal there. The catering was well done and high quality. The rooms were also fine. They had a library which was quite elaborate and well-stocked, there are also events with lots of invited speakers, and I'm impressed with that."

"I went to look at Sunrise of Lafayette Hill. The staff who gave me the tour were very nice, and accommodating, they were very flexible and available, they answered questions, and they showed us around. The rooms were smallish but they were fine and seemed adequate. They're nothing special but they're fine. The actual physical layout of the place was nice because it's kind of open, so wherever you are in the building, you could kinda see all around. So I like that part of the building. We saw that they had activities like a music class. The dining area seemed nice, and there was a a living room lounge."

"We thought that The Philadelphia Protestant Home was where we're going to end up going, but it turned out to be undesirable in terms of price and facilities compared to other places. It's been there a long time and has a German background. We visited there several times, and the people who lived there loved it. They had a pool, a bowling alley, crafts room, a greenhouse, and really nice gardens to walk in with picnic shelters and lots of benches and flowers. They had a wonderful entry area with a fireplace and an open room. The staff was very helpful and gave us great tours twice. The only thing that was off-putting was that it costs $77,000 a year for an extremely small room. My brother-in-law is 6'2" and only in his 70s, so it's like putting him in a closet. We didn't have the money and I didn't want to put him in a box, so that's the only reason we didn't move there. They had continuous care and a good program. It's very lively, and I liked it a lot."

"I toured The Pinnacle at Plymouth Meeting. It seemed very accommodating, and it was clean. The staff was very personable. It was a new community. It was just built in 2020. The building was beautiful. I liked that when you went into the lobby, there was a fireplace and beautiful plants. It was very inviting."

"Springfield Crossings was new and updated, and they had a lot of amenities. The person who gave me the tour was nice. They seemed really caring and very interested in making the seniors active. They had a gym, a salon, a courtyard, a dining room like a cafe, and a garden."

"Sunrise is a very nice place. We liked that place the best of all the places we visited. The problem was it was in the outskirts of Philadelphia and my mother's friends would have problems getting there to see her so we didn't choose it. The rooms were furnished and everything was provided for her. It was all air conditioned and very clean. The people were very nice and the staff that we spoke with were very accommodating. "

"Sunrise of Newtown Square was nice, and was a little smaller. The cafeteria seemed good. They had a big room with a fireplace and a TV. When I went upstairs, on the second and third floors, they each had a little room with a big screen TV that you could come out of your room and watch something on. There's chairs set up there, too. The residents' rooms were very nice. They had three different options. They had a studio, a bigger studio, a one-bedroom, and all of them were great. I met Kevin and he was very nice. He's the administrator and he showed me those three different rooms that would be good for my brother. Since the building had three floors, you would have to use the elevator to get to some of the rooms. The grounds were nice. They had a small courtroom in the back. The facility was pushed back off from route 252, so it's not like you're right on 252. You're back a little ways, which was nice, and it's pretty quiet there."

"My father is at BrandyWine Assisted Living. The place is very clean and well-organized. We like their staff. "

"My mother was a resident of Rose Tree Place for only 2 weeks before she passed away. The attention and service she received from both the senior staff and the aides and nurses at Rose Tree was extraordinary. They are a caring and highly attentive group of people who have the patient's best interest at heart. We would highly recommend this facility for assisted living and personal care. And the one bedroom apartment was beautiful and convenient. "

"My mom moved into Sunrise of Dresher. It's very clean, and very well staffed; that's important. They have plenty of activities, and it seems like it's an open and welcoming place. When she needs help, they're generally pretty prompt in their response time. Sometimes it takes a little longer than other times. It depends on the time of day, if it's a shift change or anything like that. The rooms are very nice. The room that I got for Mom was like one of two in the building that had extra windows. It was very bright and sunny, which is better than the other rooms. Some of the rooms seem a little darker, only because they only have like one window and they're smaller. The food is really good. We actually had Thanksgiving dinner there, and I was blown away. It was very surprising to me. I did not expect it to be that good. The dining area is clean, and an open area, which is nice, and there's lots of windows, so it's very bright. I sat in on one of the activities that was fun. They also have a couple of living rabbits with the group that the residents can hold and play with. They foster the rabbits there until somebody takes them into a permanent home, and then they get more rabbits. One of the tenants also has her dog, which my mom likes to interact with. So, you're going to have a pet there if you can take care of it. It was very clean. I don't have any problems with that. The movie room is inside the activity center, so that's kind of all inclusive. There is a hair salon, but they haven't had that open. I think the hairstylist they have is on maternity leave; they're looking for some other hairstylist. There's not a lot of community areas that the residents can sit in and interact if they want to. I think that's a good value. You get the care level you need for your loved one."

"My dad is at Riverview Estates. It's nonprofit; it's not a big corporation. It's more like a family. It's close to home, so on my way home from work, I can stop, I can see him, and hang out for a half hour and not have to spend half my day traveling to bring him here and bring him back. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The place is an old Victorian that's been kept up, and it's right on the river. They can sit on the porch in the summertime and look at the river and see the sailboats go by. They have trips to ShopRite and Target. They've got more activities than I can count. They get a list of stuff for every day. They have people that come in and they have entertainment."

"My mom is in here since September and it's been great! For my mom's level, it is a perfect place for her. It is not overwhelming not like those huge complexes. The staff is very caring and nice. They know everybody by name and they are very attentive. Her apartment is very nice. She has a living area, a bedroom, a nice size bathroom and she's very comfortable there. It is really cozy and she really likes it a lot. She said the food is good. There is a lot for her to do. She likes doing crafts like making jewelry, she does painting, she plays bingo, bowling and participates in music. Singers like Frank Sinatra come in. She is socializing more and they do a good job in trying to involve the family too. They have brunches for the family to come out and visit. My mom has also been in a couple of dinners where they take them out to dinners. Overall, we are very happy with them."
