"The thing I liked least about Wesley Enhanced Living Pennypack Park was their buy-in. They want $55,000, but the rent was not bad at all. The room size and layout were great. The facilities were good. I did not taste the food, but I did go to the cafeteria and looked around, and everything looked nice. I liked this facility. The staff was very good and very knowledgeable. The model that they took us in was very clean and very neat. I liked the way they had it set up. What I saw of the building, walking through the hallway, was the cafeteria, the gym, and everything looked clean and very good. The rooms were nice, roomy, had nice closet space and nice bathrooms with walk-in showers."

"I toured Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley. The person who toured was nice, informative, and showed us everything. They had a little construction going on and remodeling, but everything was nice. The room size is nice. It wasn't too small, just right. It was clean and smelled good. The dining area looked nice, clean, and big. It was a nice size. It wasn't large, it was medium-sized. However, I had to park on the street."

"Wesley is elegant and very clean. The lobby area is sunny and bright, it invites you to come and sit for a while. The fireplace is a cozy addition. Wesley Upper Moreland is a very nice place. The staff are friendly and attentive. They offered one and two-bedroom units. Each apartment has its own washer & dryer tucked away and out of site, and a nice size full kitchen. There is a library and exercise area. Transportation is offered daily to the grocery store, hairdressers and drug stores. It is a very friendly community that is in an ideal area. There is a nice selection of activities for the residents. "

"We saw Oakwood Residence. It was the least expensive cost wise, it was nice, but not as nice as the other two we saw, but the manager was fantastic, very helpful, and informative. That's what we were considering for my mother, and it was 5 minutes from my office which was very advantageous. It was not new, but it was acceptable, and they had a lot of stuff to keep people active and get them out of their rooms."

As a personal care home, The Roxborough Home for Women operates 24/7, providing private rooms, meals, laundry services, and light housekeeping for its residents. "We toured Sunrise of Lafayette Hill, and it was put together very nicely. The staff was attentive, and we talked to Christina. She was very knowledgeable. My father was very impressed with their programs and activities for the residents. They had one bedroom, and it was nice, and it had a small refrigerator."

"We lived at Riverview Estates and liked them. However, it was too small. We had a very nice room, but I needed more room. The food was a little better, and they had more activities. The staff was really good."

"Symphony Square was a nice place. Lani was excellent and knew her stuff. The residents were doing baking and crafts projects while I was there. The dining area was beautiful, but I did not taste the food. The place was beautiful and brand new. They would only allow a maximum of 12 residents for the memory care unit which was a very nice thing."

"My mom just moved into Pinnacle at Plymouth Meeting. We put her in on Friday. She is under quarantine and wants to get out. She hates it. It's a beautiful place, but she is under quarantine right now. They say after the quarantine, she'll be much better. Also, her phones aren't hooked up. They were supposed to be hooked up on Friday. She is not able to pick up a phone and call anybody, but we are contacting her through other ways. Right now, she is just very frustrated. They said it was to be expected. My mom said the food is good. They have activities, but she is not able to participate in them yet. There's a gym, a library, a bar, and a terrace outside. Everything looks beautiful. There are supposed to be activities planned for them throughout the day, but she hasn't experienced that because of the quarantine."

"Lots of exciting renovations and upgrades underway at this independent living community in the center of Philadelphia. We are so close to everything the city has to offer but also have great entertainment and dining options available too. Love living at Fountain View."

"We toured both the assisted living and memory care at Sunrise of North Wales. It seemed very well organized. Everyone knew everyone, which was very nice, and I liked the fact that it was a smaller facility. We were on several floors and they showed us a lot of things, including the layout of the rooms and things like that. We talked about what would work for my two friends because we had a lot of requirements considering that they had two different sets of needs, and they were all discussed. So, it was good. The lady who toured us knew everybody and they were all acknowledging each other with good mornings and hi's. She answered all the questions and was very clear. It was easy to follow what she was talking about when we asked some things. She also offered information on things we hadn't thought of right off the bat, and that made it a lot easier. She was very well informed. The apartments seemed sufficient for what they were. I just thought I would have liked to have a bigger living area. The bedrooms seem to be the most spacious area with the sunlight and a view, which was a really important factor for us. I particularly liked their main dining room. I thought that was nice and I think they would appreciate and probably use that primarily. They also had some patios and some porches upstairs and downstairs, which I liked, because this couple lived out in the woods and they overlooked these beautiful gardens, and that's what they stare at every day. It was important for them to have something like that. That was a real plus."

"My father is at Blue Bell Place. Everything is good there. Everything is beautiful. It looks like it is new and is decorated beautifully. My father has a really nice suite with a kitchenette. He has plenty of space. The care has been good. He has medication management and a certain level of care. He seems well taken care of. They do his laundry. I actually went to a number of other places, but I like this best, and the price was the best. They have a bus, and they go to the grocery store and to Dollar Tree. They also take them out to different restaurants or shows, to wineries, and out to see the holiday lights. They have games, black jack, poker, and different entertainment that come in. Many activities are more for women, so my father only gets involved with so much. "

"My father is at BrandyWine Assisted Living. The place is very clean and well-organized. We like their staff. "

"Brookdale Northampton has a lot of tenured employees, so there mustn't be a ton of turnover. The employees were very happy. The manager has reached out to us and she's very dedicated and thorough with all of her explanations and her tour. The apartments were very pretty. I got to meet the entertainment coordinator and she went over with me some of the activities that they have. I liked that there's in-house physical therapy, because mom needs that. They also have somebody who come in and do your haircuts and stuff. It's very helpful that they have a mini-fridge (almost like a tiny kitchenette) in their rooms. Mom sometimes needs cold water and applesauce. So, having that small fridge to be able to keep some of those items nearby is helpful. She likes to make her own coffee in the morning, too. They showed me examples of their menus. They have two choices of meals for lunch and dinner, plus something that's offered regularly, like a sandwich and hamburger. Then they have salmon or pork chop that you can get (and that changes up). Some of the activities were musical drumming, bingo, games, and trips around the area on their little bus. There are farms nearby and shopping. They have a little gift shop inside for those who can't go outside. They can go to that little gift shop instead (almost like a mini dollar store). They have mass and I think they have a rosary group. It's just a little old and outdated."
