"Carriage Manor looks more like a bed and breakfast than a nursing home or personal care home. The staff is very caring but right now, they're understaffed. They have either single rooms or double rooms. They've got a front porch and a rear porch you can sit out on. We moved my mother to another place because she needs more care, but for somebody that needs assisted living, this place is a good value. Since they are understaffed right now, they don't want to take out time to do the activities. It's not that the people are not cared for, because they are. But I don't think they got the time or the staff to do the extra things like the activities and such."

"The facility struggles with being understaffed, yet the staff were truly wonderful. They were professional and kind and caring. Have no complaints about any one staff. We were satisfied with the care, treatment and greatly appreciate the atmosphere provided. Any issues with staffing occurs everywhere. What stands out the most was the cleanliness of the patients, patients bedding and attire. The dusting doesn't always get done, but the laundry and the patient are given great care. For over 2 years they cared for my mother and truly appreciate their service 🙏."

"The director at Jameson Place was very knowledgeable. She gave me a tour of the entire facility and explained how things worked. Everything was super clean. Every time a resident leaves, everything is fully refurbished and renovated. The facility was very nice. My father thought it was beautiful and said that when it was time, that's where he would like to go. Their meals are all homemade. They have a couple of alternate menus, in case the residents don't want what's being served that day. They also have a full refrigerator stocked and a pantry stocked in case the residents get hungry or skipped a meal. It's just at their disposal whenever they want it, which I thought was very, very nice. The rooms were very nice. The 1-bedroom was what we were interested in and it was bigger than I thought it would be. It was actually the size of a small apartment. The kitchen area was just enough for someone who doesn't have access to cooking. The living area was enough to set up an actual living room. The closet space was very nice, so he could bring some mementos with him if he wanted to. The cleanliness was spotless, but the facilities were a little dated."

"The best part of the facility is the food. I find the dietary staff is always accommodating when we visit mom. The food is excellent quality and superb service. Overall I’m very pleased with the care but I feel the activities available are lacking. Thank you to all the staff at shenango on the green. "

"Masternick Memorial Helath Care Center was fairly new and really very nice too. It was a beautifully decorated and also village type place like the other place was, but it was very clean, very bright, and cheerful. It wasn't dark or dirty or smelly, and it was just really very beautiful. Like I said, the room was very clean, very bright, and sunny; the walls were painted yellow, and it was just very cheerful. "

"My mom moved to The Inn at Poland Way. What I like about this place is the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff, and residents seem very happy there. My mother is pleased with the food selections and the level of social activities they provide. Everything is in place. It's neat and well-maintained. The common areas are beautiful, with plenty of seating room, and plenty of rooms for families to come and visit. My mother, who is lactose intolerant, had her needs met, and they're providing her with adequate, delicious, nutritious meals. It has three nice windows that allow a lot of sunlight, and natural light. It's very user-friendly for her, she uses a walker and has ample room to move around comfortably and safely."

"I toured The Blackburn Home. It's a little dated. It's an older building that was remodeled into being a retirement assisted living type of place. The rooms were small, the quarters were tight. It's just an older, smaller building. They were very attentive to my mom's needs. What she was looking for, and what she felt comfortable with, and that was very helpful in explaining to us what they would be able to assist her with there. So if somebody is looking for a smaller place where it's not as confusing with all the people in bigger areas to move around, it would be a nice place, but it is on the small side."

"First of all, Hampton Woods Nursing Center was clean, and it was beautiful and family friendly. When my mother was there for nursing, my grandchildren were more than welcome, and there were things for them to do. It was just like a little village. It was wonderful, and it was just excellent care, and everything was right there if you would need it, so this was the number one choice. Her room was very nice, it had a window with a beautiful view out into the woods, it was clean and really close to everything like the dining table and the playroom where the kids would sit in front of the TV; everything was right there, and there was an outdoor patio. It was really excellent, and the employees were really superior, over and above, very caring people. "

"My aunt moved to the assisted living facility of Christian House - Palestine, and the place is nice. They do activities, they take care of her, feed her, and wash her. The staff is lovely. For activities, they do Silver Sneakers and puzzles, and they have people come and sing. She has a roommate, and the room is nice and big. I have tried their food and it was very good. The dining area is clean, and there are a lot of people there to help out."

"My dad lives in The Inn at Walker Mill. It's a beautiful community and it was built in 2008. Everybody seems friendly and pleasant there, and the residents seem grateful. When I go there to visit strangers ask me how I'm doing and things like that, and the staff is always on top of everything. They have all kinds of activities, and they have so many things going on up there that it's unbelievable. The food is excellent. When I visit I smell the food, but I don't hang around because then I'd get hungry. Their facilities are excellent, they have exercises, places for seniors to read books, TV rooms, and so on. There's a free phone in your room, it's a big room with your own shower, and a bathroom and everything. My dad is happy. The room is big. It's like an efficiency apartment and everything is clean inside and out. The elderly people greet me when I come in. They also have a doctor and he's a saint."
