"The treatment was excellent. We loved everybody we met. Everything was spectacular. We liked the rooms. We liked the facility. Everything was very clean and modern. It made a very good first impression. There was a very nice movie theater there. There was an outdoor seating area for all the guests and there was a monthly Sunday brunch that is offered, which is a very nice option. "

"My father is at Blue Bell Place. Everything is good there. Everything is beautiful. It looks like it is new and is decorated beautifully. My father has a really nice suite with a kitchenette. He has plenty of space. The care has been good. He has medication management and a certain level of care. He seems well taken care of. They do his laundry. I actually went to a number of other places, but I like this best, and the price was the best. They have a bus, and they go to the grocery store and to Dollar Tree. They also take them out to different restaurants or shows, to wineries, and out to see the holiday lights. They have games, black jack, poker, and different entertainment that come in. Many activities are more for women, so my father only gets involved with so much. "

"The Solana Doylestown was a nice place. We just looked at the assisted living there. We only had interaction with a couple of staff members there, but it was super nice. We visited there twice. My husband and I went once and then we went with his parents. It's a very nice facility. The rooms were very updated and very pretty. The actual common areas were gorgeous. They were super, super warm and cozy and nice and updated. My parents felt the room was too small, but it was very nice. The bedroom had carpet, the living area had a laminated floor and the kitchen area was just like a kitchenette kind of thing. I thought there was a lot of wasted space in the room. It was a one-bedroom that we looked at and they told us they only had four two-bedrooms there and they were all taken. I had told them if one opened up to give us a call because I liked it a lot. The bathroom was nice. The shower was nice and easy to get in and out of, and there's seating in the shower. They had a little salon there and a nice common area up on the second floor with the movie theater room and a popcorn machine. While we were there, they had some musicians singing and playing guitar. We toured on Valentine's Day and they were fixing to have a Valentine's party. They had animals in there, which I find inviting and homey. They had a nice art room that I thought was pretty cool and a nice little library area. The first time that we visited there, they were having a little afternoon wine and beer party, and people seemed to be enjoying it. At the front entrance, there was a nice little bar area. I liked the dining area there, too. When you walk in, you can see right through the dining area and there was a nice outdoor space. It was a smaller facility, so they were aware of their various residents and their needs, and they seemed to be very thoughtful about that. That was something I like there. The staff who gave us the tour twice was awesome. She's lovely, really explained things, answered all my in-laws' questions and they're memory-impaired a bit and they kept asking the same ones and she was so patient and very, very nice. It was a very nice facility, very clean and very well kept."

"I’ve been in the Heritage Towers for six years now. The cleanliness is average. The maintenance is very good. The working people are pretty young, but they give good service. They have a studio, one bedroom, and two bedroom apartments. They have a full size bathroom and a kitchen. The room is pretty big and spacious. The food used to be better. We have a menu and you can pick from 5 or 6 different dishes. The dining facility is like a big restaurant that can sit from 2 to 6 people in a table. They have dance classes and exercises. "

"We chose Columbia Cottage Collegeville for mom because it's a small community, and the caregiver to resident ratio is favorable. They offer a variety of activities and services, and the location was also beneficial. They had 10 levels of care from independent living all the way through to skilled nursing. It is great because she can age in place, and the staff has been amazing. They have three different sized rooms. My mom is in a 312 square foot room (which doesn't sound like much), but it is perfect for a single person. There's a full bathroom with a walk-In shower and pull cords by the bed and in the bathroom for assistance. There are three different sized rooms. They're generally on a wait list, but we happen to call them at a good time. They have one available. It's really like a big home. They have a living room, a TV area, dining room, and kitchen (which is all open for the residents to use as they like). They also have a hair salon onsite, as well as a physical therapy area. They have therapists that come in several times a week and a hairdresser that's there two days a week. They also have a nurse on-staff 24 hours a day, and they're great. If there's any medical assistance needed, they're there. They have various activities like arts and crafts, games, bingo, and movie night. They also have a vehicle, so they can do scheduled transportation to doctor's appointments. There are two courtyards inside the building, so residents can go outside and enjoy them without the risk of anybody wandering off. She likes the food so far."

