The Best Communities in Lehigh County, PA

"I toured Riverton Enhanced Senior Livington. The staff was nice, and I liked the way they showed me around. The place and dining area were nice, but if you go to work out at the gym there, the gym is too small."

"Bethlehem Manor seemed very nice and well-staffed. I tried the food, and it seemed to be pretty nice. The rooms were spacious, and the community was very livable. I believe physical therapy was offered. The residents seemed to enjoy all the activities that they were doing and they seemed to look forward to doing them."

"We visited The Willow. It was very nice, but my father-in-law wanted to stay near his doctor. They were very nice and very friendly. The room was a one bedroom and it was very nice. They showed us everything. I remember the dining room and they had a library; it was very nice. They had a like a little garden that some of the residences could walk on, which was sweet. The outdoors had a very nice landscape."

"Renaissance Home Northampton was a nice place. When I got there, the staff was helping out the residents. They were having a game day or something like that. Everybody was out having a good time. You have to wear a mask though and I'm not into that. The staff was very helpful to me. They have a TV room, a game room, and an outdoor patio with gardens where they could plant flowers or vegetables."

"Atria Bethlehem is fantastic. I would live there myself. When we drove up, I noticed that the residents were milling around outside in their little walkers and visiting with each other. The place was immaculate. We got to see them during their lunch hour and saw their interaction with all the caregivers. The place was positively beautiful. The woman that gave us our interview was wonderful. I can't say anything bad about the place. I wish my husband would have been up to being able to have that sort of surroundings, but unfortunately, he needs to have skilled nursing. They were excellent. I saw the people in the lunchroom, and everything looked good. They were enjoying each other, the food and the help, so I was very impressed with that place. I was more impressed than I thought I could be. They had everything you could possibly need there. The staff was lovely enough to give you a nice binder with all the information in, and they were totally outgoing and very nice."

"The Birches of Lehigh Valley is the absolute BEST! I’ve been exposed to multiple assisted living facilities in the area and NONE compare to this amazing place. My dad has never been happier. The care is incredible. The staff care about their residents and take pride in their service work. It’s clean and smells wonderful inside. Truly the best in the area and I couldn’t be happier that my dad can call The Birches his home."

"The entire process of transition was really smooth, they prepared a beautiful custom furnished room and even requested family photos to hang prior to admission. The staff were very attentive and welcoming and helped ease my father in to his new home. The prices are very reasonable but the services are above and beyond what i expected. From all the facilities i toured the one thing that stood out to me was the owner of the home, he was caring and helpful and really put my mind at ease before taking this big step. So thank you Asher and the whole team at Cornerstone think of this review as a small expression of gratitude!! "

"My sister moved up to Phoebe Richland Community. It was very welcoming. They gave her all the physical therapy she could handle, which was great. She had physical therapy almost every day and occupational therapy almost every day when she got there. She still gets it quite frequently. The staff is very nice. She enjoys the other residents there. She says she has a wonderful time getting to know them and they're very caring also. I was there one Saturday when the director himself was helping someone move into their memory care area. He was moving the clothing and stuff in himself on a Saturday. They're just delightful. There's an exercise class of some kind every morning, wheelchair volleyball, chair, or tai-chi. There's at least one activity every morning and one or two activities every afternoon. Every day I call or when I talk to my sister, she'll say, "Oh yes, we had an exercise this morning." It's a smaller place, so they can't offer the diversity of activities that a larger facility might offer. The assisted living has a beautiful lounge area when you walk in. The dining room is lovely. You couldn't ask for anything better. I get no complaints from my sister except there's no salt, but she can bring some herself. That's for health reasons. I saw two small library reading areas, a game room, a big lounge, and a dining room. She's in a temporary room right now because there were no rooms available, so it's a little small but very nice and furnished. It has a dresser, a wardrobe, a chair, a bed, a little kitchenette, and a beautiful bathroom that's handicapped accessible. It is less expensive than others for definitely something better. Their staff is especially caring. This place is much more consistent with their staffing, which means the staff gets to know their people better."

"I toured Penn Assisted Care. My mom has Parkinson's and they're fully equipped to handle that. It's very clean. It's very basic and very outdated, but suitable for their needs. The staff was very friendly, very personable, and very knowledgeable. They seemed well trained. It seems like they have a decent number of options for activities and visitors. They also have basic TV, games outside, and things in the area."

"We were at The Palmerton about two weeks ago. It was a very nice facility. We just didn't feel it was quite what we were looking for. It was very well laid out, seemed very clean, and orderly. Some of the residents were doing some puzzles, but no other physical activities were going on because it was pretty cold, so there wasn't much happening. The rooms were very nicely appointed. I guess there was a large and a small room. Some double rooms or rooms would have been shared. It seemed to me like they were set up very nicely. The staff members were very amenable, very informative, and very helpful."

"I toured Renaissance Home Forks. It was very good. We were more than satisfied. Steve, who gave us the tour, did a great job and answered our questions. The apartment was more than reasonable. It had a nice space. They showed us a lounge room and the dining hall. They showed us several different rooms. We got to speak with the manager a little bit, and the chaplain."

"My step-mother been living this place and it was last ALMOST 7 years. My wife and I want to appreciate to all the staffs who loves and care for Mildred Sitko. It is sad to see her life end there. We both sure she will missed all of you. Thank you for your wonderful service."

"I am very happy that my parents are at Keystone Villa Fleetwiod. The care by the staff is excellent and they truly care about the residents. Personally it lifts a burden off of the family to know they are taking medicines properly and if help is needed it is only a call button away. The staff also help by making suggestions to my parents how to makd everyday tasks easier. Our parents love us and we love them but sometimes tou need a mediator - this is when they slso step in. Three meals a day and someone noting if they are not going to meals. Communication from care givers is calming snd reassuring! They are all like extended family! "

"My mother is currently at Maidencreek Place. She has been there for a month now. She enjoys it. They're very attentive. It's very clean. It's accessible to me very easily. It's just the right place at the right time for my mother. She has a studio sort of apartment. I believe they're just about the same for everyone. There's a refrigerator and it's a spacious apartment."
