At Serenity Care, we handle all of the responsibilities of daily living, giving our residents back their independence and freedom to once again enjoy their life. Our personal care communities are so much more than a wonderful place to call home, they are truly a place to live! Serenity Care is different than other senior living homes in so many ways. Our owner was born and raised right here in NEPA and is passionate about providing our local senior population with beautiful personal care homes that enrich their life, mind, and spirit. Since day one, our owner has stood by his words in saying, "Serenity Care personal care community is where individuals come to live, not die" and our highly trained team take that literally, from the medical care we provide, to the full day of activities residents take part in, or assisting residents with their daily needs that instills dignity and pride, we are truly different from other personal care communities. Too often we hear horrible stories of someone's loved one going into a PCH, nursing home, or a skilled rehab and they are just left in bed for extended periods of time, limited help getting washed or changed for the day, or even worse an individual left laying/sitting in their own bodily fluids. At Serenity Care, you will NEVER hear one of those horrible stories.

Our highly trained staff take pride in caring for residents with many diagnoses such as dementia/forgetfulness, catheter and incontinence care, diabetics, COPD, hypertension, kidney disease, arthritis and so much more! Our team also provides medication management, and our resident care is overseen by a Director of Wellness. Serenity Care not only cares for residents with certain medical needs, but we also care for many residents that just can't handle the daily responsibilities of living on their own such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, traversing up and down stairs, getting dressed, bathing, taking care of home repairs, etc. Through assisting residents with their activities of daily living (ADLs), residents regain happiness, motivation, and most importantly a fulfilling life. Serenity Care residents are energetic to get up in the morning and start their day without the fear of struggling to simply get dressed or figure out their medication, as our care team assists each resident with all of it. Additionally, our highly trained care givers pride themselves on ensuring that every single resident is treated with the upmost respect, dignity, and compassion just as if they were caring for their own family or loved one. Serenity Care also prides itself on creating an environment that enhances social and physical well-being for our residents. Serenity Care believes that providing daily social activities allows residents to feel connectedness, friendship, happiness, further promoting health and well-being. Serenity Care's dedicated activities team provides all day long activities such as morning stretches and exercise, news updates, bingo, card games, arts & crafts, gardening, safe outdoor walks, yoga, birthday celebrations, holiday parties, special event celebrations, live entertainment such as musicians, polka, magicians, etc. and so much more!