"During any visits I had to this facility it was apparent that the staff respects their residents and sees them in the human light rather than as a number. I have seen their care team go up and beyond the call of duty to see that needs were met.Also impressive was the activity and marketing team, who, on a day I visited and there was a closed door situation going on due to a virus outbreak......they were making individual stops to the residents to see what they could do to fill their day since out of room activities were not available. They scrambled to take care of those who were sick, and yet reach out to those affected only by being somewhat sequestered. This group works as a family unit and it seems to not matter what the titles are...they work together to bring a feeling of care to their residents. "

"Pinnacle at Plymouth was brand-new, and it was beautiful. It was like being at a hotel in Atlantic City. It was very busy. It's a place for socially active people. They had a cooking class going on while we were there. They had a separate movie theater. They had a couple of restaurants, and their dining room was beautiful. They had the most beautiful dining room we saw. They also had pubs, where you could go out for cocktails without ever leaving the building. It had everything a socially active person could want. It was a busy place, so it was not for my sister. It would not have been for me either because they were right on the road and the highway, which really shouldn't make any difference. You have those cars zipping by all the time. They had a garden area. It's an outside area on the roof or like a rooftop area where people could do their own gardening if they wanted to. I will say that it was beautiful, and it was perfect for somebody (but it wasn't for us). The staff was good. She was very pleasant, but she seemed like she was in a hurry."

"My sister moved up to Phoebe Richland Community. It was very welcoming. They gave her all the physical therapy she could handle, which was great. She had physical therapy almost every day and occupational therapy almost every day when she got there. She still gets it quite frequently. The staff is very nice. She enjoys the other residents there. She says she has a wonderful time getting to know them and they're very caring also. I was there one Saturday when the director himself was helping someone move into their memory care area. He was moving the clothing and stuff in himself on a Saturday. They're just delightful. There's an exercise class of some kind every morning, wheelchair volleyball, chair, or tai-chi. There's at least one activity every morning and one or two activities every afternoon. Every day I call or when I talk to my sister, she'll say, "Oh yes, we had an exercise this morning." It's a smaller place, so they can't offer the diversity of activities that a larger facility might offer. The assisted living has a beautiful lounge area when you walk in. The dining room is lovely. You couldn't ask for anything better. I get no complaints from my sister except there's no salt, but she can bring some herself. That's for health reasons. I saw two small library reading areas, a game room, a big lounge, and a dining room. She's in a temporary room right now because there were no rooms available, so it's a little small but very nice and furnished. It has a dresser, a wardrobe, a chair, a bed, a little kitchenette, and a beautiful bathroom that's handicapped accessible. It is less expensive than others for definitely something better. Their staff is especially caring. This place is much more consistent with their staffing, which means the staff gets to know their people better."

"I toured Penn Assisted Care. My mom has Parkinson's and they're fully equipped to handle that. It's very clean. It's very basic and very outdated, but suitable for their needs. The staff was very friendly, very personable, and very knowledgeable. They seemed well trained. It seems like they have a decent number of options for activities and visitors. They also have basic TV, games outside, and things in the area."

"My dad moved to Springfield Senior Living. We chose this place because it is close to my home and it was affordable. He has one room with one bathroom. It is pretty big. It's a pretty nice space and it has a balcony. Cleanliness for the most part seems OK. It could always have room for improvement, especially the floor that my dad is on, the second floor. There is a strong urine smell there. They could also improve their communication with the doctor. I've been trying to get some information because my dad has surgery coming up and they haven't given me back the paperwork yet. I'm not even sure he's going to be able to get it because I switched his doctor to their in-house doctor, but since he's just been there about two weeks, it's been kind of difficult to communicate with them. So, his surgery may have to be postponed because they needed their paperwork two weeks before and I still haven't gotten it."

"Wynwood of Northampton Manor is an old place, but it had a very good feeling from the residents. They seemed genuinely happy there. The staff was very, very helpful. "

"My sister is at McCallum LLC. It is near our home. The room is fine. My sister likes it too. She has her own bathroom. So far, since she has been there, she has been in the room by herself, but there is a room for one other person. I absolutely recommend this facility. It is a nice community. It is quiet. My sister likes it. "

"Manatawny Manor is nice. However, my mom is very adamant about going into any kind of place. The rooms are nice and the place is clean. They did some renovations. The staff seems very helpful and very knowledgeable. There is nothing bad I can say about it."
