My mother has moved into Green Ridge Health Care Center. We were particularly interested in this facility because it's so near my home and we have known several people who have been residents there and they were always very happy there. The staff is good. They are very accommodating as far as her needs, which change from day to day. I don't have any negative to say about them. We go there daily and we are very pleased with it. She is in a semi-private room. She's on the window side, so that's nice. They do include, as part of the fees, the laundry service. I don't have anything negative to say. They have a regular monthly schedule with things like bingo and movies and so forth. We were pleased with the rehab setup. She goes to rehab and she goes to the dining hall. They have a chapel there. They have a very nice outside area at this time of the year. They're very helpful. We go over there every day and they update us on how she's doing. They have called a couple of times just with minor things when they change medications or anything, so the communication is very good. The food seemed fine to me. If it's something that she doesn't like, she can get the standard things like grilled cheese and hamburgers and so forth. If you don't like the menu, you can go to the options. The food that I tasted seemed fine. It's not a gourmet restaurant, but it seemed well-balanced. Everything is wonderful. It's fairly new. The one thing that we like is that there are a lot of lounges when we go for a visit. One lounge has a lot of puzzles and things like that, and they're nicely furnished. We can have a nice private visit whenever we go. The facilities are very nice. The security is good, as far as entering and leaving from one section to another and getting in the building and so forth. Value for money is very good.

My cousin has been placed in Green Ridge Care Center. It was the cleanest and the best one I found. It's very clean, it's perfect. They're all very well kept, the inside is clean, the people are very nice to him, and it doesn't smell at all inside. The food is good, and as long as the food is good, he's fine. It's exceptional to a degree in the places that are around this area. There's a menu in the hallway every day for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. He gets a full breakfast every day and he has a full lunch, and he gets a sandwich or whatever he wants at night. And if there's something he doesn't like, they make something else for him. They have a mass there all the time, and they have activities in their rec hall, they have parties and they have musicians come in every couple of days. They're kept pretty busy. The staff members are all considerate. They take care of them. He's mentally challenged a little bit, and he just lost his brother and his home, and they've been taking very good care of him and they are very understanding.

Everyone seemed to really care about the patients at the facility and had plenty of patience with each of them. They were very careful with medications and encouraged my mother to take part in the activities of the day. The activities looked like they were fun and stimulating. The facility was always clean.
