"I visited Paradise Manor. They were very accommodating and very knowledgeable. The place was clean. It seemed to have everything there that was needed, and it's close to where I live. I believe it's like $1,500 a month. I didn't see many activities. I basically just saw the amenities. It's more of a studio-type environment."

"My mother recently moved my father to Traditions of Lansdale. He was diagnosed with dementia last year. My mother was really in a bad place when she reached out to them to help my father. The management team is phenomenal. During the transition Brian, Kim, and Alicia have comforted my mother throughout the entire process. During the pandemic visitors were restricted from entering the building. During this time Alicia was in constant communication to address any concerns/ questions my mother had. They also remained COVID free throughout the pandemic which was a huge selling point for my mother. That demonstrates to me that the management team does not take short cuts. Thank you for helping my parents. I look forward to the day I can visit to see my father and meet the staff in person. "

"We were really happy with Hudson Estates Gracious Retirement Living, especially with the girl who gave us the tour. She was very knowledgeable. She showed us all the different features. They showed us an apartment on the third floor, which we didn't really like because we have a little dog and we would really prefer the first floor. She showed us an apartment on the first floor that was being readied. It wasn't finished, but it was ideal for us because you could walk right out into the backyard from there. All in all, we really liked that setup. We fell in love with the theater area because it had tiered seating like a regular movie theater. So, it had lots of amenities like game rooms, lounges, and different places like that. It was within our price range. The sales rep was so friendly and outgoing. She showed us around, and she gave us price ranges for various apartments. She gave us a copy of the menu, and the food looked really good. The place was very clean and quiet."

"I'm in Atria Lafayette Hill at the moment and my wife is in the care program here. It's the most beautiful facility of all the ones we've looked at. A lot of the other ones were new, but this one is very, very noncommercial, very homey, and very, very comfortable. There's a new management staff here, which are very, very responsible and very caring. I don't think any place ever has enough staff. You'd like more people, but the people here are very, very caring. I'd certainly recommend that. So far, the experience is getting better and better once you learn how to live in assisted living. It's a new way of life and not everybody adjusts to it. There are several different apartment types. We have a two-bedroom with two baths two closets and a beautiful porch, overlooking a horse farm. It's a beautiful, uplifting apartment. Pretty much the activities that the residents want, they will get. We have afternoon and evening movies. If you missed the movie, you could see it the next day. I'm even teaching a sculpting class here. Whatever the residents want, they will get. We have a couple of residents who are master gardeners and they put in big above-ground gardens for them to work on. They're very, very responsive to the residents. It was not always the case a year ago, so it's improved tremendously with the new executive director."

"Walnut Woods was too far out in the country for my mother. The impression was that it was one of the older homes that we visited. I thought it had the best arrangements for refrigerators because it had them lifted up sitting on top of a cabinet instead of having to bend down to the floor to get something out of it. The people were very nice, they were very knowledgeable. They were having a veterans program that day to honor the veterans living in their facility and it was a very nice visit. "

"We toured the community and loved it. Everyone just seemed so happy. The woman at the front desk greeted us when we entered. It felt like a place that my mom could call home. I loved the history of the farmhouse and the grounds. I love the fact that there are multiple levels of care so that we will not have to move my mom if her needs change. I would recommend anyone to come and visit this place in you are looking for a place for their parents. "

"The Quadrangle was fine. I didn't feel like it was as warm an environment as the other place. It was also twice the cost; it was very expensive. The food looked nice. I didn't eat anything, but the menu looked nice. Nothing about the activities stood out. They were typical activities, like movements, bingo, and that kind of stuff. The rooms were fine, but it was nicer at the other facility. They have kitchenettes and bathrooms. The facility was nice, but it wasn't worth the money. The staff was fine. I really didn't have any contact with anybody, except the person who was giving me the tour."

"The thing that was appealing to me about Wellington was that there was not a big upfront fee; you pay by the month. The apartment I was able to look at was very nice. The inside areas were nice. They had a small area where you could get sandwiches in addition to a formal dining room. The greeters and the people at the door were very helpful. The people that live there appeared to be happy. I would give them a rating of five stars for the appearance of the place. "

"I was at Springfield briefly for about three weeks last year. I felt that it was not the proper place for me at that time. It was more of a setting for people who needed intensive care, which I did not identify with. The staff was satisfactory. They had breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and special indoor events once a week. I had an adequately sized one-bedroom apartment. They didn't offer a lot of amenities for an independent person. "

"My brother moved into Keystone Villa at Douglassville. I like that he's getting the care that he needs. Everyone is very pleasant and very thorough. They seem very knowledgeable and very friendly. It seems like they take an interest in everyone. They stop in to see how he's doing any time of the day. The building is very clean. It looks good. My brother has not really participated in anything yet, but I see music, bingo, and games going on. I feel that it's a very friendly, warm, personal environment."

"Mom chose Wesley Main Line due to location, amenities and the indoor pool. The community recently upgraded their common areas and the result is much more inviting spaces. During the pandemic, Wesley sent frequent email updates on COVID-19 testing, cases and safety practices. They coordinated the vaccination process for all residents. Residents received wellness checks, meals and room maintenance when we were not allowed to visit. Wesley helps mom have a healthy and active lifestyle. "

"We looked at Wesley Enhanced Living. The apartments were beautiful, the furnishings and accommodations were nice, and they had planned trips and scheduled activities. The dining area was nice, with big windows."

"My aunt was in Sunrise of Abington. I loved Sunrise and the care she got there, but they were just too expensive. They increased the rate from $5,000 to $7,800, and we couldn't sustain that. They had great activities, it was a secure facility, and I loved their dining setup because the residents had options. If they were still hungry after eating, they could get more. It was clean, always smelled great, and looked great. The staff was mostly long tenured, they had a lot of activities, stimulation for the residents, and a lot of stuff to keep them engaged."
