"The tour I had at Elan Gardens was done very well. The exterior of the place was extraordinary, and its amenities were excellent. The room size was very adequate, and the closet was great. We looked at a studio and a 1-bedroom apartment. The 1-bedroom was a little nicer. But either room would work for my mom. They have a 42-room capacity, and 39 of them were occupied, which is a good thing. The activities were excellent. Their staffing was excellent. The dining rooms were very nice. The thing I was most impressed with was the tablecloth and flowers on each table. The cost was very good because it was all-inclusive. What we liked about it was that they can serve breakfast in the resident's room. The only thing I would not rate a 5 out of everything was the room size because it was a little smaller than what we had envisioned. But because of the closet, it was more than adequate."

"My mom moved into Celebration Villa of Mid Valley. Everywhere is short-staffed. Thanks to the current environment, nobody has enough staff. That being said, with the short staff, they are doing an excellent job of attempting to care for my mom. The only downside is, because of their short staff status, it's difficult to get a hold of a person to try and get status on my mom after hours. The process of moving my mom was fine, and there were no issues. She gets to choose her meals daily. They have several options, and she gets to pick from the available. It is a lockdown facility. You have to get buzzed in to be able to go into the building. They are very good at taking care to prevent anyone with illnesses to get in and cause a problem. Everything I've seen looks nice, but I haven't seen her physical room. They have an outdoor area. Once COVID restrictions are lifted, they can have up to five people in the area as visitors. There is a visitation room. If she'd had a private room, we could go in and visit her in the room. The price is reasonable."

"My father moved into Mid Valley Manor. I like that the staff is very pleasant and very accommodating. Anytime I have questions, they answer them. They're very good. They serve three meals a day. They also have entertainment, shopping, Bingo, and music. When you walk in the door it is very clean, but the bathroom in my father's room is not clean."

"My mother has moved into Allied Services Meade Street Residence. She is in Whispering Hope, which is a secured facility. The only thing is they tend to lose some of their clothes and then sometimes they pop back up and they find them, but the girls are incredible. The food is amazing. I'm very, very pleased with everything there. Her room is nice and nice sized, and she has a television in there, but she usually likes to sit out with all the other residents because even the residents are very nice. Even though she's in a locked area, she has her own dining area. They do tons of activities and she participates in everything. Their activity director is over the top and she's amazing with these residents. They have three facilities together. They have a hospice building, a skilled nursing, and a personal care home. The staff is very good. The activities are amazing. Value for money is a five just because of the care that she gets, the meals, and the activities."

"My friend went into the hospital, and now he is back at Oakwood Terrace. They're taking very good care of him, and for now, he has been okay. It's very clean. The workers are very pleasant. The food is good. It is structured very well. It's one floor, and certain sections are called by different names so that the residents can get more familiar with their area when they first come in. When somebody comes to visit, they're pointed out what section to go to to visit the person. It has a strategy for the layout, so I think it's very good for everybody. The staff is very good. They're very helpful. The administration is very compassionate. The food is prepared by a chef that is well-known in the area. And he does a very good job. They have an activity room that is large enough to fit all the residents and scheduled activities the residents are participating in like bingo, painting, and entertainment."

"My parents liked it at Providence Place Senior Living of Drums. I liked it. They seemed to be doing good there, too. However, when COVID happened, I wasn't even able to go inside. I only saw my parents outside. I feel like the care was pretty good. My father was always saying that they were good, but sometimes he would say, "Oh, I pressed my buzzer and the girls didn't come in too fast." Then he would say, "The girls would be here in the morning and got your Mom out of bed and helped her get out of bed. They would come and help her get dressed." They're pretty good help over there. There was a TV and two nice beds in my parents' room. It was a nice room. They liked their room. There was a bathroom, a shower, and a little sink in the kitchen. They seemed to like it there. I don't know why I brought them home. Mainly because they have a house and it costs a lot of money. My dad said he liked the food. He said the food was really good there. My mom didn't eat too good, but that's just the way her disease is. There were a lot of activities to keep you busy. They took them on a ride like a country ride. I was always calling and telling the activity people that I wanted to make sure that my parents went to their activities. The girls that came in and helped were very nice and helpful. There's three floors and my parents were on the second floor. They could walk down the hallway and there was an extra room where you could sit if you wanted to. With COVID, right now everything has to be limited, and you have to wear your masks. It's a little bit expensive. For some special things, like if you have diabetes, they charge a lot more money a month just to help you do things like shots."

"My mother was at Jewish Home for a month for rehab. It was excellent, the food was delicious, and I can't say anything bad about it. It was well maintained, it was a very nice place, very spacious, and it didn't smell."
