"My brother-in-law stayed at Timber Ridge Health Care. They were good, and they kept me informed with everything going on with him. He was there just for rehab because he got sick and got an infection with his gallbladder. He was in the hospital quite a bit and we felt that he had to go on rehab before he gets home. It was Covid, but I was able to go in at that time, and it was a no-contact visit by his window. Because of Covid, they won't let anybody in, and we weren't allowed to do anything."

"My experience with the Davis Manor assisted living was pleasant for the most part. The staff seemed to be friendly and caring of the patients. My Uncle stayed there for a total of four months. He suffered from Gangrene, and had his leg removed. I would have to say his nurse was quite tolerant of him. He was often irritable and did give the staff a hard time. He would give the nurse attitude, and she would give it right back to him, which I thought was kind of endearing. Over the entire place seemed well kept and organized. Never had issues with visiting and they adhered to their visiting hours. As far as I could tell the meals seemed sufficient enough. The only real complaint I have is that there was only one television in the whole facility. Other than that Davis Manor served as a wonderful assisted living Facility. "

"If at all possible stay away from this place. Care is horrible, staff ignorant and conditions are unreal. My loved one was not able to move. They would put water where it was unreachable, meds not given on time, call bell out of reach, food terrible and put out of reach before taken away fell out of bed four times and was hurt, Just to mention a FEW of the many things a complained about. Finally she was admitted to the hospital then to hospice where she passed in peace."

"I think this is a great facility! The staff all seem to really care about the residents and go out of their way to make them more comfortable. Also, the community is very involved and often groups suh as girl or boy scouts, youth groups, etc. will come in to visit for the afternoon doing a "adopted grandparent" program or come in for Christmas caroling and sometimes even perform little skits and songs. From what I have seen they arrange a good deal of social events for the residents as well. In addition to the socializing aspects of this nursing home it is also very clean and does not have that dreaded "nursing home smell" that most think of when they think of visiting their friends and family in a nursing home. I have a few friends who have worked at this facility and they all have nothing but good things to say about the staff and management. "

"I'm moving into Brooks Estates at Wesley Village. They have little cottages and homes and I bought one of those. They plant grass and trees, and the outside is very well maintained. The cottage has an open floor plan. The way they had it arranged is very spacious, and I have a lot of closet space. I have a one and a half car garage, and it has a large storage room. I have a washer and dryer, stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator. All you pay for is cable and your telephone, and everything else is provided. I know quite a few people who lived here and they were very satisfied with the place. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating. I have my own kitchen, but I could go over and eat in their dining room. I've eaten there twice, and it was good both times. It's a clean facility, they're very compassionate, and very good with their people."

"When I visited Smith Nursing Home for the first time, I was immediately impressed as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. The grounds were well-kept and landscaped. The exterior of the building looked new. Upon entering the building, I was greeted by a recptionist at the front desk. She was friendly and directed me immediately to the room where my uncle was staying. It was easy to find. I found him in his bed reading. The television in the room was on his favorite channel. The shades/curtains on the window were open revealing bright sunlight and a nice view of the landscape. It was Fall, so it was really a pretty site. My uncle was in good spirits, although he complained about the staff and conditions. However, it must be noted that he is known to complain and make up stories for our amusement! While I was visiting him, staff came into the room twice to check on him. They were friendly, joking, and seemed completely at ease, despite his complaining. I later learned that he had become nasty and irrational with the staff a few days later. The staff handled the situation tactfully and with compassion. In fact, they had MUCH more patience with him and his cranky demeanor than I would have had given the circumstances. Eventually however, my uncle became increasingly difficult and became a threat to the staff and other patients. The director of the nursing home gave him numerous chances, but in the end, he had to be discharged to home. I do not blame the nursing home at all and I feel that they handled the situation wonderfully. I would definitely recommend this facility in the future. The staff was compassionate, patient, and competent. The director was personally involved on a daily basis. The facility itself was clean, bright, comfortable, and home-like. It was quiet, smelled good, and was decorated for each of the holidays. My experience with Smith Nursing Home was overall positive and satisfactory. "

"My friend has been placed in Highland Manor. She is doing pretty well. I haven't been able to go in and see her, so I can only go by what she tells me. She said the food is pretty good and the staff is really nice, so she's pretty content. She said it's very clean, too. They do special things -- like on Valentine's Day, they brought them chocolate-covered strawberries and on Donut Day, they brought them donuts and stuff. They do special things that they don't really have to do, but they did. I think they go above and beyond what they have to do to make the residents feel good. The staff has been pretty good. The only problem she had was that her laundry got lost, but it was found. The staff has been courteous and helpful to me when I have spoken to them."

"I visited the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. It’s a nice place with a fine staff, but it seems like they don’t put on enough people each shift. The food is adequate with a good menu of choices, and residents can eat in a dining room setting or their rooms. The rooms were fine, but they should be updated. Their number one need is to improve on staffing. "

"The Staff on hand was friendly, courteous and had a lot of compassion for us and my sick great Aunt. All year, everyday the staff was kind, made sure she always had something to eat and drink. There were a lot of patients in this nursing home though, so the only complaint was that sometimes we would wait a while to obtain some nourishment for my family member. My Aunt was very religious and has a keen eye for attending services and she did not miss one mass. But, she took a turn for the worse and up until her passing the priest would stop by and bless all us. Overall, it was a welcome-home type of feeling at this nursing home. There was a lot of activities for the patients to keep busy such as: bingo,singing and outside recreational activities. As far as the facilities goes, the building was always clean and staff always kept you alert on things like: when the food was coming or just updated you on what was happening that day. I would recommend this place to anyone in search of a kind nursing facility. "

"Mountain City is wonderful. There's no problem whatsoever with the place. My brother is healthy and well taken care of. If there's a problem or an inquiry they get back to us right away and they tell us what they're going to do and how are they going to fix it and answer our questions. So we are happy with that place. We go up there every other week with my family. "

"The staff is very good. The food is served in a dining room that all patients can go to and eat. The food in dining room is well cooked and warm. The food served to the rooms is not cold or bad. It's unfortunate that as we all get older our minds think in different manners.....a majority of aging think in a negative manner do to health issues. However, they are all cared for in a very nice manner. The facility is an older facility and has been at the location for numerous years. It is kept clean but could use some upgrades to compare more like new facilities. "

"Mom fell and broke her femur. She is in Mountain View Care right now. She's in total care there because she needs help with everything. They're very good to her. They have tons of activities and they have a really good program there. When you walk in the place, it's very nice and very welcoming. But to be honest, I think they could clean a little bit better than they do. I think they're understaffed, too. "
