My grandmother has moved into Fairview Care Center Bethlehem Pike. Overall, she likes it. She has memory loss, so she's not able to say how it is overall, but when I talked to her on a daily basis, she said that everything was fine and that they treated her well. They try to take her out as often as possible, but she likes to sleep. She also tells me overall that the nurses are nice. Everybody is nice, and the food is good. The staff members that I've met so far are all nice. Everybody seems to care. They have a game room where everybody would come together and play different games. They watch TV. Everyone has their own TV in their room, too. They have a garden. They let the elders go outside, sit in the garden, talk, or whatever, but outside of that, they have board games or card games.

My mom nursing home was closing and need a new home. Fairview’s Administrator Claudette came to the open house and was very professional and organized. She came with giveaways and a video of the facility. When my aunt and I made a surprise visit to see the facility, everyone was so pleasant. From Residents up to administrators. Claudette made my mom transfer a smooth transition. Claudette is always available 24 hours and will call you back if she miss your call. Claudette is a Angel sent from above. She is caring and very sincere. The rest of the staff was very inviting and a pleasure to meet. Thank you Claudette

I am a family member of a resident at Fairview who has been residing at this facility for almost two years. When she was first admitted I was quite pleased with the facility and the care she was given but unfortunately that has dramatically changed. I visit twice weekly and because of this my Aunt was receiving more attention than others patient but even that is changing. On a recent visit my Aunt was soiled to the point that her clothes were soaked as was the chair she was sitting in. When I bought this to the attention of the CNA she was promptly changed and her Depends was in tatters which meant she had not been changed in quite some time and this was at 5 o'clock in the evening. Her 2 roommates who are bed-ridden had also been neglected as had other patients which was evidenced by the profound, unpleasant odor that permeated the whole floor. This has become commonplace. Patients and residents struggle to get to the dining room in their wheelchairs while staff walk by offering no assistance. The staff particularly show disdain for those they have to care for. Unfortunately, the best CNA that was on staff was terminated and myself and other family members have noticed a significant change since her departure and it was not for the better. I am looking at other facilities but don't want to leave behind my Aunt's two roommates who I have become attached to for fear of what may happen because I advocate for them just as I advocate for my Aunt.

I admitted my Aunt at Fairview Care Center on 11/01/2011 and she is still a resident. Her nurses were absolutely a blessing to me and she gets wonderful care. They keep you abreast of every little/big concerns they may have. If you have a special event that your family member can attend, they will provide you with an escort. There is no set time limit to visit your family member. I have gone to visit my Aunt in the very wee hours of the morning. The staff is friendly, caring and I couldn't be happier. Everyone calls my Aunt a social butterfly because she's all over the complaint. She tells me she don't like it there but she knows every nurse or other staff members by their names, if they're married, have children, etc. and I can see they really enjoy my aunt. Fairview is clean, it doesn't smell bad, the staff from maintenance to the Director is on hand and available to speak with you about any concerns that you have. I really like where my Aunt is residing.

I arrived on the weekend of January 2014, on Monday the Welcome Committee met me and gave me a package so I would be familiar with what was going on with the facility, When Terri, found out I loved playing Bingo she made me a Cup and made sure the Activity Person got me each night. The Activity Personnel was young and caring. What impressed me most about this Facility, was if your call light was on any employee would stop to answer it and get the proper help. The Nurses,CNA,Therapist,Cleaners are all caring. I was there because of a Knee Replacement Theraphy was AWESOME, at first I thought they were picking on me, then I realize they were just GREAT. Fairview was clean, food was delicious, excellent Cooks. I would recommend Fairview Highly to Everyone. I WAS THERE THROUGHOUT THE GREAT JANUARY STORM.of 2014

This facility has the means to provide care to a variety of clients. They have both short term rehabilitation services as well as long term residential living services. They have physical therapists, psychiatrists, social workers, and a large nursing staff to support their client base. Their recreational program is highly developed, and the residents report a great deal of satisfaction with their living arrangements. They are part of a larger network of Genesis Healthcare facilities, so they have significant resources for a variety of client needs. The facility is very clean and the staff is professional and accomodating. They have specialized services for everything from stroke recovery to memory challenges. Though their specialty is short term rehabilitation, they certainly excel in residential living also. Their location on the outskirts of the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia makes the facility easily accessible to both residents of the city and suburbs. They also work with Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia for a variety of services.
