"Recently we had to make the tough decision that our mother can no longer safely live in her home by herself. The transition into a senior living facility was worrisome to all of us. “Joy” welcomed us with open arms on our tour with mom. She took the time to answer our many questions we had, and was extremely patient with us. The staff was very welcoming, and friendly. Mom once even said on the tour “everyone is so nice here”. The food Looked top notch comparing to the other places we visited… that looked like cafeteria style. Our family feels at ease knowing she’s moving into a place that she’s happy with and safe. "

"Elderwood Village at Williamsville was excellent in every capacity. They had many activities. They started the day with stretch and go. They had all kinds of card games and bingo. They had walking tours. They had entertainment of all kinds at least once a week with bands coming in, singers, and performers of many kinds. I was able to try their food. On the day that my sister was admitted, we were treated to lunch. The food was excellent. I had no complaint. "

"I liked Tennyson Court. It was a small, comfortable setting, and it's all one level which is important. It just seemed very homey, and it was a standalone place, so it wasn't a chain. Everybody I ran into has worked there for 10 or 12 years which to me seems like a testament that they're doing something right, and staff must be happy which means they do a good job. "

"I was very impressed with the quality of this assisted living facility. My grandmother said she liked it there as well. They gave out snacks for her to enjoy while we were there. They also had a game room where she could go to hang out with other people living there. Each room had a television with full cable, which was more than my grandmother could ask for, she was used to just having the rabbit ears. They also had a shuttle service that would take people to doctor's appointments or grocery stores if needed. The nurses were very friendly as well. They would frequently check up on my grandmother but left us alone for the most part while we were visiting. The nurses actually got to know their patients; they would talk to them and play games with them. I also liked that there were aids that came around to clean. This happened often which really helped to make the entire facility clean and look nice. "

"Peregrine Senior Living at Cheektowaga was very nice, very clean, and very well warm. All the people there were very nice. It was a nice place, it's just it was a little further out of the way for us. The staff was very helpful. They went through everything and explained everything like how the facility works, the activities, the meals, and the living quarters. They were very nice. It was a very nice place. They have a lot of activities for the elderly there to keep them busy and keep their minds going and all that. They have activities for them. They had some kind of exercise classes, and they had arts and crafts and stuff like that. The dining area was very nice and very homey. They had choices for them. The place was very clean, and all the room quarters were nice."

"The staff were very nice and informative at Elderwood. They do a lot for you. It seemed like a really nice place. The rooms were small, but they were nice. They do have a lot of activities. They have bingo and game rooms. They have different card games. They have a nurse and a doctor that comes in once a month. They do a lot. They take them shopping and to their doctor's visit; it's just a nice place. "

"Mom will be moving in to Elderwood next. We chose this facility because it was all inclusive as far as meals and so on and so forth. It was very clean with no smells. It had a very nice staff, and it was affordable. If she should need to go into a nursing home later on, they take care of all that. It is one block from my house. My mother loved the Victorian décor. They have a happy hour, and they play bingo. They have all kinds of games, and they take them on outings. They might go to the local casino, on shopping trips, and things like that. They do arts and crafts too. The only reason I didn’t give them the highest score is because it is expensive, and the room is very small. "

"We are very happy with what we've seen in Wheatfield Commons so far. The staff members are very attentive and they know what they're doing. We've had no issues whatsoever. It's a new senior place and it looks aesthetically pleasing, very clean, and well-maintained. It's also easy for the patients to get around in because of the way it's laid out, so I 'm very happy with that. They have a beautiful garden outside that they're putting in now since it's already spring. We like everything so far."

"Mount View's rooms were private and well-kept. The staff was more hands-off. The dining area was very nice, like a '50s diner, and they had a nice garden with a gazebo. It was an old hospital, but it was well-maintained."

"Weinberg Campus is place and it's in a nice location. The staff is very friendly, but of course I'm beginning to realize they are trying to sell a room. The place was very bright and it had a lot of windows. It also had a lot of nice little lounge area, but they are just expensive. "

"Weinberg Campus is the only one I've visited that would do short-term respite care. There was nothing I liked the least about it. When I walked in there, it was very bright, very, very clean, and there's someone at the front door. The clients were all sitting around outside on a bench there, looking out the window. I feel like it was a nice, secure area at the same time because there were staff and their clients right there. So all of that was very nice. The rooms were a good size, everything else was very nice, very clean. It's very close to the Audubon's Parkway. The staff seems attentive and there seemed to be quite a few of them. It's a multiple-stage unit, it has different stages of care. It's very clean, well-lit, and well-staffed."

"Facility has a variety of sizes for rooms and many common areas for residents to use. The activities department is top notch and are constantly adding new outings, entertainer’s, and requesting feed back from residents. A lot of staff have been there for years and are very kind, compassionate, and helpful in answering questions. The building was built many years ago but has had many improvements and seems to continually update to try to have a home environment. I know many people that have visited the facility years ago and that recently visited again and have been astonished by the numerous changes and improvements. I live locally and can tell you that the community is amazing and so many in the community look out for the residents and give there time to letting the residents feel valued and loved. This is a must see. If you have not visited for a tour you are missing out."

"This place was pretty nice aside from a few things. The staff was very kind and courteous and was very patient with my grandmother since she doesn't walk very well and is very slow. The took the time to answer all of our questions and even offered to allow her a trial visit. My grandmother ultimately decided upon another place because some of the residents there were very rude and unwelcoming. I believe it was because the room she would have taken previously belonged to a long time resident there, and they felt uncomfortable by the change. "
