"Springfield Senior Living was cute on the inside, it felt homey, and the staff was nice. The person who gave me the tour was great. She was very informative and patient with us and took us around. Their studio apartment was an adequate size, and certainly enough for what you need. We didn't dine there, but we saw the dining area, it looked a little less dining and more like a hospital cafeteria."

"We toured Sunrise of Haverford, and they were fine. They were very polite and very good. It was very clean. The rooms were great, and it's a one-bedroom apartment. They have a lot of stuff going on, which was very pleasant."

"I toured Daylesford Crossing. It's a wonderful place, with wonderful people and very modern-looking rooms. The staff knows every resident by name, so everybody is on a first-name basis. They took me to their physical therapy room and event room. They were doing some events when I got there. They were having a magic show. They didn't have the level of care that my parents needed, but it was one of the top ones that we liked. They had a very small library. They had someone come once a week to do hair and nails. The gym was the physical therapy room, so it was a smaller room. It was more like an apartment building."

"My mother and I went to St. Mary Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare in Lansdale yesterday. We liked it very much, so we're going to enroll there. It was a very nice place. They have a special dementia section and she's going to move into that part, but the whole place was very nice and very clean. They didn't seem to have a lot of staff. It seems like there's a shortage because of COVID. Patients were walking around and they seemed to be engaged, but not active because the people we saw were dementia patients. The indoors are kind of like a circle and the rooms were arranged that way. They couldn't get lost as long as they were in that memory section, which was the Camilla area. They had an outdoor section for them, a very nice dining room, and they had aquariums to look at. There was a book room in the regular section for the residents who had other issues or maybe were just retired. They have a very nice library there. One man had his toy train set up in one of the lounge areas, so that was nice. They let him continue with his hobby and one can bring possessions from home if they're not too large. The rooms were a nice size. They were a little bit bigger than most hospital rooms. Mom will have an armoire, two dresser drawers, and a table for her television. She'll have an in-room telephone, which is extra. The setup is very nice and they were able to get her in right away so that was great, too. They're having a special right now. The $3500 a month is a special rate and that's for any of their units. We walked through the regular part, too. Everything's on one floor, so it is spread out. It's a big campus, but everything is on one floor, which to me is more of a safety thing, especially with old people, of which I am one, because they said a lot of the people there are in their mid-70s. I looked at it as a place for myself in the future and I would go there. I would live there definitely. The staff during the tour was very good. The nurse who spoke with us, Rebecca, I'd give her a 5 also. The paperwork is not overly onerous. They just want to make sure that we understand the limitations of COVID. They don't know what to expect. They don't know what's going to happen next and we have to be willing to accept the risk of what could happen, including food shortages. They even mentioned that in the paperwork and that's honesty because we don't know what's going to happen. They have outdoor spaces even for dementia patients. There's a small area where they can sit outside and it's fenced in with a nice fence. It's not like a prison fence. For the other people, there are plenty of outdoor areas for them to sit."

"The Quadrangle is an assisted living facility that has a lot to offer those looking for a stable place to live with some assistance. There are plenty of residents and neighbors to interact with as well as activities to keep you occupied during the day. There are also opportunities to go on trips to different places in the area. The Quadrangle has many different options of living ranging from apartments to rooms in the main buildings. All buildings are safe and secure and offer assistance 24 hours a day. Active members of the community will find plenty to do, including playing tennis on the courts located directly on the property. There is also a fitness center, pool, and a craft room. The Quadrangle is a great place for any retiree looking for quality living in a great location. They are very accommodating and have plenty of activities to keep residents satisfied. "

"Sunrise of Dresher was very nice. It had a nice greeting room and a large piano that the residents could play. They had a nice enclosed sunroom where you could meet with family members and be outside (but not outside in the cold). So, that was lovely. The rooms were a good size, especially for the studio that we were looking for. Their menu offered quite a bit of variety. They said they would be able to handle pureed food and dicing food should mom need that, and they can handle folks who may need additional assistance beyond just one person's list (that's also a good possibility). They had a lovely outdoor sidewalk, games, and folks that come in from the outside. There's a gentleman that comes in every Wednesday and plays music for the residents. There are special events, too (whatever the monthly theme is)."

"I toured Sunrise of North Wales. They've been very nice. The place is very clean. It's a newer facility around the area, which is nice. It's a little smaller, so the people there care more for everybody there. The rooms were very spacious."

"Traditions of Lansdale was renovated. It was very clean and very neat. You didn't smell any urine. I saw the activity center and they were doing things to help people with that. The living quarters were a little smaller than I would care for, but that's just me. If you're looking for something economical and stuff like that, and especially if you live in the area, it's a nice place. I think the people were being well treated. I think they were really working to give you those little amenities and other things to do such as movies, games, and little patios that you could sit outside. It was good for what was there. The lady I met was very caring, very nice, accommodating, and very thorough."

"I toured Echo Lake. The staff was attentive and willing to talk about my friend's needs and discuss some changes that we recommended. It was a lovely place. It was very open and welcoming. They did provide the chopped diet that she needed. It's a beautiful facility. They have exercise plans and physical therapy."

"Symphony Square was a nice place. Lani was excellent and knew her stuff. The residents were doing baking and crafts projects while I was there. The dining area was beautiful, but I did not taste the food. The place was beautiful and brand new. They would only allow a maximum of 12 residents for the memory care unit which was a very nice thing."

"I visited Paradise Manor. They were very accommodating and very knowledgeable. The place was clean. It seemed to have everything there that was needed, and it's close to where I live. I believe it's like $1,500 a month. I didn't see many activities. I basically just saw the amenities. It's more of a studio-type environment."

"I would give New Seasons a high score. Liz did a fabulous job and I had a great tour. They showed me around, talked to different people, and it was nice. I liked the facility very much although it was a good distance away from where my dad is right now. The rooms were nice and bright, the residents seemed happy, and they had some activities going on. "
