"I liked Brookdale Montrose. They had a nice outdoor area. They had a nice kitchen area and a nice dining area. What I didn't like about it was it was smaller, like there were not as many residents, but I did see people playing a small version of cornhole. The staff member was really nice. In fact, she's even called me since just to check and see how my dad is doing and everything, which I thought was really nice. I saw an efficiency room that we liked a lot that actually had a wall that's divided into two, so it was like it had a separate bedroom. They showed us a couple of different rooms and we thought they were all adequate, but they didn't have a kitchenette. They didn't have the fridge and the microwave, which our dad needed."

"We picked Heritage Crossing because my sister and I did some research and this facility just seems like it would fit my mom's needs. The people were very helpful. The last place that she was in was going to charge my mom for an entire month's stay, but Heritage Crossing said that they would take care of it for us, so that was big. The people here are very friendly. So far, we're very pleased. We're able to go visit my mom outside for now while the weather is warm enough, and they're very cooperative about that. They're supposedly using all the measures possible to protect against the COVID-19 virus. She says that the food is good. So far, they have activities two days a week. My mom has been enjoying them and it got to a point where she's interested in the activities."

"I met the Community development director at Cardinal Court, when considering possible long term care for my father in the future. She was professional and kind. She walked me through the process for if that time came and continued to check in with me for support and encouragement as I cared for my father. On one of those calls, I expressed the turn of events that I was having at the "Rehab Facility", she along with the Administrative director and the Nursing director help me get my fathered transferred and settled in at Cardinal Court, asap. Within a few months my father was social, active, walking again, eating and happy! I cannot express our appreciation for the care and love you've all shown him. Everyone from the awesome Nursing staff and Caregiver's; to the secretary and receptionist, the Business manager; the activities coordinator; the head chef, the maintenance director and 'Everyone' in between, "Thank You"!! "The Inn at Apple Ridge was new, small, and had a pretty good range of activities. The people were very welcoming and friendly. The salesperson who took us through was very good and very nice. They have games and things scattered throughout the building for people to play, table games, a large outdoor courtyard with some activities, beanbag tosses, and a putting green. It's a very nice place."

"I liked Vitalia Senior Residences at Strongsville. My tour experience was very good. They had a lot to offer. I liked the way their dining room was set up. The rooms were pretty. They're spacious and secure to keep an eye on my mom when she's there. It is unique as far as having a heat sensor to check on her."

"The staff at was very professional, and it was a very nice facility. The dining area was very clean. They had a beauty salon and they also had excursions for the people to go on field trips, which were very nice. Everybody I spoke to was very friendly and very helpful."

"I'm in Danbury Broadview Heights. Kim, the DON, makes you feel pretty good. She always has a smile on her face. She laughs with you. If you're having a bad day, she listens. She's a very good listener. I had an issue and there were no nurses in their station, so I wheeled down to Kim's office, and she handled the whole thing for me. I didn't have to get involved with talking to my dentist's office. There's a handful of aides that are very caring. When you have to take a shower, they're right in there with you, not in the shower, but in the bathroom. They kindly remind me that it's my day today, and I'll tell them either yes or no. They'll say, "OK, I'll stop back in and ask you again, but there's no pressure." They will help you with whatever you want. I dropped a whole bunch of stuff on the floor. I cannot bend over due to my accident, and they kindly cleaned it up for me. My apartment is a studio apartment. Everything I need is in here, such as a TV, dresser, sink, refrigerator, I have two chairs in here and a bed, and the closet. I talked to Allison that I am looking at a particular suite if it becomes available and she says she'll keep that in mind. I'm happy where I'm at, but when I bring visitors in, I don't think they want to look at my bedding. We have a bistro and a pub. We have two living rooms, one downstairs and one upstairs and the eating areas. There's plenty of places you can go to instead of just sitting in your room. There's a whole bunch of activities. They have nail care. They have Parkinson's, Lunch and Learn. They also have another one about dementia. They have a number of educational classes. Today they have Laughter with Yoga. They have seated workout. They have a game room down there. People play pool, shoot baskets, and throw axes at a board. If you don't take part of them, they encourage you to go to at least one or two and not become stuck in your room all the time. I've been to two or three other places before coming here, and this one is by far the best that I've been through. The staff is friendly and caring, but like human beings, sometimes we might have a bad day. There's no lack of interaction. We wear these little things around our neck because I have fallen a couple times and thank goodness, I had one of the buttons because I needed help and a speedy response. They are in the hallways every day. They just keep cleaning and cleaning and cleaning. At these other facilities I have been, you could smell urine or you can see people out in the hallways sitting in their wheelchairs. Here, people are mobile, in their wheelchairs or maybe they have to be pushed, but there are always movements. If somebody has an idea that they would like to see, they'll try it. Like we have a fellow that's 100 years old. He made a game and people go down and play it. The rates just keep going up and up and up. Every January, we can expect quite a hefty."

"My husband was recently diagnosed with dementia at the age of 64. It seemed to come on pretty quick. Being so young we were devastated and did not know what to do. It was highly recommended that my husband live in assisted living for his safety as he needed 24 hour care. Of course, I was apprehensive but from the second I walked into Maplewood, Cuyahoga Falls, I was greeted with a special kind of TLC that I never felt at any other facility. The staff seemed to know me as soon as I walked through the door. They listened intently as tears rolled down my face. The move in was seamless. The staff did everything. All of the staff at Cuyahoga Falls always goes above and beyond the call of duty. From the receptionists (always on duty), to all the maintenance department, Aides, STNA’s, RN’s, all administration and Director. I just can’t say enough about this team as they all set the bar so high that other facilities seem to fall short. My husband developed relationships with the staff and residents even though he made every effort to stay isolated. The staff always keeps the line of communication open, keeps me informed and responds promptly to any questions or concerns. The facility itself is beautiful and very modern with plenty of space for residents. The rooms are private, very clean and fresh with beautiful views to the outside. Maplewood also has plenty of activities to keep residents engaged and minds active. I would recommend this facility to anyone in need of senior living care. "

"Vitalia Active Adult Community at North Royalton had excellent meals, snacks, and food options. It was a brand new place. It was fantastic. Their bedroom was nice. They gave a good presentation of their place. The price was just pretty high."

"I stayed a year ago for two months. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had three meals a day in a shared dining room. The food was excellent. My only complaint was that their servings were too large. The rooms were very large. The resident rooms and the common spaces were kept very clean. They had shared common rooms like we had Wii bowling in a TV room, they had bingo in a community room, and they had happy hour on Fridays in the front lobby. I got a lot of value out of it."
