"My mom moved into Sunrise of Paoli. She loves it. She loves every bit of it. She likes the fact that it's a community and not a hospital, and that it's very clean. She also likes the fact that everyone there is very friendly. She also likes the fact that when she asks for some help, they're very prompt and also very professional. The staff is very professional. The food is excellent. The facility is very clean and very orderly. Everything is very well marked. You don't get lost in the building. You don't get lost outside. They have activities every day. My mom participates in them and she's an instructor in some of the activities. She instructs knitting and crochet. So, she's not only involved as a participant as well as an instructor. They have a veranda that you can sit on and they also have a common area where you can sit as well as the dining area, like a bistro-type area."

"The staff is generally friendly and very accommodating. Our situation was unique because our parents both need assistance, but at different levels. The staff has gone out of their way to accommodate dads “need” to be with mom, even though she actually needs more physical care than he does. The Admissions Director and the Director of Nursing deserve the credit for making this possible. Hopefully mom will get well enough to join dad in assisted living and they will both be happy in their new home."

"My mom is in here since September and it's been great! For my mom's level, it is a perfect place for her. It is not overwhelming not like those huge complexes. The staff is very caring and nice. They know everybody by name and they are very attentive. Her apartment is very nice. She has a living area, a bedroom, a nice size bathroom and she's very comfortable there. It is really cozy and she really likes it a lot. She said the food is good. There is a lot for her to do. She likes doing crafts like making jewelry, she does painting, she plays bingo, bowling and participates in music. Singers like Frank Sinatra come in. She is socializing more and they do a good job in trying to involve the family too. They have brunches for the family to come out and visit. My mom has also been in a couple of dinners where they take them out to dinners. Overall, we are very happy with them."

"My sister is at McCallum LLC. It is near our home. The room is fine. My sister likes it too. She has her own bathroom. So far, since she has been there, she has been in the room by herself, but there is a room for one other person. I absolutely recommend this facility. It is a nice community. It is quiet. My sister likes it. "

"The staff at Sunrise of Haverford all seemed very friendly. I was very impressed with the salesperson who was showing me around. He was very warm and approachable and answered a lot of questions that I had and introduced me to the staff while we were walking around. I saw a few rooms; they looked comfortable. There was a small lounge which was well stocked with fruits, snacks, and popcorn, and I thought it was quite lovely. "

"Columbia Cottage Collegeville looked very nice, and the people there were very congenial. It was relatively new, and it was right across the street from the Collegeville diner, and I liked their tuna fish sandwiches. It was also near the Toastmaster Club that I belong to. Everything I saw looked very nice. The room looked nice. Everything was clean. It's in a very good neighborhood. I saw the grounds, the office, and they had a little room where they held a cooking class."

"Dad is moving into Traditions of Lansdale. There were quite a few reasons for choosing them; the first was my outreach with Spencer, one of the assistant directors. Talking with her was compassionate, just absolutely so nice and so kind over the phone that I knew immediately that this was a place I wanted to check out. When we got to the place, we met the other assistant director, Jennifer, and she was equally wonderful. When we went for our tour, she introduced us to Pat, their maintenance man, so we got to meet him right off the bat and go through the room that they had available for Dad. He told us everything, all the details of what maintenance does and the community itself. She introduced us to Sherry, their activities director. She brought a resident to talk with us immediately, welcomed us, and told us about his experiences with his mother there, and why he likes it so much. It was so lovely. The facility itself really met our criteria of being very organized right from the get-go. Very clean, all on one floor. It's like living in a huge ranch home with a memory care unit, but my father is eligible for their personal care unit. We liked the size not too big with fifty-some residents in personal care and twenty-some in memory care, which is a locked unit. Everything is so close for my dad, too. Just beautiful, and all the areas for the residents were so fantastic, like a movie room that didn't have folding chairs; it actually has lovely recliners for the seniors that are all the same, all comfortable, just wonderful. A dining area that's just lovely, and you can see where the residents can hang out in a library, a seating room, in their living room, or play cards together. They also have outdoor seating, which is lovely, and everything is very safe. One floor nowhere to fall, nowhere to get lost, nowhere to end up in an elevator, confused. It's a for-profit facility, month-to-month rental. They have nurses, they can get hospice care there, and some skilled nursing, even though there's not a skilled nursing facility. They provide lots of different rehab, like PT and OT, on-site. They also have every doctor you can imagine on site and coming in, including dermatology, podiatry, regular doctors, and gerontologists. It was just all around a really great place. They really give you a lot of options for dad or mom's care to make sure that they're giving, like, if he needs help dressing, getting out to the dining area, showering, all of that great stuff. We really had a great experience. No other place we went to offered that kind of experience, where they literally, on the first day, introduced us to all of these staff members. It was amazing. The food we did not sample, but they do make it from scratch, so everything is made from scratch. This was truly the one that struck us as the one we were going to choose."

"The Quadrangle was lovely. I was impressed with their ample parking for residents and visitors, which was not true at some of the other places we visited. The person who escorted us around was very knowledgeable. We were quite impressed, but I probably won’t consider it because of the distance. "

"Symphony Square was lovely. The rooms were rather small but very pretty and comfortable. They didn't have enough activities for me though. I did see some amenities there, but I'm not ready for this place. I was with my daughters, and we all thought that it was lovely. Even the food looked good. If I needed a place like that, I would go there; I would not hesitate, but I'm not ready for it."

"Daylesford Crossing seemed new and clean. The rooms were nice. They had an activity room and a library. The dining area was very nice and looked like a restaurant. I did not have a meal, but they showed us the menu, and there was a lot of variety. The staff was very nice."

"I visited Paradise Manor. They were very accommodating and very knowledgeable. The place was clean. It seemed to have everything there that was needed, and it's close to where I live. I believe it's like $1,500 a month. I didn't see many activities. I basically just saw the amenities. It's more of a studio-type environment."

"I toured this facility to see if it would be a good place for a family member. New Seasons has a clean and attractive building. The resident's rooms are laid out nicely, and the dining room is beautiful. I observed that the residents seemed to feel settled and happy there. There were good interactions going on among residents, and the staff knew the residents by name and seemed to be kind and accommodating to them. Our family is seriously considering New Seasons at New Britain for our loved one. "
