People smile in this nursing home, the residents, their relatives, the staff and the nursing director. It's because they honestly care about their residents and do the best they can for them and the residents feel that. I'm grateful for each and every employee who has gone over and above to help my relative and I have seen many of them do it. "

"Moravian Hall was very impressive, but it was beyond our price range. The staff was very accommodating and cooperative. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and clean. It’s a full care community. We were invited for a meal and very good food. The dining room was nicely setup and casual. They have a lot of activities going on, and the care they gave to the people really impressed me. "

"The one thing I liked about Gracedale is that it was extremely clean. There wasn't a dirty spot anywhere. It was so clean you could probably eat off the floors, that's how clean it was. The workers there and the staff, everybody was so nice. It just so happens one of my mother's neighbors, her mother was in Gracedale, and she had nothing but positive things to say about it. They took very, very good care of her mom. I'm just looking forward to being able to place her and then I'll take it from there. I'll check on it. Every time I go up, I'll make sure that she's getting her medicine on time and that she's kept clean and comfortable. There was just one thing that I didn't like, but it would not deter me from placing her there. Because of her income limitations, she would have to be placed in a four-bedroom unit, which is not a bad thing, but the only thing that separates everybody is just a curtain. It's almost like you're in a hospital, and everybody has their own TV. Because my mother is blind, her only form of entertainment are her audio books, and I was afraid that if she woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep and she put her audio book on, it would disturb everybody else in the room. That was the only negative thing, but that wouldn't deter me from not placing her there. The gentleman in the office said that they have quite a few patients who are very hard of hearing, so if anything, he could place her in a room with them so she could put her audiobooks on, and it wouldn't disturb them. The staff members were very kind and very pleasant. Any questions that I had they were prepared to answer. They didn't hold back, or they didn't seem like they were trying to sugarcoat anything. They were very upfront about everything, so I was appreciative of that. The facility is very nice. The grounds are kept beautiful. The building is brand new. They had the original building and then they just built a tower building, and that is where my mom would go, in the tower building, and it's brand new, so it's very nice. They have a beauty parlor, they have a library, and they have lots of places, rooms and tables where you could take your loved one for a private visit so that you're not disturbing anybody else. So that was very good."

"My husband just recently went over to Warren Haven Nursing Home, so I don’t know too many people yet, though the people are very nice. The place is very clean. I don’t see any activities there, but they have an activity board; I don’t know where the activity area is, though. My husband complains about the food being like hospital food because it is very bland. The only thing I was upset about was I was not informed by the doctor that my husband’s meds had been upped. "

"Brakeley Park Center was very clean, it seemed to be well-managed, and the staff was exceptionally kind and attentive. Most of the rooms were semi-private, and the private rooms shared a bathroom with a private room next to it. They use the same staff members as the skilled nursing and rehab center in a separate building, so I think the delivery of service and activities are geared more toward a nursing home than assisted living."

"I went to ManorCare Health Services-Easton for rehabilitation. I was there for three weeks, and I liked it. Their rehab was better because they found solutions for me that allowed me to go back home. There were a couple things I didn't like about it, but I preferred it compared to the others. The food was better, and they found solutions that worked for me. They provided exercises and the basic care. I couldn't stand up by myself and I couldn't get to the bathroom initially, but by the end I was able to use the bathroom because I had seat assistance. They got me out of there in three weeks and I was able to come home. They did their job."

"My father will be moving into The Gardens at Easton. I like that they get their own room, but they have 24-hour staff, which is what my father needs for his care. All of the staff that I met were really nice and friendly. They seemed to be treating all the other residents nicely. The rest of the residents there seemed relaxed and comfortable, and that's the kind of environment that I wanted to put my father in. I liked that the staff cares about the patients, so it's not just a job for them. The one thing that I don't like is that I couldn't find anything like that closest to me. It's an hour away from where I am, so it's an hour drive there and an hour drive back for when I want to go visit him. The rooms have a sleeping area, a bathroom, and a couch in the room. They have a group area where they eat."

"My husband has been in Country Meadows Nursing Center of Bethlehem for skilled nursing. The food is fine. The only thing was it was difficult to pick out the selections. They had established rotation on the food so that if there was something on the menu that he didn't care for, I had difficulty getting that substituted. They didn't necessarily cater to his tastes. Everybody's got something they're not going to eat. On one occasion, they served in something, and I happened to be there. It was at lunch, and I asked them to substitute another dish and they were more than happy to do that, and did it fairly quickly. It's very warm and homey, and still accommodating to the patient's necessities. Most of the rooms are doubles, and he had a private bath with a shower in the double room. He didn't have to use a communal shower situation, which some of the places do. There was a shower that was just shared between him and his roommate. And as far as the staff is concerned, they were fine. They were wonderful. The nursing staff itself is very professional. He was assigned an aide by the day. It was very often the same person, so they got to know each other a little bit, and there was consistency with that. And that was the same thing with the actual nursing staff. There was consistency there. So it wasn't like every time we had to address something there was a stranger, which I have found you tend to get with some of the other facilities because their staffing changes so frequently. And we didn't have that there at all. One of the pluses, they allowed pets. You couldn't keep one there, but a family member could bring the pet in to visit and they allowed them in. It wasn't just like out in the courtyard or something like that. They would bring it into the room. They have activities scheduled for those who want to participate. I saw bingo. I saw them watching a movie. The one thing I didn't find in Country Meadows, as a visitor, I didn't see any type of musical activity. It tends to be a little expensive."

But I cannot say enough about Nurse CeCelia and aide Emily there are not enough words I can express towards them both❤️ They both go beyond their jobs to accommodate my mom. They both need a big Thank you. So far I’m satisfied with the facility considering the circumstances of COVID /"

"I visited Kirkland Village. It was beautiful, but I felt that their rooms were really small and claustrophobic. There were windows only on one side. The hallways felt like a hospital. The staff was wonderful. They have all kinds of activities. The residents were very happy there, but it just wasn't for me. "

"Please, please think twice before putting a loved one in this facility. I had a friend that was losing her battle with cancer and unfortunately she spent the last days of her life in this hell hole. The staff here are absolutely horrific! They could not care less about human life. What my friend had to endure in her last days I will never forget because of these people. They would leave her sitting in her own feces and urine for hours without changing her. She had bed sores so bad that they were infected because they were too lazy to rotate her. When I visited her two days before she died she was crying out in so much pain because they had not given her pain medication. She was suffering!  She had not eaten since morning and she was soaking wet with urine and feces in her adult diaper. I was disgusted and crying from that shere shock of how these people had treated my friend. I immediately went to the nurses station and there was a doctor sitting there reading a patient's chart, I was crying and I told him what was going on and he couldn't even care less. A Charge Nurse came over and I again explained the situation.  She said that she would send someone in there right away. I sat and waited with my friend in her room for 20 minutes and no one showed up. I put on a pair of sterilized gloves and then proceeded to clean her myself. Tears falling from my eyes looking at the bed sores as my friend was wailing in pain. This place needs to be closed down! Shame on you! I will spread the word to everyone that I know to never go to this facility even if their life depended on it. I am now left reminded of my friends last days on this earth of the pain that she suffered not only from the cancer but from the hands of these so-called "Caregivers"  as one of the most god-awful experiences I have ever witnessed in my life."
