I can't adequately express my appreciation for the kindness and caring from staff and management that my mom has received while in the nursing facility. The Administrator was diligent in communicating information and discussing the care and treatment plan, so we were in agreement. The mission appears to be caring about each resident as you might a family member as opposed to thinking only abt the money aspect. The team was fantastic. I could call or visit any time. The social worker went out of her way to set up an I pad so I could face time with my mom. The care was phenomenal. For the first time in a few months (I moved her to Smith from another facility that fell way below expectations and where the care was really inadequate and subpar), my mom was like a human being again- smiling, happy, reading a book, feeling safe and secure with a definite reduction in negative health issues. When I first toured the facility, I was impressed with the colors in the rooms and set up. It made you feel tranquil, comfortable and less stressed. Each resident has a recliner chair to relax and feel better and the staff is very attentive. My mom really enjoys the time outside in the garden and the other fun activities, such as ice cream social. Sooo my mom has improved enough to move over to the personal care side and is happy. I can't thank the owner and administrators and staff enough. I can finally rest that she is in good hands and be able to sleep at night. THANK YOU, SMITH HEALTHCARE!!

Words are not enough to express our gratitude for the kindness & help they have given to our mom during the last two years. We appreciate the communication from the staff and nurses, it is so helpful so my family can be alerted. Thanks for taking excellent care of our mother. So very pleased with Smith Health Care. My mom has been there over 3 years and her care is exceptional. The facility is always clean and smells clean. The staff is awesome and they treat mom like family. The head of nursing always keeps me informed of any and all changes involving my mom. She is happy at Smith and I would highly recommend this nursing facility to anyone. Definitely 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

My mother was a resident of Smith Nursing Home before her passing. I found the staff responsive to her needs. The facility was well taking care of inside and out. Hopefully I will not need to go to facility like this? If I do, this is where I would want to go.

Me and my wife are living in The Smith Health Care. It is very nice. Our room is like a suite. It is like two rooms that were made into one. We have all that we need in the apartment. The staff is top rate. They're very good.

When I visited Smith Nursing Home for the first time, I was immediately impressed as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. The grounds were well-kept and landscaped. The exterior of the building looked new. Upon entering the building, I was greeted by a recptionist at the front desk. She was friendly and directed me immediately to the room where my uncle was staying. It was easy to find. I found him in his bed reading. The television in the room was on his favorite channel. The shades/curtains on the window were open revealing bright sunlight and a nice view of the landscape. It was Fall, so it was really a pretty site. My uncle was in good spirits, although he complained about the staff and conditions. However, it must be noted that he is known to complain and make up stories for our amusement! While I was visiting him, staff came into the room twice to check on him. They were friendly, joking, and seemed completely at ease, despite his complaining. I later learned that he had become nasty and irrational with the staff a few days later. The staff handled the situation tactfully and with compassion. In fact, they had MUCH more patience with him and his cranky demeanor than I would have had given the circumstances. Eventually however, my uncle became increasingly difficult and became a threat to the staff and other patients. The director of the nursing home gave him numerous chances, but in the end, he had to be discharged to home. I do not blame the nursing home at all and I feel that they handled the situation wonderfully. I would definitely recommend this facility in the future. The staff was compassionate, patient, and competent. The director was personally involved on a daily basis. The facility itself was clean, bright, comfortable, and home-like. It was quiet, smelled good, and was decorated for each of the holidays. My experience with Smith Nursing Home was overall positive and satisfactory.
