My sister-in-law moved into Serenity Care Kingston. It is very nice and quite inviting. The rooms are clean and updated. They have a nice lounge for the residents to congregate. It has a huge TV and a small fireplace. They have a foyer where the residents like to sit and congregate. Also, there are rocking chairs outside for them to enjoy the good weather. My sister-in-law certainly enjoys the food there. Most of the staff that I met initially when my sister-in-law first got there were very attentive to her, and they were asking her questions as to what she liked. They had a great activities director, but she just left. She enjoys participating in bingo, crafts, and card games. She's quite happy there, and she's settled in and adjusting very well.

About Serenity Care Kingston in Kingston, Pennsylvania
At Serenity Care Personal Care Community, we handle all the responsibilities of daily living, giving our residents back their independence and freedom to once again enjoy their life. Our personal care communities are so much more than a wonderful place to call home, they are truly a place to live! Serenity Care is different than other senior living communities in so many ways. We are not a nationally owned corporation that sometimes places profit before care. Our owner was born and raised right here in NEPA and is passionate about providing our local senior population with beautiful personal care homes that enrich their life, mind, and spirit. He purchased Serenity Care in 2022 and has since completely renovated all 4 locations. Each community features modern designs and amenities, top-of-the-line furniture and décor, beautiful outdoor patios and sitting areas, restaurant-style quality meals, 24/7 safety monitoring, and on top of all that, one of the best care teams you will ever meet! Since day one, our owner has stood by his words in saying, "Serenity Care personal care community is where individuals come to live, not die" and our highly trained care teams take that literally, from the medical care we provide, to the full day of activities residents take part in, or assisting residents with their daily needs that helps re-instill dignity and pride, we are truly different from other personal care communities. Our highly trained staff take pride in caring for residents with many diagnoses such as dementia/forgetfulness, catheter and incontinence care, diabetics, COPD, hypertension, kidney disease, arthritis and so much more! Our team also provides medication management, and our resident care is overseen by a Director of Wellness. Serenity Care not only cares for residents with certain medical needs, but we also care for many residents who just can’t handle the daily responsibilities of living on their own, such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, traversing up and down stairs, getting dressed, bathing, taking care of home repairs, etc. Through assisting residents with their activities of daily living (ADLs), residents regain a sense of pride in themselves, happiness, motivation, and most importantly, a fulfilling life. Serenity Care residents are energetic to get up in the morning and start their day without the fear of struggling to simply get dressed or figure out their medication, as our care team assists each resident with all of it. Additionally, our highly trained caregivers pride themselves on ensuring that every single resident is treated with the upmost respect, dignity, and compassion just as if they were caring for their own family or loved one. Serenity Care also prides itself on creating an environment that enhances social and physical well-being for our residents. We believe that providing daily social activities allows residents to feel connectedness, friendship, and happiness, further promoting health and well-being. Serenity Care's dedicated activities team provides all day long activities such as morning stretches and exercise, news updates, bingo, card games, arts & crafts, gardening, safe outdoor walks, yoga, birthday celebrations, holiday parties, special event celebrations, live entertainment such as musicians, polka, magicians, etc. and so much more! We understand that many families start their journey into looking at personal care communities, with it being the first time they’ve had to explore these options for a loved one, a family member, or a friend. At Serenity Care, we are here to help and answer any questions, regardless of whether you choose Serenity Care or not. Please feel free to schedule a tour, stop in to see our newly renovated communities, or contact us with any questions. I went to see Serenity Care Kingston. I thought everybody was very nice and very concerned about the residents. The unit that I saw was fine. It was a room with a bathroom. There was a sitting area, and they had activities for the residents. The place was lovely, and I thought it was clean. Their food was more typical; it was not different. It was just run-of-the-mill. I didn't eat there, but I got menus. It wasn't enough to make us move.

My mother is moving into Kingston Manor this February. I thought it was great. The staff was very friendly, the administrator was fantastic. It was very clean. I had two tours. First, your tour was a private tour and then my second tour was with my mother. And both times the facility was clean. The staff was again friendly. The residents interacted with the staff. We were very pleased, and the size of the rooms is also to our liking. They have a beauty/barbershop. They have a podiatrist that comes to visit with the residents. They will do any type of mobile transport for labs, X-rays, or stuff like that. They have the activities room, and once COVID is over, they're going to be doing outings. Pricing was one of the reasons we chose them, although they were on the higher side, appearance overall, and cleanliness of the facility.

My mom will be moving into Kingston Manor. My first impression is very good. They are a little pushy with the vaccine, and they really want her to be vaccinated. I'm doing my best to keep her safe from the vaccine. Other than that, they seem good. They have a new food service company providing their food. It's a very clean place, nice people, small, a good location. Other than the vaccine nonsense, I have nothing but good things so far. The only thing that I do like about the place is that you can eat there with your parents. I can eat there with my mom. I can just schedule it, but I can eat with her there. The food smells amazing. The tour was right at the beginning of lunchtime, and the administrator took me around and he showed me the food. I saw it firsthand. They were having chicken, and I'm going like, "I want to I want to live here." I met the nurse at the nurse's station, and she was very polite. I met the chef in the kitchen. She was just nothing but friendly; she was just wonderful. She was the one who even told me, "When your mom moves in, you can have lunch with her." I'm like, "Oh my God." They're just very polite and very nice. Another positive aspect is they have no problem with my mother leaving for the day for a few hours. I can take her to lunch or whatever, so that's a really great moment.

We have moved my aunt into Kingston Manor. We chose it for its location. The staff was very professional and very informative. They seem very friendly, informative, and caring. She has no complaints with the food. She is settling in, so she hasn't really used any of the activities yet. Everything looks nice and clean. It's modern looking and welcoming. Her room is average for a nursing home room. It's standard. I live down the street.

My mom resides here and I am so pleased with her care. I am an RN myself and can have some high expectations of care and they have honestly exceeded it . Nursing care top notch the Nurse Mitzi is very responsive calls me back quickly when I call. Administrator gave me her cell phone number to call at anytime. Home smells nice every time I am there. Home made soup is a nice touch with meals and the extra attention to my mom who is very resistive to eating. Thanks you Kingston Manor staff for all you do.

WOW!!! I did a tour at Kingston Manor today as well as a few others in the Kingston area. I will say it was the best experience. I was greeted by a staff member immediately, the building smelled like a yankee candle, the halls all were clean and smelled fresh. The room I toured was very clean and home like . Well as home like as you can get in a facility. I will be going back for sure when its time to move my dad into a facility. I was also thrilled with the activates schedule and meal being served while I was there.

Kingston Manor is pretty big, nice, and clean. They have big rooms and a nice dining room. It felt more like a home and not an institution.
