"My mother is here. So far, they've been great. They've been very attentive, and they've been communicating regularly with myself and my mother's physicians. It's a million times better than the rehab she was at before she went there. They get to know their residents individually and personally and try to meet their needs. They're really good. I haven't been in her apartment because of COVID. They do daily exercises in a group setting, they go for coffee and ice cream afterwards in the little cafe that they have, and they have had several holiday-related activities. My mother chose not to participate in the gingerbread house making, but she goes to daily exercise and to coffee afterwards. They have a memory care unit, but she's in the assisted living. We're just happy that she's out of the rehab. It's a breath of fresh air."

"My mom moved into Bishop's Commons at St. Luke. It's a clean facility. The rooms are pretty decent in size. All the people are nice as far as the staff wise. She's got an apartment, and she's got 24-hour available care. The staff was friendly, courteous, and nice. They seem to be available whenever you need them. The food is decent. They do arts, crafts, games, and stuff like that. They go to the dining hall, and they get around on their own. But if they need help, that's what the people are there for. They have the nurses and staff there to help out."

"I will be moving into The Gardens down at Oswego, New York. I also happen to undergo my rehab there and it was good. They said they were going to get me ready they took a month, but they got me out of there. The facility itself was good, but the room for me was a little small. It was alright because I was only there temporarily. The staff was really good also, and the food was great."

"St. Francis Commons is excellent. I am very happy with the services. The security and maintenance are very good. My husband is living there now. The food and the dining area are excellent. Everything about the place is excellent, or I would not put him there. It is clean, neat, professionally ran, and close to home. They are taking good care of my husband. "

"My friend is now in Morningstar Residential Care Center in Oswego which is a rehabilitation facility. We are very impressed with the care that he has received while he's there. They're very attentive, they listen, and very open to working with the family and their specific needs. It's very clean, there's attention to detail when it comes to COVID and Omicron. We are very impressed with the hard work that's going into protecting the residents. The rooms are big and they each have their own TVs. You can feel like you have some sense of privacy in your room and they try to let each resident make their area like their own which is very nice. We have just been impressed, overall, with everything. There are both private and shared rooms. Our experience is only with the shared one at this point but they are also willing to work with you if you have an issue with the roommate. They are very open to listening to concerns and addressing any changes if needed. Every day there's a scheduled therapy for each wing and they have some kind of activity. They have an open room where I've seen residents playing games. They have bingo and stuff like that. They also have ice cream socials and there is always something scheduled. They're very flexible with the food and with the meals. If the resident cannot eat something due to a physical reason or does not like something, you are given other options so that is nice. It's extremely short-staffed right now, as is everywhere, and that being said, they are working so hard. Honestly, they have their hands full, but we have been very impressed just with everyone's level of stepping up."

"Back in November 2005 my grandfather was moved to Syracuse Home Association to live out his final days. He had been diagnosed with lung cancer and his condition was not improving. Since his wife had passed on in 2003, he was living alone and so we felt that the best place for him was at the Syracuse Home Association.Even though we were not able to be by his side all the time, Syracuse Home Association treated him very well and made sure he was always comfortable. They provided him with everything that he needed. Immediately after my grandfather made a request for something, it was immediately granted. I only visited the facility once, but what I saw made me feel assured and not worried at all with my grandfather being in the care of Syracuse Home Association. It is a very clean and positive environment, whether you are just a visitor or a resident.My parents and I no longer live up in New York, but I know if we did and if either one of my parents had to be put in a nursing home facility, without a doubt I would choose Syracuse Home Association for them!
