"My father is a resident. The rooms are clean. The staff is AMAZING! They are attentive to my father's needs. They actually care about the residents which puts my mind at ease. "My mom is staying in Marywood Heights for long-term care. She's in a room with a roommate. The staff is very attentive and nice. There are people cleaning every day, and two gentlemen run the activities. They do movie dates, bingo, and karaoke. They always keep the residents busy."

"My mother moved into Forest City Personal Care. It seemed to be a very good fit because it's a small facility, and the people seemed very friendly. It was all on one floor, and she just really likes it there. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the dining room, and she likes the food. They have TV/movie times that she has gone to. They have music with people who come in with live music. They do arts and crafts things, and they also do bingo and other games similar to that."

"My mother has moved into Green Ridge Health Care Center. We were particularly interested in this facility because it's so near my home and we have known several people who have been residents there and they were always very happy there. The staff is good. They are very accommodating as far as her needs, which change from day to day. I don't have any negative to say about them. We go there daily and we are very pleased with it. She is in a semi-private room. She's on the window side, so that's nice. They do include, as part of the fees, the laundry service. I don't have anything negative to say. They have a regular monthly schedule with things like bingo and movies and so forth. We were pleased with the rehab setup. She goes to rehab and she goes to the dining hall. They have a chapel there. They have a very nice outside area at this time of the year. They're very helpful. We go over there every day and they update us on how she's doing. They have called a couple of times just with minor things when they change medications or anything, so the communication is very good. The food seemed fine to me. If it's something that she doesn't like, she can get the standard things like grilled cheese and hamburgers and so forth. If you don't like the menu, you can go to the options. The food that I tasted seemed fine. It's not a gourmet restaurant, but it seemed well-balanced. Everything is wonderful. It's fairly new. The one thing that we like is that there are a lot of lounges when we go for a visit. One lounge has a lot of puzzles and things like that, and they're nicely furnished. We can have a nice private visit whenever we go. The facilities are very nice. The security is good, as far as entering and leaving from one section to another and getting in the building and so forth. Value for money is very good."

"My mother is staying at Forest City Nursing & Rehab Center. There isn't anything that I don't like. What I love about it is that when you walk in it smells clean. All the residents are really taken care of. They have tons of activities for them. Even residents that don't have family members to come to visit them on a regular basis, the staff, more or less, adopt them, and they become their family. They decorate their rooms for them. They always have parties and activities. The staff is wonderful. My mother has been there a while and she's never had a bedsore. They take excellent care of her. They have a variety of food. My mother is a very picky person, so she automatically gets a substitute so that she eats. They have ice cream available all the time. They have everything that you would find in a restaurant, either for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The dietitian is wonderful there. They set up carnivals for them. They have barbecues for them. They have concerts, and people come in and play music. They have animals come in for therapy, like therapy dogs and cats. They have bingo games and crafts all the time. Whatever the holiday is, they're doing something. They have church services for them. They're very good at managing any kind of outbreak."

"Jewish Home of Eastern PA was a very beautiful place. There was no odor. The walls had colors. It's homey and had wooden floors. I only saw the dementia unit. The administrator who showed me around was very kind and answered all my questions. They just didn't have any availability. The staff was extremely friendly. Meals were included. They had an activities room and there were some people coloring. It seemed very pleasant."

"My dad was a resident of this nursing home. I was very impressed with the staff, nurses, volunteers and over all looks of this place. I was always treated with respect as were those who lived there. It was very clean and did not smell like some of the homes out there. My dad was a resident until his passing. If I need to go into a nursing home this would be the one I would go to. "

"My mother was a resident of Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center for rehab. The staff members were very attentive, helpful, and nice. The facility itself was nice and outstanding. They have a state-of-the-art rehab facility. They have physical and occupational therapies. They come around and like do your hair or your nails or something like that if you're interested. She didn't take part in any of the activities. The food was decent. I don't know about the money because it was covered by insurance, so I have no idea what they paid, but the care was very good."

"Abington Manor is very good. They took me in when nobody else had a room and the care, the nurses, and the aides were good. I'm not a bingo person or anything like that, but they have all types of programs to keep you busy or interested and you're not just laying in your bed the whole day unless you have to. It's in a beautiful country. You look out our windows and it's just trees that are starting to turn. The food is getting better. What we had today for breakfast was good. I have a particular taste so sometimes it is good, sometimes it isn't, but mostly it is. It's a good place to be and they are very friendly. I haven't used the activities yet, but everybody I talked to says that they have a great time at the activities."

"My mother-in-law will be moving into Wesley Village. I've been there a couple of times with her and they're wonderful. It's clean, and the nurses are exceptionally polite and they're very attentive. The rooms were good and plenty big enough. I know they have birthday parties and they play different things. The dining area is very nice. I know everybody that's been there likes it. They have quite a selection of food. Everybody is very helpful. Right now, I went into rehab but they are moving her over to the nursing care."
