"Danbury in Mentor was bright and cheerful. They had a couple of fun little things there, like a fish tank on one floor and another floor where they have little birds in a cage kind of thing, which I think would be great for seniors to take a peek and look at. There were just a lot of little spaces and things for people to do too. Jessica was really pleasant. She was a very nice young lady and upbeat. The others were also pleasant. The rooms were nice and comfortable. They had a little kitchenette area for my dad if he wanted to make a coffee pot or something like that, which is nice. They had mailboxes on the outside of the doors, which I thought were so clever too. It's like you got your own little house there, where you have a mailbox and people could get their own mail. That was cute. I was impressed with the facility."

"My brother is in Country Club Rehabilitation Campus at Ashtabula. He's in assisted living. He seems to be acclimating well there. The caretakers are professional and they're good from what I can see. The meals are pretty well balanced. There's fruit and vegetables in each meal. The lunch meal is a little bigger than the dinner. The place looks clean. There's physical therapy there. It looks like it's working pretty well. He has a smaller room and that's clean. They have apartment type rooms and then a smaller one for assisted living. There's some furniture in there like beds and cabinets and a good-sized bathroom. There's also a refrigerator in there. Everybody gets a medallion. You push the button if you need help and that seems to work. They come pretty quickly when you push the button. They have a television and individual heating and air-conditioning in each unit. There may be a couple of courtyards. There are several areas indoors, some sitting areas, and there are books, games, TVs, and stuff. There's another area where they have a pool table. They had a karaoke group, and they have religious services. The dining areas were a restaurant type of thing. You can get the daily special, which is a pretty balanced meal, or you could order something separate, like if you want to have pizza or something you can order that ahead of time and then it'll be ready for you. If you're able to get out of your room, you can find some places to go and relax if you wanted to."

"It was a lot bigger than other places, but it didn't seem as homey. It was a lot more clinical than it was at the other community. I believe we would have to bring our own furniture."

"Wow! This community was spectacular! Being brand new, everything is top notch! Atmosphere was calm yet spirited! The most beautiful community I've been to yet! The food was prepared by a chef with top skills in presentation and taste! The staff were all welcoming and genuine. I left feeling renewed and hopeful. Prices were lower than I would ever expected for such an amazing location! Definitely top of my list!"

"My mother is in Thistle House Senior Living and it's wonderful. The staff is amazing, they're really good, and my mom is so happy there. The rooms are gorgeous, very spacious, senior friendly, and clean. It's a brand-new place and it's wonderful. They're working on the activities, they have chair yoga for the residents, and they went on an outing last night. They have a nurse practitioner that's goes in there any time of day and night if there's an issue. They're getting more and more things going. They do arts and crafts, and someone comes in that's like a memory care team. I have been there while they were preparing the food. They have a chef on hand and I watched him making some incredible dishes. My mom said everything is really good and all made fresh. My brother was there once when they were serving dinner and he says it looked amazing. She's doing a lot with them, and she's doing more than she'd be doing at home. She's already had physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and she's gone on outings. They've done a lot already. The staff and the owners are amazing. It's wonderful. It's brand-new so there are still vacancies."

"The rooms are bright and cheerful with lots of storage. The open design made it easy to socialize with company and having a patio was so nice to watch the birds or just get fresh air. The staff however is what makes this place special- not just kind , upbeat and loving while remaining professional. There are no hidden cost so it is affordable and located with easy access to everything! This is by far the best place for seniors. "
