"The rooms are big and clean, Each room has their own bathroom and shower area. The nursing staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable. They care for the residents in the memory care unit and have patience with the relatives who do not really understand the time and work it takes to take proper care of the resident. The food is great, They have many activities for the residents from music sing along to bingo and sit-down exercises. There is lots of space for the residences to walk without bumping into one another. There is a garden for them to seat and relax. Lots of windows for bird watching"

"I am in Turtle Creek, and I have been here for 4 years. I am staying in what they call a luxury apartment. However, there are no garbage disposals. As far as a water heater, we called it a community water heater. I am told there are two water heaters, one at each end of the building, but it is hard to regulate the water when taking a shower. They can improve on the water heater and the garbage disposal. The environment is pretty good. They do have things going on, like card games during the week, and the people are friendly. The transportation isn't really that good. Once a week, they go grocery shopping from 9:30 to 12:00, and going to doctor's appointments is on the same day in the afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00, but my doctor's office is close. So I don't use the transportation for doctor's appointment. Every once in a while, they go on outings. "

"I liked Crestmount Square Senior Apartments. It was a very nice tour. It had a nice layout, and it was in a nice location. I was pretty happy with it at the time. The staff was very friendly, very informative, and showed me around one or two of the apartments so I could see the inside. She was very helpful. It looked homey. It had no institutional look at all to it. It was a nice, modern facility, very clean, very up-to-date, and in nice location at the end of the road, so it was quiet. They offered a lot of things there. I was very impressed with it."

"I was a resident of Meyer Pointe Senior Apartments. It was okay. There was a change in management and that's when I got a little turned off with it because the new manager was so rigid. He didn't talk to people and the office was closed a lot. Whereas the first manager was very courteous, open-minded, and pleasant. My sister was living with me at that time. It was enjoyable, and even though I didn't partake in a lot of the extracurricular activities, my sister did. It was nice and secure. Our visitors have to buzz to be let in. We had a washer and dryer in our apartment and two full bathrooms. The square footage could have been a little bit bigger. The price started going up and up. With me being in and out of the hospital as much as I was, and my sister being as elderly as she was, my son didn't necessarily have the time to go in and help reorganize my bedroom. So some of the deliveries I would get just ended up in the living room. So, it made it a little cluttered, and that's why we were asked to leave because it was cluttered. It is starting to be more trouble than it's worth. The residents that lived there were very nice, and if we called for maintenance to fix something, they came easily within the day. We were on the ground floor, and for a while there, we were plagued with ants. We had to be very careful with ants, and it was a relatively new building."

"I liked Asbury Pointe. It was very nice and clean. We met just the one admissions lady and she was very nice. There were lots of parking. The apartment was updated. They had just put in new carpeting and painted, so it was nice. It had a little refrigerator and a little kitchenette because it was the independent living part. The dining room was very nice with tablecloths on the tables. They got to order off the menu. There was a gym, a library, a hair salon, and a covered gazebo."

"Saint Timothy Park Villa overlooks rolling fields and hills for about a mile, so the views are very nice and the lights are nice. It is a relatively modern facility, long and low. It is not a very large facility, and I find it to be a satisfactory place to live. It has a small church nearby which would be nice for Catholics to be able to just walk to church whenever they want to. The staff who gave me the tour was very well-informed and very helpful."

"I toured Mount St. Mary's Senior Residence and I find it clean and well-run. It is an older building, but it has charm. I saw a 1-bedroom apartment about 600 to 650 square feet which are quite large, and it is sufficient for one person. It has a kitchenette with an oven range and a refrigerator. It is a beautiful building, it's a converted convent. But the parking lot out back is sort of crowded. It didn't have a nice view from the back, but from the front and the sides, it's got a lovely view. The staff is very responsive, and I find it to be a very friendly place. I like it because of its historic look both inside and out. It has a chapel, which I like. It is also a very quiet place."

"I'm staying at the Brighton Square Senior Apartments in Tonawanda. It's an independent living apartment and it's close to home. It's just very convenient. If you need anything done, there's always help available. The staff is very nice and very cooperative. I make my own meals. There are handrails all over the place, inside and outside of your apartment. There's a salon and a courtyard. The bathroom is handicapped-accessible too. The shower is just a complete walk-in and flat with the floor. The upkeep is excellent. My family doctor is just down the road and I'm close to shopping if I need it so it's just a really good central place to be."

"We really liked Transit Pointe as they have a lot of activities for people to do. They were very kind to everybody there. You could really see that they took good care of people. The apartments were super clean and very nice. They were very old people but still kicking. The food was fine; they even had chefs. They have the list of activities in the community room and they had a lot of things to do. The only negative thing was the price. It was a little high. "

"I toured Brompton Heights Located in Williamsville. We're looking for respite options for my mom. Not all places catered to respite, to the short-term stay, they were one of them, and their price was the deciding factor. The staff member was phenomenal, she was very helpful, and she was very friendly, and knowledgeable. Everything was in order, it was a very nice facility, clean, and well kept. The rooms were very well done, she did take me into two different sample rooms, and they were very, very nice. The dining room was nice too. They had a courtyard. It was available and open for my needs. It suited my needs."

"I visited Canterbury Woods. It's a long-term care, and I would be able to use my long-term care insurance. They had 24/7 security there at the desk. Nurses are there in case you get sick or ill. They have assisted living, independent living apartments and they have like a rehab, in case you're not well, you may go with assisted living, and if you do better maybe move on to independent living, and then if you happen to feel ill, they do have a rehab facility among their list. And you have the usual long-term care insurance so that's not that costly. And they have their nurses there. And the security round the clock. I'm on their list. They told me to come back when I'm about 75, even though they have the 55+ community. Now, I can check in to my long-term care policy. They cost more because they provide all the meals, the transportation to medical appointments, they have the services where they go on trips and they take you full shopping. It's a new facility and just opened in 2020. I toured it yesterday. It's very nice and I liked it. I would say more than a place I am now. You can't get pass through it. You would have to go pass the security to get in. I also get a tour about a year ago. Definitely nice. I had a lunch there and the food was delicious. I can't get to remember what we had but it's kinda like gourmet food. What they do if they had tours and they did have the food provide ten people and they invite you to lunch, and you see the facility. They were very wonderful. The dining area is very beautiful. It's very, very beautiful. But that one would be in my future. And I'm just on that list. And I would have to check to my long-term care insurance, that would be in the future. But I'm looking for something more temporary, so I can get my medical need, cause I got reported because I've been missing a lot of medical appointments. The Canterbury Woods Gates Circle is a part of a continuum of care, where they have assisted living there, they had independent living, and if you happen to get ill, there is a rehab for you, so you buy into a continuum of care and they alter your cost you might need assisted living if you require nursing care, and then you may get well and go to independent living. Canterbury Woods is like a 70-80 group. I won't fit in there at this time."

"My apartment here at StoneGate of Clarence is large. I have a garage attached. There's a clubhouse. There are donuts every Wednesday. There's breakfast every Friday. There's an exercise room and a game room. The food is OK."

"Timon Towers Apartments is a modern high-rise located in a very nice neighborhood. The apartments are a little bit on the small side. It has a kitchenette with an oven range and a refrigerator. It is a busy place with a lot of medical personnel coming and going all the time. It has outdoor parking. The place is clean and very well managed, given the fact that it is a busy place. There are common areas and they are quite large, but there's nobody there. The books on the bookshelf looked like they had been there for years and years. The staff who gave me the tour was very professional and was able to answer every question I had."
