"Rooms are Ok but there are more doubles than singles. They are big enough rooms for 2 though. I think is super. If I was rating the staff I would give them100% - on friendliness, professionalism, knowledge of all aspects of the job, on doing all things you need like taking the time to walk with you when you want for extra therapy, helping you wash or shower which is an issue for all, they are really super!!!!!! Because of my injuries I really didn’t get to enjoy any activities or other amenities they offer."

"My mother lived at the nursing residence for 4 years. Prior to her long term stay she had a short term stay in the rehab facility. My Mom was content. I along with my siblings felt she was safe and well cared for the entire time she lived at Abramson. Whenever we had issues, the staff was very responsive and tried to correct. I always had a good feeling when I entered the facility and when I left after a visit. We researched many places/facilities before we made our decision to place my Mom at Abramson. We made the right decision and felt very fortunate she was accepted and a bed was available for her. They are 100% occupied most of the time. Timing for admission needs to be perfect. Highly recommend "

"The Adult Daycare provided a safe ,fun place for my Mom. There were field trips with a relative or friend who could come along, feedback, parties. I wish she could still attend. She did so much better in that environment rather a nurcing home. "

"My wife is in Inglis House, and it's excellent. Overall, it's pretty good, she's been there a lot of years, and knows a lot of the people, and a lot of the residents are like extended family for us. I spend a lot of time there and a lot of time with the residents there."

"My 82 MIL has some dementia, mobility issues. She gets very bored at home. We started sending her here once a week-she loves it! now she goes two days and it’s the highlight of her week! seeing her friends, having lunch, playing games. She did not want to go at first, now she would go every day! It’s been a real joy to see her find pleasure in her life again. The staff is very caring, so sweet, and fun! Definitely recommend this place for your loved one. "

"Wow - Talk about impressive. I've been to three adult day cares over the past week. FINALLY, I think I've found the right one. I knew it the minute I walked in the door. The staff is amazing. They have a really tough job yet they seemed to really be enjoying themselves while entertaining and caring for their guests. The facility is nice, big and bright -- which is very important. The location is great and they offer transportation which is very helpful. Patty and Bonnie were so welcoming and helpful that I knew this is where my dad should be. Thanks for all your help and support through this really rough process!! "

The mission of Mercy Neighborhood Ministries of Philadelphia, Inc. is to create partnerships and services that respond to the needs of those who are poor in the North Philadelphia community, especially women, children, and persons with special needs. The Sisters of Mercy have worked in partnership with the working poor of the Tioga-Nicetown community for more than 40 years. As a result, they have developed relationships across generations that have been manifested in the work of our ministry. Since its incorporation in 2003, MNM has remained a beacon of progress for children, adults, and the elderly in North Philadelphia. In 2005, MNM purchased an abandoned warehouse that opened in 2009 as the Mercy Family Center - the first green building constructed in North Philadelphia and now one of 42 silver level certified buildings in the City of Philadelphia. Mercy caters to needs of the senior community by offering a safe, caring, and stimulating environment: a comprehensive program that uniquely integrates social interaction, creative activities, personal care, and nursing services. Based on our experience and the evidence of health and medical providers, Adult Day Care is “the least expensive and most desired form of Elder Care,” in that seniors can age in place in their own homes while receiving the necessary services allowing them to live their last years with the dignity they deserve. (NADSA study comparing all Long Term Living options) Who can participate? Any adult age 60 and older can participate in our adult day program. Also eligible for adult day services are those experiencing difficulty with daily activities due to health problems and/or disability. What do we offer? Personal care plan Nursing services Social services Socialization and community Health and wellness activities Computer activities Music and crafts Recreational and cultural enrichment Delicious, healthy meals Necessary assistance to continue living independently in their own homes or with a family member High quality care by caring professionals Services that improve and enhance quality of life Sense of belonging and community Joy and peace of mind Mercy Neighborhood Ministries offers compassionate, loving care. From the moment you arrive, until it’s time to go home, you will receive plenty of attention, respect and a healthy dose of fun! According to the Pennsylvania HealthCare Association, the median annual cost for a private room in a Pennsylvania nursing home is $99,280. Being able to age in place, attend Adult Day Care, and avoid placement in skilled nursing facilities has saved our current participants at least 85 years of nursing facility costs, which would be approximately $8, 840, 880.00 over 5 years. In June, 2014, at the annual Adult Day licensing visit by the Dept. of Aging, Bureau of Quality Assurance, the licensing representative commended the Center for good fire safety training, procedures and nursing assessments, observations and goals which incorporate personal care issues which go above and beyond the expected regulations, helping to ensure the most current information is provided to caregivers about the participants. "The Community at Rockhill is very nice. It's pretty. It's beautiful in the way it overlooks the grounds. They have this big glass window that is filling the floor. It's beautifully lit. What I don't like about the facility is that they're owned by another community. And if you're into activities and stuff, you got to get the bus and go over to this other community. The bus runs between the two. I am sight impaired, I don't like to go out and step on a bus in the middle of winter, or anything to go over there. The Community at Rockhill has a few activities, but not nearly what this other place has since they're owned by them, and that's what I have again. The rooms are not big, but they're nice and well-kept. They would re-do if you wanted to move in, like most of them do. The staff who gave the tour was very nice. It's beautifully cleaned and painted."

"Senior Care Warminster is taking good care of my wife. She gets lunch from them. The amenities appeared to be adequate and varied. They have sing-along, Bingo games, exercises, and lunches. They appeared to be doing a reasonable job, and the staff is professional and very friendly. They appeared to be very accommodating, attempt to please you in whatever manner they can, do a good job in assembling folks who seem to get together even though they don't know each other, and spend pleasant days together. The place is also very clean. "

"I visited this facility, very clean. I am very happy that I picked this center for my Mom. My mother has Alzheimer's and was just sitting home doing nothing. She is now being engaged in activities and being more social. The staff especially Sarah Greenstein have been very kind, considerate and very understanding of my mother's needs. She attends 5 days a week, this was the best thing I could have done for her. I have no worries about her when she is there,I then can take care of other things at home knowing I have no concerns. She looks forward to going everyday, and seeing the friends that she has made. "

"I frequently visit Saint John Neumans nursing home as my great grandmother and her companion are residents. We initially had to place her there after she had a stroke 95, up until then she lived by herself with her male companion who she's been living with for 50 years now. After the nursing home accepted all their paperwork they were in on the non-alzheimers wing. We got into a mild argument with the facility after they would not allow them to share a room because they are not married (Catholic run place). Although we tried everything we could they refused to let them stay in the same room. Overall the facility is very nice, and very clean. They have recently had to move over to the Alzheimer's wing as her companion is showing clear signs of the disease. This wing is not as nice as the other one, but thats understandable as it is more like a hospital then the other side. Overall iv been very pleased with the place even if its not a perfect place. Its still pretty good though. "

"I got in late to Senior Care, so I didn’t see everything. They changed over to a new person, and he was there only 2 weeks. They were very flexible in the schedule, and they provide transportation to the facility. I thought the cost was reasonable. They even offered to go with me and do an assessment for me. "
