"The staff was highly skilled and clearly understand memory care. It's a smaller community so the setting is more intimate and homey. The chef even took the time to meet with us and showed us how they handle some things that come up with meal times. I got a comfortable, warm feeling, so this was my first choice for my mom. Everything was very transparent with meals, and they have the tables set up like you're in a restaurant."

"Everything at Mid-Valley Personal Care seemed very clean, except there was an odor when I first walked in. I could also smell bleach, so somebody may have had accident and they were cleaning up to get rid of any kind of urine smell. The staff was very pleasant. I did see the rooms; they seemed fine, clean, and neat. "

"I very much like The Gardens of Green Ridge. They were playing bingo, and then in the memory care unit, they were doing arts and crafts. The staff members were very kind. It was our no. 1 pick of memory care unit so far. The rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean. There was an activity room and they had a pet bird. Now that was in the other side and not the memory care unit. The memory care unit also had an arts and crafts section area. The security was OK; it was locked. Well, it was very nice and we like it."

"I went to Elan Gardens. We had narrowed it down to two different places and Elan Gardens was more than happy to work with us. Like any time we sat down with them and we said, OK my dad can't afford this or my dad is trying for this, they were just very upfront. And if they could help, then they did graciously with no problems at all. It's a Jewish home and my dad is Catholic, but he could do whatever he wanted within his apartment. There was no question there. Inside his apartment it's his, that's his domain. Everybody was just so gracious and kind. He would have gotten a newly renovated room so it would have been new. My dad was in the hospital when I went to Elan Gardens. We figured out that he was going to need to go to a rehab center before he took possession of a place in Elan Gardens. Elan Gardens told us that they also have a sister program, which is Elan Skilled Nursing, and the paperwork between the two of them, between Elan Gardens and Elan Skilled Nursing, was extremely easy to get him transferred from one place to the other place. So, we jumped on that. My father was very excited. He was ready to move. And we were very, very comfortable with the way the people treated us and the way the staff there treated us."

"Pets are not allowed at The Pines at Clarks Summit. The staff was very professional, very friendly, very neat, and very pleasant. You can have your food brought to your room if you didn’t want to go to the dining room. They had exercise rooms, bingo, TVs in certain rooms, and an art room. I saw a two-bedroom apartment with a good-sized bathroom, a kitchen, a sink, a small refrigerator, and a microwave. They also had a big parking lot."

"My Dad has been living at Twin Cedars for 3 yrs now. The staff has always been great with my Dad and helping me when needed. When Covid 19 hit this past year it was very stressful having him in a senior home but Twin Cedars did an excellent job in keeping everyone safe and healthy. It is always fun to see the activity they do with their resident's as they love to take pictures and put them on Facebook and with not being able to see your love one as much as your used to it is a nice surprise to see how much fun they are having. "
