"Park Village Health Care Center was nice. The people were nice. Everything looked really nice. They were well cared for. It was older than the other facility, but same people own them. The staff was very nice. I saw a guy first, who introduced me to the girl that gave the tour. They have independent living on one side and assisted living on the other side. If you have a car, you get to park there outside. There are no garages like at the other place. They had an exercise room and a library. There was a little room where people sang, played the piano, and that kind of stuff. They didn't have the cottages, but still what they had was really nice."

"While my grandfather was there we were able to observe the people who were interacting with him on a daily basis. The staff, from the physical therapists to the nurses, were so professional but also acted like we were family. We got to know them on a first name basis and they always had an update on how things were going. The facility and his room were always clean and neat. The activities that they provided kept my grandfather entertained. It was good to know they really had his best interests at heart following his brief illness. The grounds around the building were clean and it provided another area to visit. It was nice to get outside instead of being in the building all day. Overall, we had a good experience with Hennis Care Center. "

"The Inn at Northwood Village was a very nice place. You walk into a very nice open area with the fireplace, and then they had a little ice cream bar and a coffee bar. It was just really nice inside. The room I saw was nice and spacious. It was like a little three-part room, where it had a kitchen/dining area, a bedroom, and a living room area. The staff during the tour was very nice. They also did a bone density screen while we were there. The place was very new. They had a dining room, a beauty shop, and a little room for exercising. They had rooms for two people, single rooms, and smaller rooms."

"My mother is at Walnut Hills nursing home. They're very caring and it's a very friendly nursing home. When people are out of state, they have been calling and giving us updates on my mom so that we know what's been going on. They keep in touch with the families, too. It's a pretty big facility. They have different levels of care that are needed there. Assisted living is in one part, specialty care is in another part, the nursing home is in another part, and then they have condominiums for people who are just in the retirement stage. It's all kind of spread out in different sections, yet all right together on one campus. She's in transitional care right now just to get physical therapy and eventually will be moving to assisted living."

"I enjoyed visiting my grandparents at Altercare during their times there. The staff were very friendly and tended well to my grandparents and every one that visited when my grandfather was passing. They had activities my grandmother enjoyed alot. Overall I would recommend Altercare to anyone going to a nursing home. "

"My cousin is in Franklin Hall. It is very nice. He has his own room and a little deck to sit on and look at the wooded area. He has his own TV, refrigerator and really likes the other residents. The staff and the owner could not be nicer and my cousin seems to be very happy."

"I’m happy with The Inn at University Village. It’s nice and clean. The staff is friendly and professional. The food is good, and the dining room is nice. They’d play bingo. They have karaoke. They have a bus, and they take them out to eat sometimes. "

They also had what was almost like an apartment size unit that we looked at. It was very good. The staff was very friendly and very nice. They offered quite a bit of amenities. They had a salon. "I visited this facility for the first time with my mother as we looked for a place for my grandparents. It was beautiful. It had a very classy look to it. It looked like a fine home not a institutional home. The staff was very attentive and the residents seemed to be very happy. My grandparents got settled into the facilty and were right at home.Over the next year or so my grandfather made friends in the facility with fellow residents and staff. He would spend his day visiting others and filling his day with quality time. My grandmother was more of a room bound resident who enjoyed visitors from time to time. She enjoyed talking about all of her grandchildren. I was preparing to enter law school at the time and she would brag about me. When I would visit the staff was ready to greet me and share the stories my grandmother had shared with them. It was a great overall experience for both my grandparents and us as a family! "

"My mother was at Amherst Meadows. They cared more than the place where she is currently, and the quality of their people might have been a little bit better. What I didn't like about it was they didn't care if my mom did anything or not. They didn't push her to do anything and I wish they would have. She was under skilled nursing there. The food was a little better than average. They had bingo. They did a lot there, activity-wise. They had porches for them to go out and sit, and a cafeteria. There were places nearby where you could get groceries and nearby restaurants."

"I plan to move into Canton Christian Home. I liked the facilities very much, and the people there were very nice. I know a couple of people who are there already, and this facility will meet my needs. The one that I'm getting is a one-bedroom apartment and that's what I wanted. They had quite a few meeting rooms. The lobbies were very friendly. You could participate in any activity that you might want to do. They will provide meals if you don't want to cook."

"My father has been in the care of Glenwood for almost 2 years. He has gone from Long-term to assisted living. His favorite part is the connections he has built with the nursing team, activities director, social worker and the ADON! Our first experience was with eh Admissions Director and she helped us through a stressful time in finding a facility a couple years ago. My Dad has a lot of autonomy and the staff goes above and beyond both socially and medically to make sure he is comfortable. I live out of state and the communication from Glenwood to handle challenges and give me updates on my father is always quick and detailed. They really treat him like family.
