"I toured Benchmark Senior Living at Hamden for my mom. It has a dining room on each floor, and I remember it's four stories. They have snack rooms and a wet bar for wine and beer. They run that once in a while. There is a separate section for memory care on the third floor. And it was really beautiful. I looked at both sections here. The staff was very professional, informative, helpful, and very pleasant. They sit and listen to your concerns. You can ask them any question, and they'll answer happily. They do everything they can to set your mind at ease. The head chef had brought down an apple pie for us when we were leaving, so we brought home an apple pie. They have everything you can think of. They have exercise rooms, a library, and entertainment rooms. They have small diners where you can go and get coffee. A drink is available any time with a snack, and you just help yourself. They gave me an apple pie, and I like a lot of cinnamon and nutmeg and ginger in it. It was a little bit bland and undercooked, but it was good enough. It's still a good dessert."
