The sit-down meals are great. The facility is spacious, very clean and feels like home. Activities are another high point. I am surprised that I am saying this, but I have found my forever home."

"I am the daughter of a resident that has been in this facility for almost 6 years and i can honestly say that since the day she moved into the facility things have definitely became not so great .....the medical attention that my mom needed had been ignored on a couple of occasions they told my mother just recently in the last 2 months she didnt need an ambulance(i heard this myself) after my mom complaining of shoulder pain and shortness of breathe for 2 weeks and me making threats to the facility did they call an ambulance finally. And the outcome to that is that my mom almost lost her life behind the facilities lack of empathy.......my moms heart was failing at only 20 beats . so the pains in her shoulder when she would complain about it was mini heart attacks! For 2 weeks my moms needs were ignored even after my mom asked to be taken in ambulance.....and this isnt the only. Incident......fractured pelvis that was ignored for 3 weeks but thats a whole other paragraph....needles to say i am now working on getting my mom out....it once was a very nice place. . the food is limited there are barely any activities and those only include a wii game coloring sometimes bingo ....bed bugs clothing doesnt get returned most of time....i can go on and on.This is things not only has my mom told me but things i have heard and seen myself with how the staff and facility is ran from 6 years ago til present....."

"St. John's Meadows was nice. It was hard to learn your way around, but they had a pool and a woodshop, which were great. We had a meal there, and it was good. It was an ala carte thing. I had grilled cheese."

"We came for a tour for a family member. We ultimately didn't need placement but I was so impressed with the facility. We were greeted properly and everyone we passed said hello. The facility was clean and very well kept. The administrator also took the time to introduce herself. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking."

"Norton Place Home would have been my second choice for Dad. The staff was very nice and friendly. They had bingo, dances, outings, and all kinds of activities. The whole place looked very nice."

"My Mother has been living at RPH for about 5 years now. She lives on the 4th floor, the people with the greatest needs live on this floor. She has advanced Alzheimer's, which means she no longer recognizes her husband, myself, my siblings, her grandchildren or her great grandchildren. I have read some of the past reviews. When touring a facility it is hard to imagine what is important and what is not. I can tell you the food, the rooms, and the neighborhood are not important. The love and care ALL the staff show towards my Mother is what is truly important. This is NOT an easy job, and takes skilled and highly trained aides and nurses to deal with people with cognitive issues. But at RPH, they do it with ease. As for the food, my mother has gained 10 lbs since moving there, so she thinks the food is great. The building is old, the rooms are old, but "run down?" ... this seems a bit harsh… and “unsafe neighborhood”, this seems harsh as well. My mother thinks she's living in a 1st class hotel!"

"Wolk Manor Enriched Living Center is relatively small. They're very highly rated in the community. They have nice rooms and we liked the people that we interacted with. They provide mom with a small fridge and a microwave in her little kitchenette. The staff is friendly and they have some activities every day."

"They have renovated alot of the building. The brand new rooms look great and modern. The staff were all friendly and helpful. They have a big game room with pool tables, games and a seating area to watch movies. The hair salon there is great for my aunt who gets her hair done every month. "

"Cloverwood Senior Living's apartments are very upscale. The place is luxurious, beautiful, and well-decorated. They have a common room, a game room, and an eating area. The library that they have there is beautiful. I would go there in a minute if I could. All of that was nice. It's like a classy hotel. My friend lives in Cloverwood. They have an outdoor space, but I only saw it through a window, I didn't go out there."

"We liked Glenmere Assisted Living & Memory Care because of a couple of things. One was they had all the licenses we needed and then once a person needs to move to a nursing home level, that person would get priority at their nursing home facility. The other big factor was they'll accept Medicaid. The staff was great. They were very responsive and they had everything like all sorts of activities. They do gardening and they had a nice outdoor patio. The place seemed to have a lot of natural light. The rooms were nice and I liked the in-room ability to shower."

"Heather Heights was a very nice facility. The tour experience was very positive. It was a very clean facility. The residents seemed happy. There seemed to be good things to do. The staff seemed to be abundant. They did not seem to have a shortage of staff. It was well organized. The staff who gave us a tour was excellent. Everybody seemed to know her. Everybody seemed to interact with her in a positive fashion. She was very good. She showed us the cafeteria, and they had a menu. They had a physical fitness therapy room. They had a cool ice cream fountain kind of thing that was open in the afternoons. They had a hairdresser. The staff also showed us the rooms themselves, which seemed very neat, orderly, and clean. She said that they had bird feeders, so the residents could see and hear the birds through the front window. They had patio spaces where residents could sit outside in the spring and summertime, which we kind of liked."
