"My mother has moved into Allied Services Meade Street Residence. She is in Whispering Hope, which is a secured facility. The only thing is they tend to lose some of their clothes and then sometimes they pop back up and they find them, but the girls are incredible. The food is amazing. I'm very, very pleased with everything there. Her room is nice and nice sized, and she has a television in there, but she usually likes to sit out with all the other residents because even the residents are very nice. Even though she's in a locked area, she has her own dining area. They do tons of activities and she participates in everything. Their activity director is over the top and she's amazing with these residents. They have three facilities together. They have a hospice building, a skilled nursing, and a personal care home. The staff is very good. The activities are amazing. Value for money is a five just because of the care that she gets, the meals, and the activities."

"I want to go to Tiffany Court at Kingston. That place is fantastic. It is beautiful. All the stuff was new. They had great facilities, great rooms, and great food. We asked them about the meals, and we saw some of the meals come out and they were nice. The staff was wonderful. The facility was wonderful. It's clean and it didn't smell like urine like some nursing home. It's a newer building in the area."

"I toured the memory facility of Oakwood Terrace and I thought it was very good. My issue was that it ended up being a little farther away than I thought and that was the only reason I didn't go with it. It was very nice and clean, they had a lot of activities available, and I thought it was an, overall, good facility. The staff was very nice. They were polite, informative, and they answered all my questions. The rooms were very nice too. They were clean, bright, and sunny. It had a kitchenette or a small kitchen area on the floor itself but the individual rooms only had beds and bedroom furniture. They had a fitness area and a salon available but I did not go into them. The place was very nice and seemed to be a happy kind of place."

"I went to Providence Place Senior Living of Drums (Hazleton). It is a very beautiful community. Every room is repainted and perfect when you move in. They have a very friendly staff there. They have various apartments that you can do. It doesn't matter what level of care you are in. They have different levels of care from one to four. You can stay in the same apartment no matter how much extensive care as you get older you may need. They have different-sized rooms and apartments. The food is more like home-cooked food, and a lot of like Italian things. The care has been excellent as far as what she needs. They have physical therapy onsite, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and a lot of activities. They have a bus. They go on trips. They can go to a store or they sometimes go to a movie or I believe they went to a play, different things like that. So they run a bus for a trip with that. They'll take people to doctor's appointments and things within a certain radius. They have an in-house doctor. They have nurses on staff. They distribute the medications if they need help with that. So, overall, they pretty much do everything anyone could need. And, they have a chapel there. My friend sometimes complains that the food is salty."

"Jewish Home of Eastern PA was a very beautiful place. There was no odor. The walls had colors. It's homey and had wooden floors. I only saw the dementia unit. The administrator who showed me around was very kind and answered all my questions. They just didn't have any availability. The staff was extremely friendly. Meals were included. They had an activities room and there were some people coloring. It seemed very pleasant."
