"My dad is at Riverview Estates. It's nonprofit; it's not a big corporation. It's more like a family. It's close to home, so on my way home from work, I can stop, I can see him, and hang out for a half hour and not have to spend half my day traveling to bring him here and bring him back. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The place is an old Victorian that's been kept up, and it's right on the river. They can sit on the porch in the summertime and look at the river and see the sailboats go by. They have trips to ShopRite and Target. They've got more activities than I can count. They get a list of stuff for every day. They have people that come in and they have entertainment."

"My review is excellent. I have lived here since November 2016. The staff has been great. I have visited other facilities and found that Juniper Village was the best environment for myself. The entire staff is great and also the food. Please come here if you are looking for a great home."

"My father-in-law is now in Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line for skilled nursing. The reason we chose this place over others was primarily the nursing-to-resident ratio, along with the fact that they don't subcontract and hire outside. Wesley hires all their own workers, so from nursing, to kitchen, to facilities, to recreation, all of that is hired by Wesley in-house. They don't subcontract out to anybody. They are amazing, the facility itself honestly looks like a five-star hotel. The atmosphere is warm and homey, and every staff member is extremely accommodating, polite, pleasant, and just does anything they can. They've done everything they can to make the transition for him and the family enjoyable and pleasant. I like the fact that they take even though he was on a pureed/ground diet, they take a lot of attention to preparing it so that it's even visually appetizing. So he seems to enjoy it. It's an exceptional facility. He's relatively new to the facility, but once he's dressed for the day, they bring him out into the community room where he can engage with other residents. They have movies, they have a schedule of events like bingo and chair activities. There's a courtyard, but now that the weather's getting nice, we can take him out. When they have events at the facility, for example, this Sunday, they're having an Easter party. All of the residents can go to this, whether it's skilled nursing, assisted living, independent care, or any special events. They had a St. Patrick's Day party and things like that, and there's a director of recreation whose father has been a resident there for ten years. They had already come in and asked us what my father-in-law's likes and dislikes are. They have therapy dogs that they bring into the community. There are a lot of things that they do with them on a daily basis. For what we're paying, they're giving us a lot of value for the money and he's getting excellent care. They have a library there, they have a salon there for the residents to get their haircut, which he did yesterday. So I think there's a lot of value for the dollar. I'm so confident that he's been placed in the right place. "

"My sister moved up to Phoebe Richland Community. It was very welcoming. They gave her all the physical therapy she could handle, which was great. She had physical therapy almost every day and occupational therapy almost every day when she got there. She still gets it quite frequently. The staff is very nice. She enjoys the other residents there. She says she has a wonderful time getting to know them and they're very caring also. I was there one Saturday when the director himself was helping someone move into their memory care area. He was moving the clothing and stuff in himself on a Saturday. They're just delightful. There's an exercise class of some kind every morning, wheelchair volleyball, chair, or tai-chi. There's at least one activity every morning and one or two activities every afternoon. Every day I call or when I talk to my sister, she'll say, "Oh yes, we had an exercise this morning." It's a smaller place, so they can't offer the diversity of activities that a larger facility might offer. The assisted living has a beautiful lounge area when you walk in. The dining room is lovely. You couldn't ask for anything better. I get no complaints from my sister except there's no salt, but she can bring some herself. That's for health reasons. I saw two small library reading areas, a game room, a big lounge, and a dining room. She's in a temporary room right now because there were no rooms available, so it's a little small but very nice and furnished. It has a dresser, a wardrobe, a chair, a bed, a little kitchenette, and a beautiful bathroom that's handicapped accessible. It is less expensive than others for definitely something better. Their staff is especially caring. This place is much more consistent with their staffing, which means the staff gets to know their people better."

"My uncle is a former resident that stayed at St. Mary's for sub acute rehab. The staff was very attentive, compassionate, and made sure we had the best experience possible. He received physical therapy for a surgery he had, recovered, and returned home. All of the services offered were spot on, from social services, dining, therapy, housekeeping, and administration. I couldn't ask for better service for my uncle. I highly recommend St Mary's."

"My father is in Elmwood Hills Healthcare Center. The staff is wonderful. I always see people doing stuff. Every visit I've seen a nurse or I've seen one of the cafeteria workers, or I've seen a social worker or I've seen an aide. So there's no shortage of people on staff, which is great to see, especially in today's day and age when most places are short-staffed, to see that many people. He's not taking advantage of the amenities because he doesn't walk. The dietician has been extremely responsive. They adjusted his food based on his request. So in that regard, they tried to make folks as comfortable and happy as they can. I'm happy with everything so far, but I do feel that it's overcrowded. Currently, they were able to accommodate my father with a temporary room, and we are looking forward to long-term placement."

"My loved one is in Artman. The people there are very compassionate. The food is decent. It has just been redone. It is a very nice facility with physical, occupational and speech therapy. They play bingo with them and find something that he likes to do, then do it. "

"Ambler Extended Care Center is an amazing facility. My first call was taken by Raquel the Marketing and Admissions Director. She patiently answered my questions and reassured me that my husband would be well taken care of by describing the PT, physician visits, meals and daily activities. After arriving, my first thought was “wow this place is clean”! My husband was brought to his room and they worked tirelessly to make sure he was comfortable and had everything he needed. THE ENTIRE STAFF every day from cleaning to maintenance to nutrition to PT to speech therapy to nurses to social worker to the nurses to the activities coordinator all led by the amazing, Raquel made my husband’s 2 week recovery the most comfortable experience we could have asked for. Thank you to everyone who helped my husband in a crucial part of his recovery. Your dedication to patient and family care is top notch."

"Spring House Estates was the least expensive. I think it was one of the older ones, but it was still very nice. The apartments were maybe just a little smaller. I had lunch there, and it was very good. They didn't have a pool, but then they said you can use the pool at the YMCA without any charge (which was nice). They said it's a nice YMCA. I didn't go there, but it's a fairly new one that's nearby. They will take you there in their little shuttle, and they also use that shuttle to take you to doctor's appointments, shopping, or the train station if you want to go down to Philly. The staff was very nice. There were several people that work there who have family members living there, which I thought was impressive. One of the people in my group said one of their parents is living there too. They were happy enough with having their parents living there to consider moving there themselves, which I think says a lot. They had games, movies, a gym, and a lot of activities. It all sounded nice, interesting, and fun."

"I love my studio apartment and its lovely outside patio. When cancer hit me last year I simply moved into a room here where there was excellent, full-time nursing care. They helped me get back and forth from chemo sessions and they took loving care of me when I felt awful at times. Now free of cancer! The staff is simply an extension of the terrific community here. (I often give scathing reviews of things, so these raves are not typical for me!) As editor of the monthly residents’ periodical I’m happily involved with people and events here."

"My visit at Normandy Farms Estates was great. People are very welcoming and very willing to include you, and that was nice. I think the facility itself is very nice. There are several different kinds of apartments that you could get. The food is really good. They do different kinds of things. They have many committees that people are active in. They also have pool exercises and some fitness classes. They have lots of music activities and lectures. "
