My husband and I have a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment. We have a living room with kitchenette sporting a full-size stove and refrigerator. We also have a balcony. We were drawn to Danbury because of the friendly, welcoming residents. A healthy mixture of single men and women as well as several couples were evident at lunch in the dining room. My husband will tell you we moved so he could attend the weekly Happy Hour! We enjoy the efforts of the Life Enrichment Team making a variety of activities available. We enjoy going out for lunch or to a concert on the Danbury bus. The quality of the entertainment and speakers has been very good. We occasionally paint or make a craft. I enjoy the Book Club and playing Mahjong. These are only a few of the plethora of activities to choose from. Dining is a treat at Danbury. You can eat any time and have lots of tasty food to choose from. Breakfast, salads and sandwiches anytime as well as specials offered every day. The friendly wait staff soon got to know us by name and brings our drinks when they come to take our order. The dining room is the social hub of Danbury. It is where we meet new people and chat with our friends. We have confidence in the current team of nurses and aides. Our head nurse and her assistant work very hard to maintain a full schedule of caregivers. For us the staffing looks to be the best its been since arriving at the end of 2023. The Chief Executive Officer and her administrative staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Always available to hear residents concerns and comments. Suggestions are welcomed. They truly try to implement suggestions when feasible and work quickly toward resolutions when issues arise. I want to give kudos to the receptionists who are some of the most patient and helpful staff members. Often getting challenging questions, complaints and balancing several balls in the air. I can count on them to relay messages or get the answers needed in a timely manner. My husband and I have lived at Danbury over two years and have not regretted leaving our home for the friendly, stimulating, family atmosphere of assisted living at Danbury Senior Living in Hudson. It’s a relief not to have to cook, clean or do laundry. There is someone to help, no matter what problem arises. Response time is certainly quicker than calling a repair man, for example. We have made so many friends here. This is home.

The rooms are kept repaired and are cleaned once a week. The food is good. Although it is more like a three star restaurant rather than a five star. Most of the servers very good. The aids for the most part are good and very friendly. The response most of time is 5 to 15 minutes. Although at times when is very busy it may a bit long but never more than 30 minutes, but that almost never happen. All stay from director on down are very concerned for the residences.

Food is mediocre. Vegetables are not cooked and too hard to eat, therefore, hard for residents to get proper nourishment.

My mother has been a resident at Danbury in Hudson for 4 months now since needing more care and assistance with medications. She was previously in Springwood, the sister facility for independent living. The transition to Danbury was easy and well-managed by the staff and administration. The staff (nurses, care-givers, dining, maintenance, and front desk/office) have been simply OUTSTANDING. I really can't say enough about how friendly and kind every single person has been to my mom. My sister and I rest much easier knowing she's getting the care and attention she needs. The activities are frequent and varied. In hindsight for my mom wishes she had moved to Danbury sooner. My sister and I advocated for it but mom was too happy with her apartment and friends at Springwood. If she had moved a bit sooner, she would have had an easier time getting into all the activities and options available. The other residents are all friendly and welcoming. The facilities are quite lovely. The common spaces allow for plenty of space to visit with friends and family. The rooms vary in size and most tend to be on the smaller side. That worried mom at first, but her studio apartment is set up quite nicely for her needs and she's quite happy with it. I think the food is above average for an assisted living facility. I like it. The combination of the dining room plus a mix of happy hours, mixers, ice cream Sunday bars, etc. provide good variety. I'll repeat the most important part, the staff, especially the nurses, care-givers and dining staff, are so welcoming, kind, and helpful. It's truly impressive to see, and I'm very thankful.

Danbury of Hudson is under staffed. 2nd Director this year 3rd DON since January of 2023. Nurses working 18Hr shifts. Not enough Nurses during the day or night. 2 Nurses during the day and 1 at night. Massive turnover in staffing. Medication not always given out. Staff is for wall dressing not effective.

We're living here. The appearance is very nice, and the layout is very convenient. The food is good, my wife is playing Scrabble right now, and I have played bingo. The facility has nice surroundings, the staff is very accommodating, and is very nice and helpful.

I chose to be here. I picked the room Im moving into. They explained the activities, and it sounded like they can keep me active. There were people talking to each other when I was there. I was very impressed with what I saw. The dining area looked big, it looked inviting, and you would think that it was a restaurant. Its a nice looking, antsy place. They have an exercise room.
