We have an age range between 57 and 97 years old, with the average age being 80.
What programs or activities does Continuing Healthcare at the Ridge offer to enrich residents' well-being?
Bi-monthly outings to restaurants, going to the mall, or visiting local attractions such as petting zoos, casino, or visiting the music hall. Residents also enjoy a full range of activities, such as baking clubs, card clubs, ice cream socials, gardening, birthday celebrations, bingo, live entertainment and much more!

The Eastwood Mall complex, local restaurants, drug stores, hair and nail salons, grocery stores, Hollywood Casino, Scrapper's field, departments stores and more.

We do not offer transportation outside of outings with activity department, however we are happy to assist with setting up transportation services.

We offer restaurant style dining, with meal options at each meal to be selected from a menu. Also offered is a 24 hour menu with a wide assortment of a la carte items.

The building is secured between the hours of 9:00pm and 5:00am, in which a visitor would need to ring doorbell to be let in by staff, to ensure residents and staff safety. The facility has 24 hour nursing staff as well, to oversee the wellness of all of our residents.
How does Continuing Healthcare at the Ridge keep residents' families informed about their loved ones?
Each resident will have an assessment annually, as well as with any change in condition. The family and residents are always informed of any changes in a residents care plan, and are able to be a part of the care plan development, to ensure each residents satisfaction with the plan of care.
What is the care staff-to-resident ratio at Continuing Healthcare at the Ridge during daytime and nighttime hours?
The facility maintains one LPN during day time hours, as well as one healthcare aide, and the nursing director. In the evenings, there is one healthcare aide and a nurse available for emergencies. The capacity of the Ridge Assisted Living is 26. The Ridge maintains staffing based on residents needs as well as census.

We do not accept pets.

Our staff are in-serviced monthly on topics relevant to senior health care, as well as required to complete online courses each month in order to keep all staff abreast of issues surrounding care for seniors, not exclusive to direct care staff.
