"My mother in law was placed here after her decline in another facility. She stayed 2 1/2 months at the other one, and her mind and health were worse than when she went in. After placing her here, which the care is on point, facility is beautiful, staff helpful and nice, she has made improvements within a little over a week! Best decision this family made!! "

"I visited St. Mary's in the past year to see my grandmother who is suffering from Alzeimers. As soon as I walked in, I felt the place was very secure and well-staffed with many people. I have to admit the facility seemed a little overcrowded with patients, but the staff was really nice and attended to the needs of the patients well. My grandmother has never been afraid to stay there and has even been making marked improvements over the past few months. They have good activities going on to keep her mentally busy and well maintained during this stage of her life. The only drawback about the place is that it seems a little outdated, like something out of the 1960s. I think this is overshadowed though by the care of the those working at the facility for my grandmother and the improvements she has made over the past few months since March 2011. "

"My grandma was at first very hesitant to go to an assisted living facility, especially after my grandpa passed. It was after she had to have her dog put down that she finally made the decision to move to Crossroads at Beaver Creek. We helped her do some research on the facility and she decided that she thought the rooms looked really nice. After she moved in, she began to love living at Crossroads! There are a lot of other people that she knew and for the first time in 6 years, she is really socializing like she used too before her health declined. Every time I go to visit her, she has people stopping by to say hi or some kind of activity to go to. The staff are really great with her too and have really made an effort to get to know the whole family. "

"My mom moved into the Christian House two weeks ago. Once she was there, she's very happy to be with the person she's in. It's a very casual atmosphere there. The staff has been great. She likes the food. She usually complains about the food, but she likes the food and everyone who assisted her and her physical therapy. She has nothing but good things to say. She's in a two-person room. It's very large. It has a bed area and it has a separate bath that's attached to the room. There's also a visiting area, an informal area with the TV and recliners and chairs for visitors separate from the bed area. That's working out quite well. So far, she's happy. They have game time, people come in, entertainment comes in. They go on outings, go on shopping outings, and different visits. So once she's able to feel like traveling, there will be a lot of activities for her. They have a large area that used to be like the playgrounds of the school that was converted, and they have a large canopy over a seating area so they can have activities outside, visitation when it's nice, or they can do it inside. There is ample outside space for them to take advantage of. Her roommate needed a change in clocks and they came right in and took care of it. They've been accommodating with what my mom needs as far as getting around in the room, and so they've been very helpful for that as well."

"I had a family member living at Gracewoods. The facility is very clean and the staff is friendly and treated my mother well. I always felt good when I left for the day because I never had to worry that she wasn't being taken care of. Top notch facility; very happy I Made the choice to put my mom here. "

"We toured Marian Living Center. It was our second choice. It was nice where they were located in the building. They had enough for the assisted living plus. They also had nursing across time limits. A lot of the places only had nursing with the morning and the afternoon shift, and then they would have an aide watching on the night shift. They had a nurse 24/7 on the premises. It was very nicely laid out. There was a lot of community space there. I don't think there's anything to improve on. I believe they have a salon that they could go to, I know that they go on activities, and one of the things that they went on recently was they went on an outdoor concert. There were a lot of different things that they were doing."

"We are moving my mother into Lakeview Personal Care Home. It was in her price range. The director was a really nice and personable guy. The apartments are nice and clean. They have bingo. It looked like they have something scheduled almost every day. They provide food. It's like restaurant style dining. They have a social room and a physical therapy room. They have a beautician who comes in once a week. There is a foot doctor and an eye doctor, who come in once a week as well. They're going to be getting a dentist too. There's a nice pond and a very large deck. It's a very nice place, and it is not overly priced."

"My husband and I visited Shepherd of the Valley to see if it was a good fit for my ailing mother. She is currently in her late 80s and we are no longer able to care for her like we can. My primary goals for her was to find a place that would keep her active for her age, have good nutritional options, and most of all caring and cleanly. I visited many other assisted living options in the Boardman, OH area and this one by far was the most cleanly and customer service friendly. My husband and I wanted to make the first visit to see what we think before taking my mother by to see it. Bridget the front counter rep was very courteous and welcoming. The cafeteria had great food offerings as well. I really do think that this one will be ranked in my top 3 places to narrow down to for her future care. I really liked that they would work with her primary care physician as well. "

"I have used this Nursing Facility twice & both times I had superior care. Both in staff, PT care, Hospitality, rooms with enemities & help for those needed. "

"Windsor Estates was a new facility so they had a little bit organizing to do. My sister had a big room and it was big enough to be divided. On one side, it was her bed with desk and night stand. On the other side, I put a love seat, pair of chairs, a big table with the television on it, a big dresser and a reclining chair. She had no kitchenette, and there was a bathroom wih a walk-in shower. Some residents liked the food and others did not. It was a lovely place and I was pleased. The only negative about it was that there were no grounds that you could walk on. It was pretty much a parking lot around it. "

"My dad lives in The Inn at Walker Mill. It's a beautiful community and it was built in 2008. Everybody seems friendly and pleasant there, and the residents seem grateful. When I go there to visit strangers ask me how I'm doing and things like that, and the staff is always on top of everything. They have all kinds of activities, and they have so many things going on up there that it's unbelievable. The food is excellent. When I visit I smell the food, but I don't hang around because then I'd get hungry. Their facilities are excellent, they have exercises, places for seniors to read books, TV rooms, and so on. There's a free phone in your room, it's a big room with your own shower, and a bathroom and everything. My dad is happy. The room is big. It's like an efficiency apartment and everything is clean inside and out. The elderly people greet me when I come in. They also have a doctor and he's a saint."

"She's been at The Inn at Ironwood for quite a few months now and she has been very, very happy with the facility. Her room is a nice size and the staff has been wonderful. She is more social than she has ever been, and she was never social to begin with. She has been much better than we thought she would. She has a one-bedroom suite and it is a nice size. We are able to fit several pieces of furniture, her television, and her bed. The kitchen has a small refrigerator and small sink, but with plenty of storage. Their price is quite a bit cheaper compared to others and that surprised me, so we are very, very happy with the place. "

"My mother was at this facility for rehab after her heart attack 2 month ago. She did amazing she was walking and back to herself in know time. The facility was clean , the staff was friendly and the nurses made her and myself feel like family. "
