The rooms are new, clean, and the food is delicious with the freedom of choice for all residents between daily specials or menu classics! They try hard to engage their residents with weekly activities and a social event calendar that is always so thoughtful. There is so much that families can be a part of, too!"

Both the dining room and the activities that they had were really nice. They kept people busy. They had a salon, a courtyard, and a room in which they did activities. "

"My mother-in-law moved here. We chose it because of the location. We like the security of the facility. It feels like a hotel, not a senior living facility. It's very clean, and they have friendly staff. The biggest thing I want to stress is they went above and beyond the day we moved in to help us. Due to COVID, food is being delivered to the rooms currently. She loves the food. I would do four stars because the eggs are cold in the morning. When they can finally go back to the dining room, I'm sure it will be better. But she's happy with the food. They normally do have activities, but because of COVID, there's no activity now. There's a library, a room that you can rent for large parties, a beauty shop, and there's a snack shop."

"My mom has been a resident of Danbury Senior Living for the past 6 years. She tells me all the time how much she likes it there and how safe it makes her feel. The staff are attentive, friendly and supportive. The apartments are roomy and well maintained. They have a lovely courtyard that mom really enjoys during the summer months. The facility itself is quite attractive and kept sparkling clean. They always have fun daily activities and regular family events that are such an enjoyable experience. The staff make it a point to reach out and keep me informed about anything that might be going on with mom. I am grateful that my mom is so well looked after and I don’t have to worry about her when I can’t be there. Danbury Senior Living is such a blessing to my family and a very important and valuable addition to our lives."

"I was very worried about the health and well-being of both my parents before they moved in to Storypoint. Since they have moved in they are so active, happy, and all around healthier than before. Storypoint has taken away not only my stress but that of my parents. The rooms are more than big enough for 2. They hardly ever use their kitchen because of the great meals provided. The outings and activities are the best. There is always something going on at Storypoint. I would recommend them over and over again. Wish they would have moved in sooner. "We toured Vitalia Senior Residences at Montrose. It's gorgeous. It's very high-end. The staff seems wonderful. We did eat food there. Their food was excellent and it's like a menu. They have regular China, silverware, cloth napkins, and menus so you can get anything that you want. You can get breakfast at any time of the day. I mean, you can get breakfast at 6:00 at night, just makes a difference. My mother got a sandwich and I had gotten a different sandwich. The only thing that would concern us is the fact that my mother is handicapped. She's on a scooter. For her to get into bed, she needs handrails to help get her into bed. So the only problem is the fact that we looked and they don't have any, like at home, she has a hospital bed. The price was expensive, but it was beautiful."

"We had a very good tour experience at Brookdale Canton. It was friendly, clean, and cheerful. The food was good. They had one entree, but then they also had the "always available" menu. The facility was in excellent condition. The rooms just seemed a little smaller. The dining area was very nice with lots of windows and light. The activities, though, seemed a little lighter. They had more for the women. They had bingo once a day and crafts, but the activities for the men seemed a little light."

"Brookdale Montrose was fantastic. It was a beautiful place, and the rooms were great and bright. The staff was very nice, and they had a room where there's an outside entrance so I can take my dog out in the middle of the night when he has to go. Their meal selections look very good as well as their activities. Their religious aspect as far as being able to take you to church was very good. I can't really find a complaint with them, and I really enjoyed my visit with them. It's good. "

"I liked the different programs, and the apartments that they have. The apartments were nice and big. The staff was friendly. The food was good. They have computers, a library, and craft activities. Cleanliness was also very good. There was a lot of green space and a courtyard for you to sit in. It was nice."

"We picked Heritage Crossing because my sister and I did some research and this facility just seems like it would fit my mom's needs. The people were very helpful. The last place that she was in was going to charge my mom for an entire month's stay, but Heritage Crossing said that they would take care of it for us, so that was big. The people here are very friendly. So far, we're very pleased. We're able to go visit my mom outside for now while the weather is warm enough, and they're very cooperative about that. They're supposedly using all the measures possible to protect against the COVID-19 virus. She says that the food is good. So far, they have activities two days a week. My mom has been enjoying them and it got to a point where she's interested in the activities."

"We like Heritage Villas. It fits our price range, and it feels like a home rather than a facility. Those are the main reasons. It was built like a house. You feel like you're at your own house. It's in a neighborhood, so it feels like you're not in a facility building, but you're in a house, which is a lot nicer than other places. I just like the setup and how it felt. The person who toured us was very friendly. I didn't get to look at the menu, but they have a person who cooks meals for each house, so I like that idea. And the kitchen looked like a normal kitchen, it didn't look like a facility, so I like that setup, too."

"We went to Allay Senior Care of Meyers Lake. It was very good, they were very helpful. She walked us through, took us to the room, and showed us around. We even communicated with some of the people that lived there, and that was pretty awesome. She got upset a little bit because they were interfering with the tour, and we told her it was fine because we understand that they're like that, and just want to know what's going on. She was fine with that, once we told her we didn't care about them walking around. She's been calling me, keeping in touch with me to find out if I've made up my mind yet. She said if there was any way she could help us to please let her know and she would do whatever she could. I appreciate all that kind of help. It's very helpful for me. I thought it was very nice. It was very clean. The rooms were very nice, but I just think they're a little bit small. They have a beautiful outside patio. They have gardens there that people can help with, and they're allowed to bring in the food and stuff from the gardenn, and I think that's great that they allow them to do that."

"My cousin moved into Saint Luke Lutheran Home. He has a much bigger room here than in the other facility. It is a very nice-sized single room. And, the cost is significantly about $2,000 a month less than the four or five other facilities I checked into. And that's why he left where he was. That's a significant amount. And the care, it's got a good doctor. The doctor sees him every couple of weeks. They have a staff doctor. They have a good number of permanent nurses and aides. They use some agency people, but they're working to keep everything going. There's been no missed care that I know of. There's the availability of nurses stations. There are at least three nurses stations in the skilled area. So, a good number of staff are always available. They have just recently converted from an agency therapy department to an in-house one, which seems to be more responsive. They have an in-house duty barber. They wash all the clothes. They will serve all three meals a day in his room if he wants. They have an activity person who monitors each person's activity to see that you can keep them active in some way or socializing in some form."
