The Best Assisted Living Communities in Warren County, NJ

"I spoke to a very nice woman at Sunrise of Randolph. The place was beautiful, but my friend is looking for a temporary short-term stay over the winter and most places don't offer that. He's looking to stay in December, January, February, and March, and Sunrise here in Randolph doesn't do that. When I went there, they gave me a background on what they do and the cost model that they're in. I looked in general at the facility and the conversation I had and the people I met were just wonderful, very helpful, very caring, and understood the situation that I explained to him about my friend and his needs. They recommended other places for me to call to see if they did what he was looking for. The place was very pleasant and very clean. In general, the people were just very nice and helpful and good to talk to. It's been an education for me. The facility was excellent. I did see people going back from lunch and they looked very happy. It was a very good experience. The building was very nice."

"Sunrise of Bridgewater was a very beautiful place. It was very nice and very professionally run. The staff who gave the tour was very good. The apartments were very nice. They have different-sized studios. They were large enough that we would consider a studio. The only thing that we did not like about the rooms was that their showers did not have built-in bench seats, which surprised me. I would think assisted living would have a bench seat, but these were just stand-up showers, so you have to provide your own stool. Outside, the landscaping on the grounds was beautiful. My mom enjoys being outside a lot, so she has a lot to look at on the grounds there. The staff that we spoke to seemed very nice."

"I will move into Atria Bethlehem. I love the room, and the place is very clean. I love the ground, a lot of trees and foliage, and flowers. I'm an outdoor nut, so I like that. There were outdoor spaces to sit and have your coffee, and I could have my puppy. They have a salon to get your hair and nails done. I love the dining room, and it's beautiful, and if I could eat like that every day, I'd love it. Everybody was so friendly and nice. I met some of the residents, who seemed very happy. I told my daughters that I'm going to go where I'm going to be happy. So, all the places I looked at, that was the nicest and most affordable. The staff who gave the tour was excellent, and she explained everything to me."

"It was very nice. It was very clean. They just remodeled it. The person that showed me around was awesome. I like that facility. Barbara was our host. She was awesome, very knowledgeable, and very in tune with the patients or members of the community. There were a lot of activities for the members. They have a backup generator, which I thought was unique and different."

"My father has moved into Bethlehem Manor. It's a pretty great place. The staff is very nice. Everybody is coordinated well, so we have no issues. If I have any issues, they usually resolve it immediately. My father is not too good with the cellphone so they Facetime me there pretty much with their Bethlehem Manor's phone, so I'm able to see my father if I'm not able to make it, which is great. It's a really good place. My father has a little studio. He has his bed set up. He has a TV wall-mounted. He has a mini-fridge. He has a wheelchair, so he can pretty much roam around there. He has windows, so he can look outside as well. So it's pretty open, and it's not like he's cramped or anything, which is great. For amenities, they have a large dining room area and an outdoor area, which is more of a patio. They have game nights and music. They have a lot of different types of activities. So my father is kept very busy."

"I toured Riverton Enhanced Senior Living. It has an open design so that you don't feel like you're in a narrow hall all the time, and it seems to be well supplied with furnishings, so nice atmosphere. The staff was a good communicator, answered all my questions, and seemed to be easy to work with."

"I'm gonna go to Laurel Circle in Bridgewater. That's been my favorite so far. I just like the feel. I love the room. It had multiple eating areas and a fabulous library. It's wonderful. I've seen so many places, and Laurel Circle, just for me, was top. I fell in love with it from the minute I walked in. The least I liked was the location because I have a family in Basking Ridge, and they wanted me to be in Basking Ridge. I liked the feeling, the amenities, the food, and the different areas here that you could eat at. The staff was fabulous and friendly. It's very clean, and if you have to go to memory care, everything is right there. It was lovely. The studio apartment was large. It surprised me how big it was. It had a balcony, a walk-in closet, a lovely full kitchen, and a great bathroom."

"Renaissance Home Northampton was a good place. It's more for a single person than a married couple. It's rather small for married people. The service was excellent. Most of the amenities are there. The staff members were very helpful. They were very good. The facility was very clean. The layout was nice. I like the fact that it was very close to where we are now, so some of my family could come and visit. They had a very nice lunch. They are getting nutritious food. There was no sign of it being a nursing home at all. There was no smell."

"We toured Sunrise of Basking Ridge. It's a possibility. It was very nice. They gave me a lot of information. I saw a one-bedroom; it was very big and good. The place looked nice. It was clean, and it was kept well. The dining area was clean, neat, and very nice. They have a library, a salon, and an activity room. However, there is no pool or gym."

"I like everything about Whitehall Manor. It's clean, and there's always someone around to help the residents if they want to have something special done. The caretakers are clean, and most of them have masks on them. My friend's room is always clean, and he likes the food. They have a very wide spectrum of entertainment and things to do. They have bingo, services, singing, crafts, and other entertainment. The meals always had a nice presentation. The lighting is good. The hallways are always clear. There isn't anything that needs to be upgraded on my side of things."

"I went to Brookdale Hillsborough. There was tranquility there. It was nice. The care was nice. From what I saw, the place was clean. The room was clean and sufficient as well. The staff was very kind and very knowledgeable. The dining area was clean. It was an empty space with tables and some chairs and things like that."

"My father moved into American Assisted Living at Hillsborough. It's a very nice place. The care is very good, it's very clean, very serene, and it's giving him a good quality of life. That's what I wanted for him. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. I'm very pleased with the facility, and it's very close to home, which means a lot to me. It's just a simple room. We had to buy the furniture to furnish the room. It's basic. It has a nice sized closet in it that you could store some stuff, other than that it has a window with a nice view. It's not much other than a bed, a dresser, a nightstand, and a chair. You can sit in there, but it's got a kitchenette area where it has a refrigerator, a sink, and a nice-sized bathroom. It's what he needs, which is fine. When we do come and visit we take him out, but he does physical therapy and occupational therapy, which is memory care. They do have a movie night, crafts, and a library, and they have all different kinds of activities and events. They invited us to a barbecue they had last weekend where they had a dunking machine where the seniors could come out. It's hard for some of them to come and participate, but we got him out there, and they had the big balloon display of the All American, which was nice because you can take pictures and they do videos. They even have a Facebook page where they can post videos and pictures of the residents there with their families if they give consent. They really make it nice for the families, and they give a lot for the families to participate, as well with events and stuff like that."

"Mira Vie at Warren was beautiful. I loved it. The people were very nice. The community was beautiful. My drawback was the demographics, because even though I'm 70, I think the people are older. I loved that they had underground parking. That was important to me, especially in New Jersey. I know I could feel comfortable there. The staff was wonderful. Everyone that I came in contact with, and also the residents, were very friendly and very welcoming. I had coffee and pastries and they were good. The common areas were gorgeous. The room was wonderful. It just didn't have enough closet space for me."

"I toured The Delaney at Bridgewater. The people were very good and very helpful. It's a new place, and it was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable. I toured a unit, and it was big. It was a regular apartment. It looked brand new; it looked excellent. They have a gym and a salon. The gym wasn't big, but it had a lot of equipment."
