"Our family is very pleased with this facility. We settled Mom in this November. The Commons met every requirement presented on reputable websites that suggested what to look for. I was impressed at my first visit and at subsequent visits showing family members. I was met by different staff each time and all were friendly, helpful, knowledgable and were glad to be working there. Most have been there long term. The decor is updated and the dining room is set up as a lovely restaurant. Apartments are clean, laundry is done separately, etc. As you can see, we are pleased. Mom would rather be home, of course, but is starting to participate in several activities, and had her hair done at the little beauty shop too. "

"Autumn Hills Care Center couldn't have been a better place for my grandmother to recover from her bout of pneumonia last year. She was there for almost two months while she was getting her strength back and besides not feeling well she described it to me as a little vacation. I went there almost everyday and every day that I went there my grandmother was actively doing something to keep her busy and get to know the other people staying there. They had things such as bingo, music, movies, parades, etc. She loved all of the activity and not just having to sit in her room watching TV all day. The staff was also so friendly to both her and me while we were there. They were constantly coming in asking if she was ok, if she needed anything, and changing her linens. It was one of the most kindest and cleanest care facilities I had ever seen. After hearing many horror stories about places like this I was pleasantly surprised by the service that she got for the amount of money we were paying. "

"I visited Grace Woods Senior Living when my family and I were looking for assisted living for an elder family member. We fall in love with the place it was very clean and the staff were all very helpful. The employees answered our questions and let us see the things they do to keep the residents busy such as bingo games. We however; choose to move our elder family member in with another family member but we do highly recommended Grace Woods Senior Living to our friends looking for a place for his or her loved one. I give Grace Woods 5 out 5 stars. "

"My aunt lived in Niles. It had a nice entrance, and upstairs you would find the rooms. It always appeared to be nicely kept. They had a dining room that was off down the hall. She was in a wheelchair, and they were very attentive and very good to her. "

"My grandfather is currently in Continuing Healthcare at the Ridge in Mineral Ridge. He's in the nursing home side of it. The initial appearance and the public spaces of the facility are fair in maintenance but the rooms themselves that we have been in have not been maintained to the level of my expectation. There are cleanings and care that could be done to the rooms to improve them. The staff is wonderful and they're doing what they can with the number of staff that they have. Unfortunately, I feel like they're overwhelmed with patients. Maybe the caseload is a little much to be getting the care that the patients truly deserve. He's only been able to get his food in his room since he hasn't been able to get out and socialize. All of the food he's had has been satisfactory. I think improving on cleanliness needs to be their top priority. I know staffing is a huge issue with everybody so more adequate staffing for patient care could be improved too."

"Shepherd of the Valley Liberty is aesthetically very nice, and so far the staff has been caring and has been very good. The activities are nice. They have bingo, Jeopardy, and Family Feud nights where they offer drinks. They have different church services and music. They have a nice library. I think they're expensive, especially with skilled nursing, but I'm very happy that my father is there. It's not near hospitals. There's a grocery store nearby and a couple of simple restaurants like Chipotle and McDonald's."

"I stayed at Cortland Healthcare Rehabilitation for 17 days after surgery. The staff was incredible. Everyone from nurses, aids, PT, OT, activities, and housekeeping all treated me like family. Everyone was so sweet. They took the time to get to know me and make me feel comfortable at a very hard time. I loved how they respected my privacy. If my door was shut everyone always knocked before coming in and if I was on the phone they I was given as much privacy as I wanted. My room was beautiful. The rehab wing was added November 2016 so it isn't even a year old. It was like staying in a hotel. Since I had a private room the visitation rules are very liberal. My cat got to come see me one day which did so much for my moral. My husband was encouraged to stay as long as he wanted and he did. Some nights until midnight or later. The PT and OT staff create a program to help you recover as quickly and safely as possible. I went from barely able to walk without assistance to now being able to walk around my house without worrying about falling. I visited the nursing wings to visit with people I met and they were just as nice and clean as the rehab wing. There was no bad smells, the residents were clean, happy, well fed, and active. The food was good not like homemade but way better than the average cafeteria food. There was a lot of variety. We got the menus in the morning and if didn't like what was served for lunch or dinner we could pick from a list of substitutes. Also on intake someone from the kitchen meets with you and goes through a list of foods to see what you like and what you don't. The only reason I didn't give Cortland Healthcare 5 stars was because they only offer a low sugar diet. They don't offer a lot of sugar free things like jello, pudding, yogurt, snack, etc.. as a new diabetic it can be hard figuring out what is OK to eat and what isn't. My experience at Cortland Healthcare was wonderful and if I ever need to recover someplace from surgery or an injury again I would want to go there. "

"We got our mother in Victoria House, and we're very pleased with it. They seem to be doing a good job, and she's doing as well as possible. The facility is very nice. She's a wanderer, so she's in the dementia ward. The food is good, and she seems to like it. The dementia ward is excellently laid out. When she comes out of her room, she's inside of a nurses' station and with the staff. It's very open and airy once you come out of your room. They have transportation."

"Liberty Arms is a beautiful place. However, they didn't seem to think they can handle my mom's needs. It was kind of they've already made up their mind before they came to see her. And I know they gave her a very good evaluation. The rooms there were kind of odd-shaped with an odd setup. The staff would make sure everybody gets down to the dining room during meal time, and if somebody is missing they'll go look for them. Or if someone would need assistance they'll take them to the dining area. "

"Omni West was very clean and very spacious. The people were very friendly, and I was really impressed with that. The areas that we saw were lovely. It’s a lovely facility. Everything seemed very nice. My husband said he wouldn’t mind being there. Everybody was very competent, and they knew what we were looking for. "
