My brother has been placed at Inglis Day Program. It's for people who can't help themselves from wheelchairs and things. It's working out great. He loves it there. There are a lot of activities, and they're very helpful with him. He is in the nursing home. He needs 24-hour help. They're very good out there. He likes it, and he is happy. The staff members are very attentive and very nice. Everybody is pleasant. I don't think there are any problems with the staff at all from what I've seen. When I visit, they seem to be very good. There's always somebody in there. They have a lot of activities for the patients, and that's what he likes. I've never seen any problems with cleanliness, either. It seems to be clean. It doesn't have any kind of nasty smell or anything like that. Once in a while, you'll have maybe a urine smell here or there, but the people are disabled, so they have to clean them. I have not tried their food, but my brother said it's good. They also try to have different activities there for them. They have a musical band there. He was a musician, so he liked that. They have games. The grounds are beautiful. They would go out on the grounds. He has his own power chair now, and it's nice. He is on Medicaid, and that's a very big reason because he has a very low income. It was really a process, so we felt very lucky we found that place.

My wife is in Inglis House, and it's excellent. Overall, it's pretty good, she's been there a lot of years, and knows a lot of the people, and a lot of the residents are like extended family for us. I spend a lot of time there and a lot of time with the residents there.

I am a friend of a resident of Inlgis house for several years. this facility is truly amazing in my opinion. the building and grounds are spotless and every staff member I have met over the past years have all seemed to really care about the residents. most of the residents that I have met seem to have as positive an attitude as possible considering the health problems they have to face every day, every time I go to visit there is always some form of activity going on to try to make the lives of the resident a little bit better. my friends life and outlook has improved since moving here and the friends she has made are amazing.

Most of the staff was really kind, to me at least. You could sense that some of the people that worked directly with the patients on a day-to-day basis had a little less patience with some stranger like myself asking questions and walking around. No one was mean, or cruel, but you could definitely tell that the job took a toll on them. Regardless of how stressed out they seemed, I could tell they genuinely cared about the people they were caring for. I can't imagine they'd be doing it otherwise. The whole building was extraordinarily clean. The few people I talked to that actually lived there were extremely positive. They had really great attitudes toward their situations, and seemed to appreciate all of the activities that the staff provided. The painters and musicians particularly impressed me.

The facility is good because it provides activities for the people living there, such as playing cards, using computers, going out on trips like baseball games, going to movies, out to eat etc. One huge problem is the fact that all the CNA workers are in a union and they are extremely difficult to fire if they are not taking care of the people properly. For instance my mother is a resident of Inglis house and one of the workers dropped her and broke her foot. There was a meeting about the incident but nothing happened to the worker, she was only given a write up which I fell is irresponsible on the part of the nursing facility. This could lead to serious issues such as the wrong medications being given or even worse, death. I have been in contact with the administrators there about this issues but nothing seems to be done about this problem. This is a very sad situation for the people currently living there, because sometimes I feel they are frightened to speak out about abuse or other occurances because they no they will still have to deal with the same CNA workers.
