"We are doing seven days a week with Amada Senior Care Roxbury, NJ. The owner was here this morning to check everything out. They also came out to the hospital to meet us before we made a decision. They've been efficient all the way through. I have two caregivers, one person on the weekend and one person during the week, and they're both excellent. They're very caring. They pitch in where they're needed, and I don't even have to ask, so it has been a very good experience. When someone is very, very ill, you need that kind of support. Because my spouse is incontinent, they make sure he is clean. They shave him, and they make sure his hair is cut. They make sure he is comfortable with the bed settings, and they make sure his skin is good. He has a very severe foot problem, so they make sure the pillows are right. They provide general care for him all around."

They don't oblige me of certain schedule and hours. They are not strict like I should have Mondays to Fridays or whatever. If I would need them and call them they would send somebody out right away. "Our family quickly got word that Mom had to go into Hospice Care. She was in congestive heart failure. Her wishes were to not go into a nursing home. I got a recommendation for Right at Home. Called them one day, the manager showed up in the hospital the next day to review my Mom's needs. They instantly started us on a home care program for Mom. We initially did 24/7, then backed down to 4 hour blocks of care as needed. Right at Home is flexible. The care takers are wonderful. They are all different personalities, but they are on time and they will care for your loved one. If the patient needs meds, it is best that they are still alert enough to know what they are taking. Right at Home can hand you the meds,, but not actually give them to you. If you go with just one full time care taker, yes you might get a better deal per hour. But, we could not afford to have Mom with no one there. If the scheduled care taker could not make it, Right at Home Schedulers immediately get a substitute. The management was caring, always there for me to call. They even have a hot line for after hours and someone will call you back. They were a God send for my Mom and our family. They watched Mom, did her wash, dishes, light clean up. Made the bedding and washed that. Cleaned her up and took her to and from the bathroom, as she needed assistance with that. They also gave her meals that we had pre-made and were in our refrigerator. I hope they work out for you as well. We were very blessed to have had them and they were new to our area, so that was equally another blessing. I could actually visit the office and speak to people if I needed to.
