"Villa Capri Senior Apartments was very nice and modern. The drawback for my mother was that they had shared laundry facilities, and she didn't like that. They had too long hallways. It was a very nice place, but it just wasn't for my mom. They have a community room and an outdoor patio with grills and stuff like that. The staff who toured us was very nice. The facility was very clean and well decorated. They have an elevator."

"My dad is in Montabaur Heights. It is brand new and very close to us. The price is decent. It is like a cruise ship. It has a big dining room that he goes down to every day where he chooses his food. It has a spa, bistro, and a big community room on each floor. The rooms are beautiful. He has a two-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath apartment. It is a beautiful place, and the people are wonderful and very friendly. The food is fantastic. They have a cook from one of the country clubs, and it is like a high-class restaurant. They had a gym, an exercise room, all kinds of parties, and shuttles that take them shopping or to the bank. They are taking them to the casino on Friday. They have plenty for them to do."

"I've had a couple of meals at Villages at Unity. They were very nice. It was like going to a fancy restaurant. The rooms were very nice. Somebody comes in to do housekeeping once a week. The living room is very spacious. There's a little tiny den and a nice little porch. The kitchen is small but adequate, especially when people go to the dining room for meals. I like the location, and I like the size of the room. "

"I am a resident of Alpine Manor Home for Adults. My experience is good, and this is way less expensive than the other facility. In the afternoons, we always have something going on. We have a person in charge of activities, and we do everything from playing bingo to listening to music. We have these crazy instruments that we play. It's a lot of fun. We do a few things for exercise. We played games and cards. There's a good amount of things to do. They clean your room every day. There's a lot of gardens out there, so we get a lot of fresh food out of that in the summer, and it's better, but there's a lot of processed food and stuff."

"Modern and updated, cozy and comfortable apartments. Staff is very caring. Amazed at how good top notch the food is! My friend moved in recently and she LOVES IT!"

"Vinecroft assisted living looked like a good place to place a loved one. It had a lot of space and the equipment and general structure of the building looked modern and clean, rather than some very shady and dirty assisted living homes I had seen prior. The staff was very nice and pleasant, and most of the employees looked young (in their 20's). The food was not that good, but I have eaten worse! All in all, it was a good assisted living home, and definitely not the best, but still one of the better ones that I have ever seen "

"The size of the apartment at The Belvedere is 1300 square feet, which is good. The place is new, it's only four years old. It is very well maintained. They have several seating areas outside the apartments where groups can gather by a fireplace and couches. It almost has a hotel feel. They have a swimming pool, and a golf putting green. They have a coffee area. They have a large community area, which has a pool table and a couple of televisions. They have painting classes and a crafts room. It has the convenience of elevators, and the place has a very pleasant atmosphere."

"Brickstone is a wonderful community, very high end and reasonably new. It does not provide meals so you have to go to a restaurant to get meals or you have to cook your own, so it's really made for an active living community. It has high-end and very well-appointed apartments. The staff was very nice. One thing that I saw that I appreciated was there were a lot of people out walking and smiling happily and the person I was with knew the name of everybody we saw and talked to them. It's very, very impressive. I have seen other places where people are not smiling all the time but in this place, they are, both the residents and staff. It's a very warm, comforting community. They have a variety of apartments, and they also have separate cottages. I did not see the cottages except from the outside though. They have a lot going on. There's a swimming pool, which the residents of the other St. John's facilities can go over and use. They use the swimming pool also for physical therapy as well as swimming. They have shuttle services that come in, they have buses to send residents to shopping and to the symphony and plays. They have a well-organized set of activities. Brickstone is really nice, but it's also expensive."

"St. John's Meadows is mostly independent. There is the part that's assisted but not much. I have an apartment that is a fairly good size and I cook my own meals. I don't go down for dinner. They have a lot of activities, bridge, euchre, all sorts of things. I have not participated too much because I haven't been here very long. It's a very nice place. The people are friendly here. If you have any questions about anything, they certainly are willing to answer and it's a very nice facility all around. "

"My apartment here at StoneGate of Clarence is large. I have a garage attached. There's a clubhouse. There are donuts every Wednesday. There's breakfast every Friday. There's an exercise room and a game room. The food is OK."

"We really liked Transit Pointe as they have a lot of activities for people to do. They were very kind to everybody there. You could really see that they took good care of people. The apartments were super clean and very nice. They were very old people but still kicking. The food was fine; they even had chefs. They have the list of activities in the community room and they had a lot of things to do. The only negative thing was the price. It was a little high. "

"Seneca Towers is fine and I like the privacy they offer. However, before I moved in, I told them I don't want a place over sixth floor because that's the limit of the fire department ladder, but still they put me on the 20th floor. Their elevators are small and it would take 10 minutes to go 20 floors. I have to do my laundry at 4:30 in the morning because that is the only time I can make use of the elevator. It is during this time that there were less people using it. The neighborhood surrounding Seneca Towers is terrible. It is almost like an inner city environment. I'm not happy with it at all. "

"I visited Brompton Heights on and off quite frequently when a good friend of mine was there. The physical facility was nice. The people were very accommodating. I had three or four relatives and friends there, and I was always impressed with it. "
