"I will be moving into Vitalia Senior Residences at Stow today. It's just 7 minutes from my house. I looked into their assisted living, but they didn't have a 1-bedroom apartment. I had to bring my dog and just a studio room would not be enough. We decided that independent living would be perfect for me. It's very nice, and the apartment is perfect. It's a 2-bedroom with 2 bathrooms, a living room, and a nice kitchen. They have a laundry room and a closet; it's just perfect. The staff were very nice and accommodating during my tour. They have a swimming pool for independent living. If you're in assisted living, you have to have a doctor's order to do that. They have a dining room that's open all day. It's just a lovely setting. I have a little patio, and it looks out to the woods."

"I cannot say enough good things about Danbury Tallmadge. When walking in the front doors the front desk staff are always very friendly and helpful. The individuals that provide the laundry service and housekeeping know my mom well and work around her schedule and needs. The dining staff knows each resident by name and is very patient and helpful. The maintenance staff have always helped when asked if something is needed. The recreation staff has activities planned each day and really knows each individual. The nursing and aide staff are busy but respond to my mom and provide care as needed. We switched to the doctors Danbury offers and have had very positive experiences-they always call me each time they are with my mom if I can't be present. Danbury is my mom's home and as family we all feel very welcome. They have multiple rooms we have signed out for family gatherings. They host events to include families. There is always so much activity going on and so many visitors coming and going each day. I could not imagine my mom anywhere else."

"Everyone at Mulberry Gardens Senior Living seemed quite friendly. Since there are two of us, the larger apartments were more appealing. We're kind of picky on the food, and I would like maybe a step up in the food. It wasn't the type of food that we normally eat. The staff member who gave us the tour tried to answer all of our questions as we asked them."

"I went to Eden Vista of Stow. We liked that it looked clean and homey, not like a big, fancy hotel. The apartments had a living area, a kitchen area, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The person who took us around was very friendly and very informative."

"The Echelon of Medina was great. It is a wonderful place. My husband was there for about three months. The facility is extremely friendly. They promote socialization. Meals are not served in the rooms, and you go down to a dining room, so you're socializing with people. The physical therapy was great there. The rooms are spotless and very, very clean. The facility itself is very clean. They had several things. They could go out and play pool, they played bingo, and they have a beautiful sitting area downstairs with a fireplace. You can go down and sit, read books, play games or cards, and things like that. The facility is simply 100%. Everything there was immaculate. The food was awesome. They don't do any pre-prepared meals and they cook everything. They have chefs there. I ate dinner with my husband twice and it cost me $5. The food was as good as what you would get in a nice restaurant."

"My mother is moving into Danbury Brunswick. I checked out the other facility and thought it was great, but I came down and checked out Danbury on the advice of a neighbor. There's so much more to do and so many more activities. It's cleaner. The staff is amazing. Everything is just so much better. I love my mother more than anything on earth. I didn't want anything but the best for her. Even wheelchairing my mom around, she smiled and said, "You know, this place is so much nicer. I think I'm gonna love it here." When I heard that, I was just so pleased. She has a studio apartment. That was something that I inspected from top to bottom. It was absolutely spotless. Everyone was informative, knowledgeable, very respectful and friendly. They have everything. They have a library and a common area and they're really set up nice. They have patios outside. The place has got so much. It's amazing. We had lunch today and based upon that one meal, it's obvious that the food is homemade. It's not something that comes out of a jar or a bag. I saw on the calendar that there was fresh homemade tomato soup."

"My mother has been a resident at Danbury in Hudson for 4 months now since needing more care and assistance with medications. She was previously in Springwood, the sister facility for independent living. The transition to Danbury was easy and well-managed by the staff and administration. The staff (nurses, care-givers, dining, maintenance, and front desk/office) have been simply OUTSTANDING. I really can't say enough about how friendly and kind every single person has been to my mom. My sister and I rest much easier knowing she's getting the care and attention she needs. The activities are frequent and varied. In hindsight for my mom wishes she had moved to Danbury sooner. My sister and I advocated for it but mom was too happy with her apartment and friends at Springwood. If she had moved a bit sooner, she would have had an easier time getting into all the activities and options available. The other residents are all friendly and welcoming. The facilities are quite lovely. The common spaces allow for plenty of space to visit with friends and family. The rooms vary in size and most tend to be on the smaller side. That worried mom at first, but her studio apartment is set up quite nicely for her needs and she's quite happy with it. I think the food is above average for an assisted living facility. I like it. The combination of the dining room plus a mix of happy hours, mixers, ice cream Sunday bars, etc. provide good variety. I'll repeat the most important part, the staff, especially the nurses, care-givers and dining staff, are so welcoming, kind, and helpful. It's truly impressive to see, and I'm very thankful."

"Vitalia Active Adult Community at North Royalton was beautiful. We toured the whole place and saw the assisted living and memory care. It was all brand new, and everyone was very helpful and very informative. We had one girl that gave us a tour, and two girls that sat down with us for a meeting for about an hour. They were all very knowledgeable and very friendly. The apartments looked like they would accommodate the residents nicely. Their dining area was also very nice."

"The room at Mt. Alverna Village was a little bit small, and it was very expensive. Once you move up to memory care, it would be way out of our budget. The food tasted better than some other places. I saw the independent living, but they had assisted living in the same building. The staff was very knowledgeable and thorough. It was a good facility."
