My visit at Hamlet at Chagrin Falls was kind of brief. It seemed to be a really nice facility. They have a facility called the Atrium. I guess that has everything on one site where they can eat and watch TV and fellowship. I didn't have much interaction with the staff. They did have a library, which I thought was nice. I didn't see a gym. The unit was clean. I liked the area that it's in, Chagrin Falls, and it's a very nice city. The buildings are a little older. I think it could use some modernization. It felt like a senior institution.

I will be moving into Hamlet at Chagrin Falls. It's a very attractive place. The people are very, very friendly. The buildings themselves are well maintained. They had a very nice dining room. It's nice overall. The food is very good. The sales manager, Nadine, answered all my questions, was very personable, and very helpful throughout this thing. They have activities every hour throughout every day, and it's posted on a whiteboard as you go into the dining room. I met a lot of staff and they're all very nice and very professional.

The tour I had in Hamlet at Chagrin Falls was great. The person there was really nice. She took us through all the building. She told us what we could change. She took us through two different suites in two different locations on the property, and she was very helpful. It was definitely within the budget we were looking in, which was great. The view was really, really pretty. I liked the location, but my mother was looking for very specific things, and I don't think she's going to find it in any facility.

We visited Hamlet at Chagrin Falls. The only problem with the place was a matter of location and access to the dining room because it was separate from the living facilities. The staff who gave us the tour was Natalie, she was wonderful. I had to go up a flight of steps, which was not exactly my cup of tea. They had no elevator. The room there was wonderful, it was beautiful. The apartment that we looked at was very, very well-kept, and the landscaping around the patios and driveways was very well-kept.

Hamlet at Chagrin Falls was very nice. People were caring and they had a lot of activities going on. That would be the best place for my parents if we went. They would have their own apartment. Everything was kept clean and the carpet looked nice.

I went to Hamlet at Chagrin Falls. Everything was very nice. The only issue we had was the distance. Everything was clean. The people were very friendly. It looks like everything was so well organized. I'm a big person when it comes to cleanliness, and I have to emphasize it was very clean. Everything was decorated and very pleasing to the eye. Nothing that I found that disinterests me. The only issue we had was the distance as far as traveling back and forth with my family and my mother is still alive, so we try to still help her. The staff was friendly and very informative. The dining room was very nice, very clean, and nicely decorated. It was a relaxing atmosphere and it was spacious. They had a salon, an exercise area, and an activities area. They offer different activities. It was very well organized. It's a place where you could go and you don't have to go away to get anything done. They supply everything.

The rooms at Hamlet at Chagrin Falls were spacious. It was clean. There appeared to be a full schedule of activity options for the residents. I got to view a model room, and the facility was bright and cheery. They had cards and bingo. They're very good. I only got to meet two people and they were very friendly, polite and knowledgeable. The outside looked like a nice green area, kind of in nature.

I did a tour of the Hamlet at Chagrin Falls. It was very clean and very well kept up. It's geared more towards independent seniors. You have assistance available for those who need a little bit more assistance in their daily lives. They have an awful lot of activities, and they have therapy that can be scheduled. They have a dining hall available, and they have a lot of road trips. They have regular trips to shopping, drugstores, and dinners out. They have a library, and they have a salon. They lock in the price that they enter into and that will be their rent for the duration of their stay.

I loved what I saw in Hamlet at Chagrin Falls. I saw people actually doing stuff, meaning the actual residents. I saw them actually participating in programs, participating in therapy, getting out in the atrium, waving at people as they walked by their room. There is an area where the carpet has split in a main area, which especially for those who have walkers or have a hard time walking because, like my stepmom, have Parkinson's. Not having that taken care of immediately to me is a safety concern. But as far as what I saw, and the friendliness, not just of the staff, of the residents that were there, kind of let me know that the residents that live there actually are extremely happy with being there. I don't know if it's also because it's a wooded environment, it's a nice tucked away little place that's kind of in nature, which is pretty nice. So it's a nice place. I actually like it. We had a receptionist when we came through, and I don't know if it was due to race, but as soon as we came through, she said, "Oh, are you the aides?" And we're like, "No, we're here to tour the facility," so just being conscientious of, you know, each person that comes to the door as a person and, you know, just checking in with them. "Hello, how may I help you? What can I help you with?" versus, are you the aides? So that was one of the things that actually was something that my younger sister kind of was a little offended by. We saw one unit that was completely done, the other one wasn't. We were told initially that someone had just moved out and the family was still getting a few things out, but they wanted us to be able to see the unit just because of the fact that it would be available. If that was a unit that they chose to take, the parents could pick their colors, decide if they want flooring or if they want carpeting or whatever would work for them. So actually, it was a very nice unit, and actually it wasn't horrible for someone just moving out. It wasn't bad. We were given a little treat, which was really good. It was kind of like a dessert type of treat, so that was nice, and something to drink.

