I was a patient at Brookside Multi Care twice and each time I was treated with dignity and respect . The staff there is very competent and caring and the rehab center was great. The administrator wound even come in and ask if I had any questions and if I needed anything to let him know. The rooms were very clean and the food was good. I would highly recommend this facility.

The rooms were absolutely filthy and staff refused to change my bedsheets after 5 days of stay until I escalated it. Whenever anyone presses the call bell and it goes unanswered (which it often does because they are chronically short staff), an alarm starts blaring throughout the unit and after hours of hearing this alarm, I started becoming noticeably irritable and stressed out. Everyone does the absolute most to try not to talk to patients which left me feeling subhuman. I'm young enough that I can advocate for myself but I often wonder about the people who can't. I only came here to learn how to climb stairs to get into my 2nd floor apartment but this place is so bad that sleeping out on my lawn or in my shed seems like a better option.

This facility was absolutely disgusting. I can't stress how dirty and unprofessional it was . From the food to the staff. My partner was in there for rehabilitation. No one ever came in the room to change the sheets, empty urinal, or even clean the room. Medication was given at anytime in the evening from 8 to 2 a.m. The staff didn't care about the patients. They would make you feel as if they were doing you a favor.You didn't even know who was who. You would ring the bell, someone will eventually come and just stare at the patient. So you would ring the bell again someone else would finally show up and say they would return to help you, and they would never come back.It was an ongoing cycle. After 5 days he had not been given a bath or even seen a doctor. I finally had to go to the head nurse. If a person had no advocate they would just rot. Sorry to be so blunt but that's how it was. The rehab was excellent that's the only positive thing I have to say about the facility. Don't send your loved ones there they deserve better care than they will get.

My relative was just discharged from Brookside Multicare after 2 months of rehab following a stroke. He received great care and was always treated with respect. We really appreciate everything the staff did to make sure he felt comfortable during this process.
