I am a friend or relative of a resident

My dad was at Meadows Nursing Center. We could not afford this facility. His insurance stopped paying for them. They did have different activities listed on the board; however, my dad didn’t partake of them. They did have bingo and music nights. There were a lot of volunteers that come in and help the residents also. It was a very nice place. It was very clean and well-kept. It was, however, more clinical because of it being a nursing home versus an assisted living facility. The rooms were fine. It was typical. My dad was in a shared room with somebody else. The room was a different design than the other facility. The room was basically separated by a curtain. It was OK, but it was more like a hospital room. Some of the nurses and aides were very helpful. They did have a tough job but they all did it very well. They had a great attitude. They never gave an impression that you’re bothering them or the patients were bothering them. They all treated the patients very well.

    I visited this facility

I visited the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. It’s a nice place with a fine staff, but it seems like they don’t put on enough people each shift. The food is adequate with a good menu of choices, and residents can eat in a dining room setting or their rooms. The rooms were fine, but they should be updated. Their number one need is to improve on staffing.
