"My dad is in a skilled nursing home at Mountain Top Senior Care. I have no problems with them. Everything seems to be OK. He has his own room, and it is clean. The place is decorated nice and clean. It has a nice environment too. They have a nice little courtyard where the residents can go outside when the weather is nice. It is a really nice place. "

"I can't adequately express my appreciation for the kindness and caring from staff and management that my mom has received while in the nursing facility. The Administrator was diligent in communicating information and discussing the care and treatment plan, so we were in agreement. The mission appears to be caring about each resident as you might a family member as opposed to thinking only abt the money aspect. The team was fantastic. I could call or visit any time. The social worker went out of her way to set up an I pad so I could face time with my mom. The care was phenomenal. For the first time in a few months (I moved her to Smith from another facility that fell way below expectations and where the care was really inadequate and subpar), my mom was like a human being again- smiling, happy, reading a book, feeling safe and secure with a definite reduction in negative health issues. When I first toured the facility, I was impressed with the colors in the rooms and set up. It made you feel tranquil, comfortable and less stressed. Each resident has a recliner chair to relax and feel better and the staff is very attentive. My mom really enjoys the time outside in the garden and the other fun activities, such as ice cream social. Sooo my mom has improved enough to move over to the personal care side and is happy. I can't thank the owner and administrators and staff enough. I can finally rest that she is in good hands and be able to sleep at night. THANK YOU, SMITH HEALTHCARE!!"

"Mountain Top Senior Care & Rehab Center is a good place. They take good care of Mom and she seems to be doing very well there. She's been happy. I like it and she likes it. Right now, she has a private room, so she has a great room. Whenever I go there, everything's fine. The food is good. She likes it and the people that are there. I would recommend them. For what we're paying, the value is good."

"We chose Little Flower Manor of Diocese for my father. He is a lot happier. Overall, it’s a nice place, and I would recommend it. They play bingo almost every day and play cards and checkers. They take trips out to the casino and parks as well. "

"Heritage House was a true blessing when my grandmother became to ill to care for herself. My mother was an only child and it was all on her shoulders to care for my grandmother. When she was unable to care for both her mother and her children she turned to Heritage House. The staff there was amazing. They showed incredible kindness and compassion to both my grandmother and our family. The atomsphere there was light-hearted and friendly. I remember going there one day to visit my grandmother and we sat and watched a group of Irish dancers perform. There was always lots of fun activities and socials that my grandmother could participate in when she felt up to it. When my grandmother passed away the staff there stood by our side and helped us move through the grieving process and helping out in anyway they could with final arrangements. No one ever wants to put a loved one in a home but Heritage House definitely helped to ease our minds when my grandmother was there. "

"My mom is a resident of Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center. It's an excellent facility, which is a little bit too much for her right now. They're wonderful there. The whole place is fantastic, not only the staff, but also the facilities. It's a beautiful place. They have a patio outside. They have really good therapy. They also have an activities room. They have activity aides and they get the residents involved."

"My mom moved into Manorcare in Kingston and she stayed for only 18 days. There are three people to a room, which is a little disconcerting, but other than that they take good care of my mom. The staff and service was very professional. They had quite a few activities that worked out well for everybody else. The cleanliness of the place was good."

"A nice facility, staff very friendly, with the exception of horrible weekend contract nursing. It's always advisable to visit loved one as much as possible. Squeaky wheel. Clean and cared for. Always feel welcomed. One of the nicer ones in the local area."

"I have to say that his stay in this place is 100% better than where he was at the hospital. It's clean the staff is awesome and the food is great. They really are working to help him as well as help take care of him. In the hospital it took forever to get someone to help him shower or use the bathroom and now when you say you need help the come and help right away. The most important thing is that they treat the people like they care and like people. Now we are all happy with where he is. It is a great place. "

"I was extremely pleased with the facility. I don't know why the facility is rated as low on the internet. The facility is clean and well-maintained. All my interactions with the staff was very positive without any complaints. I would definitely use this facility if needed again."

"The Mercy Center Skilled Nursing & Personal Care in Dallas is on the campus of College Misericordia. Now, that was really like my first choice. The facility there is beautiful. They have a full church on the campus. It is a very, very clean, very nice facility. I was impressed, you know, when I had gone there and was going to place Mom there. But unfortunately, the way that they handled the situation, I don't think they're as qualified to handle dementia care. But for assisted living, or anything like that, it was excellent. They even have an outdoor pool there, and a beautiful patio area. To me, it was like you were going into a really fancy hotel. They even have a gift shop there, they have a church, a beautiful reception area, and the outdoor area grounds are beautiful. It was really a very, very well-manicured, and well cared for facility. So, I would recommend that for anybody else, but for dementia, I would look into that a little bit further. I liked it too that they accepted Medicaid, they had a skilled nursing unit also, a whole floor, and it was like walking into a hospital. That was one of the concepts I liked."

"If at all possible stay away from this place. Care is horrible, staff ignorant and conditions are unreal. My loved one was not able to move. They would put water where it was unreachable, meds not given on time, call bell out of reach, food terrible and put out of reach before taken away fell out of bed four times and was hurt, Just to mention a FEW of the many things a complained about. Finally she was admitted to the hospital then to hospice where she passed in peace."

"My mother-in-law will be moving into Wesley Village. I've been there a couple of times with her and they're wonderful. It's clean, and the nurses are exceptionally polite and they're very attentive. The rooms were good and plenty big enough. I know they have birthday parties and they play different things. The dining area is very nice. I know everybody that's been there likes it. They have quite a selection of food. Everybody is very helpful. Right now, I went into rehab but they are moving her over to the nursing care."

"Sincere Thank You to Nurses, Staff, and Administration who helped to care for my Godfather / Uncle at Mountain City Nursing & Rehab Center in Hazleton, Pa. My Uncle was there for almost 2 years, and was on Hospice the last few months of his stay. My Aunt was so impressed with the Nursing Care that my Uncle got and how she, his wife, was treated. The communication and support was excellent. My Uncle was a wonderful and yet difficult man to care for - my Aunt had him at home in a hospital bed for 10 years before admission there. The Nurses and Staff treated him with kindness and dignity despite his actions and behaviors. Even through CoVid, my Aunt was there as much as she could, to visit and feed him. She observed the Nurses & Staff giving meds, moving, toileting, washing, and changing him. They were always so kind. When he passes away, the staff knew her, hugged her, and shared the pain of her loss. She has even told us that is where she wants to be when it is no longer safe for her to be at her own home. So very grateful, God Daughter / Niece who is a Nurse. "

"The staff was not very friendly and it was difficult for my grandfather to get the care he needed. He was often neglected for a long period of time and was not fed on a regular schedule. Cleanliness of the location was also a concern. It seemed as if they did not have continuity with their staff and had issues with staff quitting all of the time. Before he passed away, the staff seemed to be getting better but still had room for improvement. Grief counseling could also be improved. "