We haven't been able to visit our friends in over a year because of the coronavirus and everything being locked down. Today we were able to visit them inside for the first time. They looked great! The Atrium looked and smelled amazing! The staff treated us like royalty coming in. They screened us at the door and made sure we were safe to come in but it was very pleasant. Our friends said Hamlet did a marvelous job at keeping them and everyone safe and active during this past years lock down. I can't tell you enough how pleased I am to hear this. Thank you Hamlet! It was hard to not be able to come in and see for ourselves but you did an excellent job! And I hear your food has greatly improved. We are looking forward to eating in the restaurant again once you open it for visitors.

My grandfather lived here the last year of his life and absolutely loved it. We enjoyed visiting him here as he really felt like it was his home and it brought him a lot of happiness. I will forever be grateful for this place and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place for elderly to live.

My dad has the one bedroom apt in independent living and absolutely loves it! The kitchen is the perfect size. Bathroom is so easy to use. One of his extremely large wall of windows he lovingly calls it his living mural of beautiful trees and woods. The staff is amazing. They are so helpful when I need anything. He LOVES to walk all over the property. He had a garden plot last summer and had great veggies!

I have lived in Independent Living in this community for 10 years. We have new owners as of a couple of years ago. They are dedicated to all the facilities - just like ours - which they own and manage. We have a brilliant Exec. Dir. who is beautiful, soft-spoken, attentive, cordial, all the better things. And, she has a spine of forged steel! Her directives are given. They are followed/obeyed. Those employees who might choose to be lax, are 'gone'. Period. Morale is very good. Everyone knows what is expected of them, and they perform with pleasant good humor and efficiency.

We encouraged our parents to live there to enrich and ease their lives, however, the whole time became a matter of addressing one problem or another. There were a few aids we felt we could trust their care but not all Response time was poor The food is VERY poor: canned, frozen, overcooked Our parents were there almost one year and every day there was something regarding our parents that needed our attention and intervention with one or more of the departments. The only department working smoothly was Activities. I would NOT recommend this facility!

Mom moved in for about a month at Hamlet Village. It’s like a little village with independent living, apartments, an assisted living area, and a nursing home. It’s a 47-acre property in a little, cute area in Chagrin Falls that's wooded and beautiful. My mom lives in the assisted living that's built with a large atrium in the middle. They have tons of activities, and she said the food is great. She really likes it. The first time we visited, she said it was perfect.

Hamlet Village is a very nice facility, but it did not fit our needs. It was too big and spread out. I saw one receptionist interacting with a resident in the lobby.

Dont be fooled by the beautiful neighborhood surrounding this establishment. There staff is beyond disgusting. I had to call the police to do a well check because even after paging the nurses station because of her pain and then sitting in her feces. The staff laughing and making jokes outside her door as my mother was crying yelling for help. This place is a disgrace for patient care!

Hamlet Manor has a good many devoted, caring "low level" employees, but the administration is for the birds -- is autocratic and only interested in quick, superficial solutions to complex issues that leaves me, as a family member, stupified. It is in a pretty setting, but the building is really outdated and the resources to do things like have doors to the outside that open automatically and accommodate wheelchairs apparently aren't available. In the time I have been going there, it has been getting worse, not better.

This facility is one of many in our area. It was a little out of my family's price range, but I must say it was impressive. The grounds are kept rather immaculately and the entire facility is more of a campus for assisted care and apartments for self-sufficient retirees. We visited two times, both random open door invitations where we found a friendly staff all around, a piano player for the dinner meals, and a very caring staff. I think it goes back to the fact that you're paying for this kind of quality, but they were straightforward about costs and looked into every avenue of how my grandfather's insurance plan might be utilized. A friend of ours has put both of his parents here at separate times and gave us the recommendation. He told us some of his fondest memories were getting to walk around the area with his father, which is located very closely to a village town with many shops, parks, and waterfalls. A great way to retire, and, again, costly and impressive.
