"The facility was very well kept. the rooms were comfortable. the staff was very attentive to the needs of the people staying there and also to visitors. My Aunt commented that the food was very good. and visitors could also have a meal if they wished. they had many activities and trips planned for the residents. at least once a week they had entertainment. they also provided church services. "While my grandfather was there we were able to observe the people who were interacting with him on a daily basis. The staff, from the physical therapists to the nurses, were so professional but also acted like we were family. We got to know them on a first name basis and they always had an update on how things were going. The facility and his room were always clean and neat. The activities that they provided kept my grandfather entertained. It was good to know they really had his best interests at heart following his brief illness. The grounds around the building were clean and it provided another area to visit. It was nice to get outside instead of being in the building all day. "The Inn at Northwood Village met my dad’s needs being that he has Alzheimer’s. The level of specific care he needs is in the Alzheimer’s part of Northwood Village. It’s very nice, and he is accommodated very well. They’ve been very helpful that way. They set up the appointment for me to go look at it on Labor Day. The lady was very helpful. We needed the care quickly, within two weeks from the time I walked through. It was a very stressful time, and everything they did was very helpful. The room has a shower. The whole floor is tiled, so therefore it’s real easy for them to clean. It’s very easy for his needs because he’s still very mobile. The facility opens up right into where the dining area is with plenty of sitting areas and activities they can do. It’s a very nice-looking, brand-new place built in 2014, I believe, so it’s very nice. I believe they’re talking of building behind it soon as well. It has an area in the center where he can go and walk around outdoors. It has a fountain in the middle, but he can’t get out. They come back in through the doors that have alarms the require codes when you go in and out. They thought of everything as far as what they have for their people and their different situations. I think it’s very difficult for that situation, and they did a very good job. I don’t have any complaints as far as with the staff. Anything that needed to be improved, they did a very good job improving. "

"My mother is at Walnut Hills nursing home. They're very caring and it's a very friendly nursing home. When people are out of state, they have been calling and giving us updates on my mom so that we know what's been going on. They keep in touch with the families, too. It's a pretty big facility. They have different levels of care that are needed there. Assisted living is in one part, specialty care is in another part, the nursing home is in another part, and then they have condominiums for people who are just in the retirement stage. It's all kind of spread out in different sections, yet all right together on one campus. She's in transitional care right now just to get physical therapy and eventually will be moving to assisted living."

"I went to Brewster Parke, Inc. I was impressed with their bedrooms. It was very big and had a queen-size bed, TV, microwave, and refrigerator. The building I was touring was brand-new, which may explain why it was so pristine. The staff was very professional. The rooms had access to outdoor areas that were fenced in, so that looked like a nice feature."

"My friend been living here for 6 years now and he really like this place. They have lots of activities and play cards with his many friends and the food not to bad. But they need more help with laundry because he go with out clothes sometimes because there no one to wash them. His food not on time like it was, no works their also. And less baths he gets because no workers. But he really loves this place and his room mate . I pray they get more workers. Thy"

"My grandmother was in Amherst Meadows. It was fine. We weren't allowed in and we weren't able to see the amenities inside, but we were allowed to talk to her through the window. It was more hospital-like because it was a rehabilitation and skilled nursing place. The staff seemed very nice, and they were welcoming our questions. They did a good job of communicating when my dad and my aunt had questions. I don't have anything negative to say about them. I think my grandmother was comfortable. Her place was already furnished, so she was using their stuff, and I think it was good."

"Before COVID hit, we would see a friend of ours at Canton Christian Home. The staff was really good. It's a very clean facility, very well taken care of. In fact, I don't even think they had COVID the whole time. There were a lot of things to do. They have a dining room, a snack room where you can take your family for ice cream and snacks. It's right on Cleveland Avenue and Malone College is also there. The rooms were very nice, with lots of closet spaces, and a nice-size little kitchen where you can cook."

"We put my mom-in-law in Glenwood Care and Rehabilitation. She tried to escape on the first night. They moved her into their memory care unit, which is a locked floor. They worked very, very hard to get her in. She was without a home and without a lot of funding to find a place. She did not qualify for Medicare or Medicaid. We were really kind of optionless. The admissions gal actually talked up the regional people and told them we need to get her in there. They worked as hard and as quickly as they could to get her in. I think within four days they had a room for her. I'm very impressed with their admission, and their care about her situation. Since they moved her to the memory floor, I'm confident that they're going to take care of her needs and treat her as she needs to be treated. Most of the staff that we've come in contact with have been very nice and very helpful. I know they are short staffed. It is a small concern of mine that she may not be interacted with as much as we'd like her to be. That's the only negative thing I have seen thus far. Her room is not the nicest, but it's not the worst. I did have to clean a little bit. Her room had a broken drawer that they were going to fix. I think a lot of that is just being short handed. They may have like one or two janitors working on the whole place, so I understand that. It wasn't like a top notch room. They told me that she ate all of her breakfast in the morning, so the food must not be awful. She now goes to the dining room on her floor, though there's also a larger dining hall below. She also ate in her room at one point. They seem to have a very good menu and options available. They have a few outdoor spaces. When we went, they were re-paving the parking lot. They have a pond with a gazebo, tables, and chairs. There's an outdoor patio that's through the main dining hall. We can check her out, and we're able to take her outside with us. Right now it's not the cushiest; they can do more things with it. There are a few areas outside where people can sit and socialize. Because of COVID, they're not doing a lot, but they're starting field trips soon. I think they have a bus or something where residents can sign up to go to different outings. Their cost is like $200 a day, which I think is pretty reasonable. "
