"Had a loved one in this facility a few years back and it was a very nice place... But now A very mixed bag. Some staff are attentive and do the work while others do not. Don't count on the social workers to give you the information you need. One was really good and the other not so much. Evening assistance is poor at best. Even if a superior tells you that something will be done... Don't count on it, keep an eye on things. I do not think the right hand knows what the left hand is doing!!!"

"I would recommend Homestead II to anybody. The whole experience for my husband and myself was wonderful. The staff was very caring and kind-hearted. Everybody from the office staff down to the kitchen staff was just so helpful and I felt comfortable with everything they did. If I was visiting my husband during mealtime, they always provided me a tray and it was always good. It was really good. The dietitians were up on things on what kind of food the patients needed. I thought the food was terrific. The building itself is really old. It's not in disrepair. It's just that it's an older building, so you would have to expect that it's not going to be bright, shiny new. They keep the patients very busy. The patients love Bingo. There was a library. They had an area in front of the nurse's station with a big TV. So, a lot of patients like to do that."

"My dad was admitted here after major surgery in Nov 2013. I cannot say enough how wonderful the nursing staff, physical therapy team and the administration are at this facility! The nurses and staff provide such personalized treatment and are always so helpful, attentive and go far from the what is expected of them to help and heal. The facility is such a friendly, clean, welcoming place and I have never worried for a moment that my dad is not getting the care he needs and deserves. It gives my family great comfort to know that at any time we can call and get in touch with the nursing staff and they are more than willing to answer all our many questions and give us an update on his progress and condition. "My grandma and grandpa were both at Heartland of Willoughby (which used to be Manor Care Willoughby) and I was very pleased with their care. They received great care from the nurses and nursing assistants, their room was clean, the building did not smell at all and was clean, and everyone was very nice. I would recommend Heartland of Willoughby! "

"Breckenridge Continuing Care Community is a beautiful facility with very well kept grounds. The staff is professional and accommodating. While the price of the assisted living is quite steep, the service provided by Breckenridge is like none other. It is comparable in price to other assisted living facilities in the area, many of which do not have the positive reputation that Breckenridge has. The grounds appear to be park-like even though it is nestled in a suburban city. The food was very good though it cannot compare to home cooking. A wide variety of stores are easily accessible from the campus. Breckenridge Village, owned by Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services, also owns a home health care company called Senior Independence, for those individuals who are in need of physical therapy after a rehab stay, which is well known in the area for providing superior service as well. Breckenridge Village also has the benefit of being a Continuing Care Retirement Community which offers a range of services depending on the individuals needs. As the individual ages, they have the ability to "age in place" from Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Nursing care. All in all, it was a pleasant visit and I would definitely recommend Breckenridge Village to my clients. Their long wait list is proof of their desirability in this area! "

"I had stayed at this facility for 16 1/2 months and most of the time the nurses and assistant nurses did a good job. Unfortunately there is a big turnover with employees and it’s hard to find good help, but the ones who have been their along time are very good. Rooms were clean and lots of activities to do and the food was good most of the time."

"My mother-in-law was in Mapleview Country Villa. It seemed like a nice place, everybody was friendly, and they were concerned about her. She had rehab there, and when she had some other issues going on they tended to that too. The facility was clean and was set up very nicely. The staff that I interacted with was very good. She did some physical and some occupational therapy there."

"Wickliffe Country Place's people were very friendly. The facility was a little older, but it was clean. The food smelled good and all the patients seemed to be OK, smiling, and happy, so that's a good thing. The rooms were very small and not private. Two people in there would be too small. The location is right off the freeway and the grounds were well kept. They had a nice area for people to go outside and enjoy fresh air. "

"My sister-in-law is at Grande Pointe Healthcare Community. She seems happy there and they always make sure that she takes her medicine wherever she goes. The only thing is they don't have private rooms. She's in a room with another lady. She's in a locked unit, but the people there are very nice. Today, a podiatrist is coming for her, so I think they take good care of her. It's hard to get used to institutional food, but she eats about two-thirds of her food. The people who work there seem very nice, friendly, and smiling too. I like them. It's clean and it doesn't smell bad. We had a family conference with about six of the head departments, and I thought that was very nice of them to be there."
