"I visited a family member at Elan Gardens. It seemed excellent. She mentioned the food was okay. But as far as the facility itself and the room and everything, it seemed very, very pleasant. The staff seemed very attentive. I saw the area where they eat and the outside area, and they're very pleasant, too. They had different kinds of rooms, and my family member had plenty of space. I was impressed with them."

"My mom moved to The Pines Senior Living. They're a newer facility. It has larger rooms for the residents, is very accommodating, very clean, and is top-scale. My mom said the food was good. They have activity rooms. They do exercises. They have games. They had a barbecue on the 4th of July. They're pretty active there. They have religious services, too. The value is worth your money."

"I toured The Gardens of Green Ridge. If my cousin didn't get into the other place, I definitely would have wanted him in The Gardens of Green Ridge. It was beautiful for someone who's looking for a very, very nice, modern, updated place. It's just that my cousin wasn't interested in any of the extra amenities. But I enjoyed the visit. I checked everything. It was very top-notch. However, it was way out of our reach as far as distance. But the place was gorgeous, I would move in there. I'm 75 so I could get there, too. The staff who gave the tour was very informative and very patient with me. Just a nice place and nice people there. It's a very clean up-to-date place."

"My mother has been a resident at Mid Valley Manor since 2011. I can attest first hand to the excellent care that she receives on a daily basis. "I toured the Celebration Villa of Mid Valley. It's a memory care facility and all the exit doors were electronically controlled so that the staff didn't have to worry about anybody wandering out. Everything was very clean. I like that it was on one level. All the floors were done with laminate type of wood-type material, which made them very clean and safe. There weren't any bumps or anything on the floor. There are a lot of things that go into these facilities that you don't even think about, but this facility was safe, organized, and staffed properly. Everybody was like a family. It was awesome. Their facility was exceptional and the care for the patients and the food they had was specially designed for each person's needs. The director of the facility was awesome. I was a little bit late in getting there, about 15 minutes late because I had trouble finding the place, but she took it upon herself to give me a tour personally. I felt very good about the visit. She was wonderful. She's called me back probably 5 or 6 times. She's been persistent in communicating and everything, more so than the others. She took me through the pantry and the dining facility and showed me how everything was set up. I was impressed."

"My sister-in-law moved into Serenity Care Kingston. It is very nice and quite inviting. The rooms are clean and updated. They have a nice lounge for the residents to congregate. It has a huge TV and a small fireplace. They have a foyer where the residents like to sit and congregate. Also, there are rocking chairs outside for them to enjoy the good weather. My sister-in-law certainly enjoys the food there. Most of the staff that I met initially when my sister-in-law first got there were very attentive to her, and they were asking her questions as to what she liked. They had a great activities director, but she just left. She enjoys participating in bingo, crafts, and card games. She's quite happy there, and she's settled in and adjusting very well. "

"Jewish Home of Eastern PA was a very beautiful place. There was no odor. The walls had colors. It's homey and had wooden floors. I only saw the dementia unit. The administrator who showed me around was very kind and answered all my questions. They just didn't have any availability. The staff was extremely friendly. Meals were included. They had an activities room and there were some people coloring. It seemed very pleasant."

"I toured the memory facility of Oakwood Terrace and I thought it was very good. My issue was that it ended up being a little farther away than I thought and that was the only reason I didn't go with it. It was very nice and clean, they had a lot of activities available, and I thought it was an, overall, good facility. The staff was very nice. They were polite, informative, and they answered all my questions. The rooms were very nice too. They were clean, bright, and sunny. It had a kitchenette or a small kitchen area on the floor itself but the individual rooms only had beds and bedroom furniture. They had a fitness area and a salon available but I did not go into them. The place was very nice and seemed to be a happy kind of place."

"My mother-in-law will be moving into Wesley Village. I've been there a couple of times with her and they're wonderful. It's clean, and the nurses are exceptionally polite and they're very attentive. The rooms were good and plenty big enough. I know they have birthday parties and they play different things. The dining area is very nice. I know everybody that's been there likes it. They have quite a selection of food. Everybody is very helpful. Right now, I went into rehab but they are moving her over to the nursing care."

"I want to go to Tiffany Court at Kingston. That place is fantastic. It is beautiful. All the stuff was new. They had great facilities, great rooms, and great food. We asked them about the meals, and we saw some of the meals come out and they were nice. The staff was wonderful. The facility was wonderful. It's clean and it didn't smell like urine like some nursing home. It's a newer building in the area."

"My mother has moved into Allied Services Meade Street Residence. She is in Whispering Hope, which is a secured facility. The only thing is they tend to lose some of their clothes and then sometimes they pop back up and they find them, but the girls are incredible. The food is amazing. I'm very, very pleased with everything there. Her room is nice and nice sized, and she has a television in there, but she usually likes to sit out with all the other residents because even the residents are very nice. Even though she's in a locked area, she has her own dining area. They do tons of activities and she participates in everything. Their activity director is over the top and she's amazing with these residents. They have three facilities together. They have a hospice building, a skilled nursing, and a personal care home. The staff is very good. The activities are amazing. Value for money is a five just because of the care that she gets, the meals, and the activities."

"We choose Ellen Memorial Health Care Center for my father because it is very convenient to my job. He is very happy there. They serve three meals a day. They provide transportation for doctor's appointments. They have daily activities and special help for visually impaired people. The food is delicious. The staff calls me daily with updates. They are wonderful. They call me daily with any changes in his care. I am there pretty much five days a week. He likes the food. The staff is very attentive. They respond very quickly when he rings his bell. "
