My husband stayed at Celebration Villa of Mid Valley. They were good in all areas. He participated in some activities. He had a nice private room and they had upgraded it. My husband was in memory care, and I don't think the facility was as clean as the other place, but I oftentimes hit them right after lunch, and that was the worst time. His room was clean, but he rarely used it. He usually slept in a chair because he preferred to sleep somewhere like the nurse's station, or wherever there were other people. They were good with my husband, but they did get frustrated with him and they didn't mind telling me, but I don't blame them. He was difficult, but they took care of him. They did transport him to the ER several times, but one time I got the bill for $1,000 for an ambulance service that I'm not too happy about. I didn't know it was going to cost that much and Medicare is not going to pay for it. That's one thing that I think they could have been a little more careful about. They don't have a very big staff, but I think that holds true for every place. They had Memorial Day and Veterans Day, and he participated in them. They had a lot of plans and things, and they deserve a good rating on that. They were very invested in their patients.

I toured the Celebration Villa of Mid Valley. It's a memory care facility and all the exit doors were electronically controlled so that the staff didn't have to worry about anybody wandering out. Everything was very clean. I like that it was on one level. All the floors were done with laminate type of wood-type material, which made them very clean and safe. There weren't any bumps or anything on the floor. There are a lot of things that go into these facilities that you don't even think about, but this facility was safe, organized, and staffed properly. Everybody was like a family. It was awesome. Their facility was exceptional and the care for the patients and the food they had was specially designed for each person's needs. The director of the facility was awesome. I was a little bit late in getting there, about 15 minutes late because I had trouble finding the place, but she took it upon herself to give me a tour personally. I felt very good about the visit. She was wonderful. She's called me back probably 5 or 6 times. She's been persistent in communicating and everything, more so than the others. She took me through the pantry and the dining facility and showed me how everything was set up. I was impressed.

My mom moved into Celebration Villa of Mid Valley. Everywhere is short-staffed. Thanks to the current environment, nobody has enough staff. That being said, with the short staff, they are doing an excellent job of attempting to care for my mom. The only downside is, because of their short staff status, it's difficult to get a hold of a person to try and get status on my mom after hours. The process of moving my mom was fine, and there were no issues. She gets to choose her meals daily. They have several options, and she gets to pick from the available. It is a lockdown facility. You have to get buzzed in to be able to go into the building. They are very good at taking care to prevent anyone with illnesses to get in and cause a problem. Everything I've seen looks nice, but I haven't seen her physical room. They have an outdoor area. Once COVID restrictions are lifted, they can have up to five people in the area as visitors. There is a visitation room. If she'd had a private room, we could go in and visit her in the room. The price is reasonable.

My dad has chosen here. My parents are fine; they're good. They really like it. They have dining, and laundry services. The staff is extremely friendly.

The staff was highly skilled and clearly understand memory care. It's a smaller community so the setting is more intimate and homey. The chef even took the time to meet with us and showed us how they handle some things that come up with meal times. I got a comfortable, warm feeling, so this was my first choice for my mom. Everything was very transparent with meals, and they have the tables set up like you're in a restaurant.

It seemed to be very nice. Everything was clean, the rooms were nicely done, and the staff was very pleasant. They do a lot of re-orientation and give a lot of different activities of daily living because they are mostly related to Alzheimer's and dementia. Everything is in place that should be there. The overall atmosphere was fine.
